    Denver Omelette
    J H.

It's been a couple years since we first visited this cafe, it is located at the corner of Skyline and Cashill. There is ample parking and they only serve Breakfast and Lunch. We don't get to this part of town often but when we do, this is a must stop. The service has always been exceptional, we were quickly welcomed and seated. The server almost immediately got our drink order and as we knew what we wanted took our food order. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is an open floor plan with several 2 & 4 person tables, they also had a larger group today of 10-12, along with a group of 6.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was nearly full when we arrived during lunch and they delivered.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We decided on breakfast, her the Denver omelette and I had the Mexican Omelette, both were extremely good, fresh produce and full of flavor. I just wish they were closer has this would become a regular for us. I highly recommend you try them out.

This place is a gem! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The cafe was spotless and had a warm, welcoming atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. The food was delicious, with good sized portions. I love that they had a wide variety of both American and Latino breakfast options! I got the Mexican Omelette, it was cooked perfectly and was full of flavor. This is definitely a spot I'll be coming back to and recommending to friends!

Service: 5/5 - The staff at Skyline Cafe was exceptional, they were super attentive and friendly. Ambiance: 3.8/5 - The cafe has a typical feel with ample seating. Our table was at close proximity to the kitchen and bathroom and we kept getting a constant whiff of sewer. Not a very pleasant smell when you are eating Food: 3/5 - While the freshly squeezed orange juice was delightful, our main dishes left something to be desired. My chilaquiles lacked flavor in the sauce, though the eggs were cooked perfectly. My husband's chicken fried steak suffered from bland gravy and seasoning, making it a disappointing choice. Overall, Skyline Cafe offers great service and a comfortable atmosphere, but improvements in food quality could elevate the experience.

Came in for breakfast and received great service. They have a lot of options to choose from and lots of seating inside. Highly recommend the Jimmysapitos!! So fluffy and sweet! Anyways, our breakfast was good, nothing extraordinary. It was a good and simple breakfast.

Decided to try this restaurant for brunch on a whim since we wanted something different than our usual rotation. We absolutely loved it! The staff was so kind and portions were huge! We had no idea what to expect since we are never usually on this side of town. We hadn't gone into this location since it was Hiroba Sushi. The interior has been remodeled and is so homey. The decor is inviting and modern. The menu has several options to choose from. We chose to go with French toast, chilaquiles, and pancakes. The chilaquiles plate was delicious! The chilaquiles were crisp, yet smothered with a tangy and spicy sauce. The potatoes were salty and crisp. The French toast with fruit were also a hit with the group! Everyone wanted a bite! Definitely worth checking out! We will be back!

Brunch with friends :) Got the jalapeño burger. Burger was juicy!!! And fries were battered --- my favorite!!!! Our coffee cups and water glasses --- didn't experience any emptiness at all! Servers were paying attention. Food came quickly. Perfect brunch atmosphere! Place was open and spacious, didn't feel crowded at all. Plenty of windows so you could feel and see the Reno sunshine :) Parking was plentiful. Definitely 2 thumbs up!

chilaquiles (plate is massive!) spicy for my tastes but the sauce used was incredibly flavorful

Can't believe I've never reviewed the incredible Perenn at Rancharrah…read more Perenn is known for being an upscale and expensive boutique bakery, but they are worth it and truly the best. I love all of the pastries at Perenn, but the chocolate bouchons are truly exceptional, and if you want to splurge, the grab-and-go freezer is great, too. My wife is also a huge fan of their matcha. Specifically, they do a coconut cloud matcha, which is a base of lightly sweetened coconut water topped with a matcha foam. It's perfectly sweet and incredibly refreshing on a warm day. The ambiance here is perfectly upscale and accessible. The decor is very chic, and their outdoor patio space is very nice. The service is always great, and though there can be a huge line, it often moves quickly. My only wish for Perenn would be that I could visit more often! While they have expanded, more locations and lower pricing could make them a truly exceptional stand-out bakery with accessibility for all.

As a longtime Reno customer I've watched them grow from a single location into a multi-state restaurant group with six locations across Nevada and Tennessee -- and that growth is well deserved. That said I do want to share one honest observation. On top of premium pricing, which I'm happy to pay for quality, Perenn also charges subscribers for their Substack newsletter. For an independent bakery scraping by, that makes complete sense. For a thriving six-location restaurant group with real momentum and expansion capital, it feels like a bridge too far. The brand story and the people behind it are genuinely compelling, that content should be how you invite customers deeper into your world, not an additional revenue line. The food earns five stars. The Substack paywall earns a raised eyebrow. Share your story freely, you've clearly earned the audience.

My girlfriend and I had an amazing experience here from begin to end. The staff was kind and attentive, we had a waitress who sat us down and got us coffee and water, and after that it was uphill from there. We had three other servers stop to ask if we needed anything or wanted to give our order, and once we made up our mind the waiter who helped us did a fantastic job. No pen or notepad, he remembered our order with full detail and not one mess up. As we finished out appetizer, sides, and meal he continued to come by and take our plates, refill our water and my coffee. He was on point. By the end of the meal I paid the bill and gave him a cash tip and thanked him. He seemed happy and thanked us for stopping in and conversing with him. Highly recommend this place to anyone, oh, and the food was on point! Sweet, savory, delicious, and it made me wish there was a place like this back home!

Friday night called for a special dinner, so I made a reservation for two at 5:30 at Dolce Caffè…read more We were seated by the front window, which is my favorite spot. I love watching the people and cars go by in Midtown while enjoying a great meal. We started with drinks. I ordered the Limoncello Spritz, and wow--it was absolutely out of this world! My husband ordered the Chardonnay, and owner Claudio explained that it's made in the traditional Italian style. Instead of being buttery like many California Chardonnays, it's slightly sweeter and very smooth. After trying my cocktail, my husband decided to order a Limoncello Spritz too, and he ended up enjoying it even more than the wine. We skipped the appetizers and salads and went straight to the main event. I ordered the mushroom ravioli, which I had been dreaming about all day. It was light, delicate, and packed with incredible flavor. My husband, who is from New Zealand, chose the lamb chops. They were cooked to perfection, so tender you could cut them with a butter knife. He paired them with the asparagus risotto, which was delicious but a little heavy alongside the lamb. We ended up taking some home, and next time I'd recommend pairing the lamb with a salad instead. To finish, we shared the large ricotta cannoli topped with chocolate chips. It was heavenly, light, creamy, and it practically melted in our mouths. Honestly, every dessert we've had here has been fantastic. Dolce Caffè continues to impress with its authentic Italian flavors, warm hospitality, and wonderful atmosphere. We can't wait for our next visit!
