Family run Mexican-American taqueria that's a bit over priced but serves good food with a smile. The staff were extremely friendly and recommend the taquitos which were great though I wish they served more. The restaurant is more of a fast dining location with limited seating. this place is amazing! we stopped here with a party of 6 on a cool, rainy evening recently. With only 10 minutes before closing, they happily said they would accommodate us. The kiddos absolutely loved their Gluten free burritos, the chips are really yummy and made in house. My daughter had a smothered burrito with chicken and veggies. Her hubby has some tacos that disappeared fast! my husband had some delicious looking chicken street tacos and i had the best chili rellenos I've had in Colorado. (not crispy, very lightly breaded, GF by the way, and the perfect sauce for a relleno as well). We all shared some black beans and cilantro rice, that was loved and devoured by all. The staff was really sweet, very helpful, and we will definitely be back! the seating is mostly outside but they look to have heaters for when things turn colder. they offer a few different beers, margaritas, perhaps other alcoholic beverages, and several soft drinks too. very casual atmosphere and really great. read more

My coworker stumbled on this place and noticed it was close to our work so we decided to go there for lunch one day. We walked in and there was no one else there. Kind of odd for lunch time. They have a few tables inside and a few tables outside for dining. I noticed they didn't have prices on their menu online, so I was little shocked when I went to order tacos and they were $5.25 each. That is quite high for just a taco. I decided to go with that and ordered 1 asada taco and 1 chicken taco with a side of beans. That paired with an horchata my meal was $18. For lunch I will say that is pricey. My tacos came out and they looked great except they were pretty small. Obviously hand made though, but small in size. The chicken was a little bland. I don't think I would get a chicken taco again. The asada though... the asada taco was amazing! I wish i got 2 of those instead. The beans were yummy too. They offer refried, black and pinto beans. Not many places give you all of those options. Next time I want to try an asada burrito since that asada was sooooo good. Service was good. It was one girl working the counter and she also made my coworkers salad. A guy was on a ladder working on something on the wall. Another guy sat in a booth with a lap top that worked there. I wanted to like this spot. The customer service was great, very friendly and a clean establishment. The chips were oily, thick and broke in an unappetizing way with each bite. I got the crispy tacos carne asada, pollo and el pastor. All the meats tasted roughly the same and dang were they dry. I saw an IG video review on Tia's and it sounded like a cool spot. I went yesterday and ordered a $15 taco salad which included iceberg lettuce, beans, pico de gallo & I think some sort of cheese. I had to ask for dressing because there was no dressing. I ordered a $7 Modelo, which I had just bought a six pack of Modelo for $9.00! Tias is very expensive for the quality of food that you receive. The salad had absolutely no taste. The iceberg lettuce was warm and soggy. Even the cilantro dressing didn't spice up the salad. Not worth the $30 that I spent which included a $4.00 bag of thick greasy chips. Very disappointing. read more

I am giving Tia's Tacos 5 stars because I really want to like this place and it was only their first day so I want to give them the benefit of the doubt. If I were giving a rating based on today's experience I would give Tia's Taqueria a 3. I will update my review and rating after giving them some more time to settle and I visit again. The good: - Clean ingredients - Nice aesthetic in the restaurant - There are gluten free options - Indoor and outdoor seating - The owners seem involved and nice - They have multiple high chairs - Great parking - Excellent location close to Little Kickers and Kickin It The feedback: - Ordering system needs to be updated. It is not clear how you will receive your food (if your name will be called or if it will be brought to you). - The ordering space is a little tight. Not sure if this could be improved by moving the in-person ordering cashier location. - The prices are confusing and very high. Not sure if California prices are appropriate for a Denver neighborhood spot. We spent ~$80 for two adults and two kids. Unfortunately at these prices this won't be a frequented restaurant for our family. - Prices need to be included on the laminated menus, not just the wall menu. - Half of our food came out on plates and the other half in togo containers. I feel like $18 enchiladas shouldn't be served in a togo box. - Chips, salsa and guac is $12. The guac and "salsa" came in little 4oz (maybe 5.5oz?) plastic togo cups. This seems like a very small portion for the price. The chips came in a paper togo bag. The "salsa" is pico de gallo? We had to remind them about the chips and they ended up coming out after our meal was delivered. - I ordered a regular burrito and was charged $20. I think they rung up some sort of jumbo burrito because it was massive. I couldn't even eat half of it. I asked for steak and got chicken. - The kids burrito was very large. I thought it was too large for a kid to successfully handle. I think the kids burritos need to be made a little smaller. Maybe two smaller burritos instead of one big one? - We tried to order a bean and rice burrito for our son with a dairy allergy and got a bowl of beans and a side of corn tortillas. It was all fine and it worked but it was just confusing presentation for what was supposed to be a burrito. We are rooting for this place to do well. It sounds like they have had success in California. I think they will also have success in Colorado if they are open to making some changes. read more

This is a nice restaurant. Very friendly and attentive staff. Nice decor, good music and very clean. The inside seating area is a little small, but they have plenty of outdoor seating when it is nice out. My food came quickly and was very good. I had the supreme chicken burrito it came with delicious homemade chips and some tasty salsas. There could have been a little more chicken for the price, but I feel good after eating and not overly full and yucky. Overall, this is a really nice neighborhood taqueria that will be absolutely packed in the summertime. I definitely recommend and am grateful for small businesses like this. read more

There are some *ok* burritos in the area, but finally we discovered this place and it's absolutely the real deal. We also love that they do mini super burritos, so we can get burritos with all the fixings without having to buy a gargantuan amount of food. Very excited that Tia's Taqueria finally opened today! We live in the neighborhood, and there are few walking distance restaurant/food options--except pizza, so finally having a taco restaurant is exciting. Of course, being a taco connoisseur, you never know what you will get when a new Mexican restaurant opens; however, Tia's does not disappoint. Both owners, Bracken and Natalie (who are married), greeted everyone with a smile, checking in to make sure we ordered, received our order, and to give any feedback, while letting every customer know they just opened today. Everyone who work there was friendly and we loved the modern, clean look of the restaurant with bright a brownish orange paint and we love the outdoor patio dining with orange orange tables and chairs out front. Tia's offered taco's, burritos (even GF!), appetizers, soups, Huevos, salads, verious plate dishes, and a kids menu. My partner and I enjoyed there street tacos: Carnitas (pork)--great flavor with bigger pieces of meat--my partners favorite, Pollo Asado (grilled white meat chicken)--tasty, Carne Asada (grilled steak)--good, but not exceptional, and the Grilled Vegetables (zucchini, squash, carrots, spinach, bell pepper, onions)--so delicious, lots of flavor --Best veggie taco I've had so far. I've eaten here three times and I will say this is worse than Chipotle. The food is never hot and it is REALLY expensive for a taco joint. The first time I went, I gave them some slack as it was their opening week. Ordered different things every time, and they can't get it hot. I've been to Tia's Taqueria twice this week, and I'm officially hooked. I've lived in Denver for 30 years and have never had Mexican food quite like this. The first time I got the steak and chicken fajitas. They came out sizzling, perfectly seasoned, and the portion was huge. The second time I tried the carne asada super burrito, and it was just as amazing. I ended up saving half for lunch the next day. The tortillas deserve their own spotlight. Genuinely the best I've ever had in my life. I've thought about reaching out to find out where they come from. I actually can't stop thinking about them - ha! Everyone who works there is friendly and welcoming, and the whole place just has great energy (looks like others agree). A quick heads-up: the hot salsas are no joke, maybe start slow if you're not used to real heat. It's a little pricier than some spots, but worth every penny for the quality and the portions.
