Very cute locally owned restaurant featuring breakfast and lunch favorites right off of skyline. We ordered hot chocolate, mimosas, eggs Benedict, waffle with Nutella, French toast, biscuits and gravy and the Jimmysapitos. The mimosas were great, and had freshly squeezed orange juice. The hot chocolate was a bit watery, so they may need to check the machine. I thought all of the food was great, but the Jimmusapitos were my least favorite because all I could taste was the oil, so I was a little disappointed in that. The staff were all very friendly and the restaurant had a lovely assortment of fresh flowers displayed which I thought was nice. read more

My first visit and I am thinking, it will not be my last. Large sunny seating areas with large windows all around offering a nice view as you eat. The menu is varied for their breakfast and lunch items. They close at 2pm. Prices are reasonable and the freshness and quality of the food just lovely. I had a Denver omelet and chose a side of fruit and sourdough toast. It was delicious and cooked perfectly, this is always my favorite omelet so good to know they do it so well. They also offer crepes with Nutella, fresh fruit and cream, this is not on their menu but always available. I tasted and definitely delicious. Pleasant staff, attentive without being intrusive. I have added this 'new to me' place to my list of places to go again in the future. Highly recommend. read more

It's been a couple years since we first visited this cafe, it is located at the corner of Skyline and Cashill. There is ample parking and they only serve Breakfast and Lunch. We don't get to this part of town often but when we do, this is a must stop. The service has always been exceptional, we were quickly welcomed and seated. The server almost immediately got our drink order and as we knew what we wanted took our food order. The ambiance is an open floor plan with several 2 & 4 person tables, they also had a larger group today of 10-12, along with a group of 6. It was nearly full when we arrived during lunch and they delivered. We decided on breakfast, her the Denver omelette and I had the Mexican Omelette, both were extremely good, fresh produce and full of flavor. Skyline Cafe is just down the street from us and it's wonderful being able to pop in for a yummy brunch! The fresh squeezed orange juice is delicious. Our daughter loves the blueberry lemonade so much that she requested it for her birthday this year and I had a huge lemonade take out order! Decided to try this restaurant for brunch on a whim since we wanted something different than our usual rotation. We absolutely loved it! The staff was so kind and portions were huge! We had no idea what to expect since we are never usually on this side of town. We hadn't gone into this location since it was Hiroba Sushi. The interior has been remodeled and is so homey. The decor is inviting and modern. The menu has several options to choose from. We chose to go with French toast, chilaquiles, and pancakes. The chilaquiles plate was delicious! The chilaquiles were crisp, yet smothered with a tangy and spicy sauce. The potatoes were salty and crisp. The French toast with fruit were also a hit with the group! Everyone wanted a bite! Really nice little place but confusing front door situation -an easy fix with a sign!-and the driest, toughest chicken sandwich I have ever had. When the server put the plate down in front of me I thought they accidently put a fried egg on the sandwich but no, that flattened thing was chicken. I visited your restaurant for the first time yesterday with friends. What a pleasant surprise! Lovely decor and friendly staff and the breakfast omelette was delicious! Not overcooked and browned, but soft and light and fluffy. The roasted potatoes were tasty too. Our waitress accommodated all of our special requests as well. Went here on a non busy Friday morning with our family last week for the first time and although the remodel looks great since it was a sushi restaurant the restaurant has a strong Lysol type smell which is a bit of a turn off. The food was filling but pretty average and the coffee leaves a lot to be desired, it tasted stale and something that you'd get in a truck stop or 7-11 not a cafe in a higher end neighborhood. I had the mushroom omelette special and it was ok, and my family had the breakfast burrito and huevos which they said was very tasty. I hope they step up the coffee quality and options, as well as food flavors and unique dishes and I think they'd have more business. read more

Looking at the reviews, I was so excited to come try it out. Unfortunately, I didn't feel the same as many of the other reviews. The portion size to me was average. I ordered the vegetarian omelette (I forget the exact name) since I get it at many other brunch places and is my benchmark. The omelette came out with soggy vegetables and wasn't as big as I was expecting. The potatoes were good but that was probably the best part of the meal. Nothing terrible about the food but just not something that I would crave coming back to. Service was good, seating was plentiful, and food was just ok. what I refreshing breakfast place. In the space that was Hiroba for years, they have made it welcoming, warm, and clean. Beautiful bar wood feature walls and a Wolfpack sign to represent Nevada. The influence of Chicano/a culture is clear from the menu, the music, the staff. I felt like I was in a breakfast spot in Puerto Vallarta. I was warmed inside. The food was on point. My Benedict was good. The sauce had a nice lemon hint and was not broken or gravy-like. My wife loved her Chillaquilles. They were a perfect elevated-style Mexican basic dish. The chips were still crispy and the sauce was not overpowering. The dish had a great depth of flavors with Smokey chili verde. She said it was better than back home in Mexico City. On the way out we passed friends. We gave them the recommendation on the chillaquilles. He said it was the best he's ever had. The prices were fairly typical of local breakfast spots. Why isn't this place a solid 5 stars? A very unassuming breakfast and lunch spot with a beautiful view. Sunday morning at 9am and the restaurant was not busy but their Togo service was bustling. It was nice to go for breakfast and not wait for a table as we were sat immediately. The staff was very kind and attentive. Onto the food, we enjoyed the eggs Benedict with the side of fruit, the waffle with a side order of bacon and an egg for my little one. The hollandaise sauce was delicious, perfect poached egg and ripe fruit in the cup. Hit the spot. Waffle, simple and filling. The bacon was cooked perfectly not too crispy not too flappy...we liked the hickory smoke. Everything came out really fast and it was a great relaxing brunch hour. read more
