We had a reservation and they make you wait behind people with no reservation... The service inside is non existent. Order bottles of wine but can't get glasses. Order drinks and wait 40 minutes after asking 3 different people for it. They are nice but that only goes so far. Don't make plans for this place. Just stop by for 20 minutes. Without a doubt this has to be the most fun venue in all of New York. It is NYC's hottest spot. It is a hidden speakeasy behind a wall of potato chips. One bag of chips gives you access to he bar and lounge. It is the only place in all of New York that has a vending machine for champagne. Guests can dance in a Giant Champagne Coupe. They can dance on the bar and on the booths. There are 3 levels to this amazing. place. And there's more, Champagne Problems has an excellent Chinese food menu. I've never had a better time. One night we had a private party and we drank 12 bottles of champagne. I was surprised there was no hangover the next day. read more

I love cocktail bars and I love Taylor Swift. The best part about this bar is its atmosphere. Very Gatsby. I don't care that Taylor is just a side note: name of the bar + a TV on mute playing her music videos. The atmosphere is suchhh a nice vibe (not swift oriented but very IG) BUT the drinks are actually disgusting. I almost gagged when I tried their gin drink. Please update your drink list or hire better bartenders. Also, maybe mix the TS association because y'all are definitely just using her name to draw ppl in when this isn't a swiftie geared spot or add more swiftie references! Passed by this place a few times and wanted to check it out. I went right after it opened. The person at the entrance was very nice and friendly. When I went inside I bought something just as a way to contribute for seeing the inside. I bought the M&M/Skittles-filled mini-champagne bottle (it only comes with M&Ms, no skittles) since it was one of the cheaper things (wasn't gonna get a $20+ cocktail). The pdf menu said $6-something, and when the bartender charged me, I, out of habit, tapped my card and then saw the price was around $8 on the screen when it asked for the tip. I asked about the discrepancy, and the bartender said he needed to reach out to the manager. I waited around for like 20 minutes while he tried and wasn't able to reach the manager just to clarify the price difference of $1.50 or so. It was ridiculous, he should have automatically just gone with what was on the menu if the price is displayed there. Eventually he just said "nah, just get out of here", like not to worry about it, we won't charge you. I saw the charge on my credit card as pending, and after a few days, it confirmed that it was charged. So, I got overcharged for an item, and it was awkward and uncomfortable just waiting around. I did get to see the place, which was niche and eccentric, but the experience soured it. read more

We went there for my friend's birthday, no host seated us when we got there, we had to get a table for ourselves, the waiters were very incompetent because they did not provide utensils or napkins, we practically had to beg for one set of utensils when the waiter brought it the utensils were dirty and the napkin was wet and he practically slammed it on the table because he seemed pissed we asked for said utensils. food order was missing and half of my food which was a boa bun order that comes with two, was not there but the imprint of the missing bun was in the plate which indicated that there was a second bun there and someone took it off. Had to ask for the manager because they take a credit card at a table as if we had a tab which was very strange we were not sitting at the bar, the bill was exceptionally high so I asked for a manager considering the service and the food was terrible we did not have drinks. The concept of the place is OK but it is overshadowed by bad food horrible service and exorbitant prices for mediocre experience. Her resolution was a round of shots so that our bill would remain the same or removing two food items obviously we chose removing food items. I would not suggest this place to anyone unless you just want to go and drink and have atmosphere because the place itself was very loud Beware. read more

What a gem on the Bowery! We had the best time here on Friday night. Alfonso at the front brought the energy - a great way to begin the Champagne Problems experience! Iran, our server was exceptional and so funny. We met the manager, Annie, as well who took great care of us. Let me start by saying that the aesthetic was beautiful. The drinks were pricey but 10/10, they were definitely worth the money. However, there was not a lot of food options on the menu and the portions were small. The lo mien was very good. I was there with a large group for a friend's birthday. The servers were really nice but forgot to bring out my friend's cake. I booked a photographer and was told that he was not allowed in with his camera. They mentioned that flash photography is prohibited and posted on their site. The employee at the front door was also really nice and reached out to the manager. I didn't understand why a manager was not on site on the weekend, which is the usually busiest time. The photographer asked if he could bring his camera in but leave the light/flash at the front, they still wouldn't allow it in. I found it very contradicting that we were allowed to bring in our cell phones, which had flash, but he was not allowed in with his camera even after offering to leave the light. The main reason people dine at the restaurant is because of the decor, so it was very disappointing to not be able to take photos with flash being that the lighting in the restaurant was dim. read more

This bar is marketed as a Taylor Swift themed bar but it barely has any Taylor references. We were soooo confused about everything in this bar. Why are there so many chips and giraffes? We asked the waitstaff about the reasoning behind the giraffe references and got very unclear answers. On top of that, the drinks were awful and overpriced. The bar-staff couldn't make standard cocktails and didn't know what elderflower liqueur was. The drinks on the menu were the weirdest, grossest concoctions. We couldn't wait to leave as soon as we got here. Do NOT come here if you are looking for good drinks and Taylor Swift references!!! Oh also FYI, it says they open at 4pm, but only the front "grocery store" opens at 4pm -- the actual bar opens at 5pm. read more

A gimmick more than a bar. Our table waited an entire hour for drinks - staff would not check on our order or cancel claiming they were too busy. Hostile, slow, and drinks were ultimately extremely underwhelming. If looking for a cocktail bar, you can skip this one. read more

this place is very unique and has great, albeit expensive, drinks but rely too heavily on aesthetics to carry the experience. service needs A LOT of work. our waiter was attentive for about 15 minutes before focusing completely on a different party of about 10 people. I was in a party of 6 and assumed that juggling 2 large parties must've been difficult and that's why he wasn't available. But he ended up dancing on the floor with the other party since they were a bachelorette. we tried to get his attention to order more but he would look at us and keep walking. when we finally we able to order drinks, we waited for over 30 minutes and decided to cut our losses and asked for the check instead. the only other table near us was also seated for 45 minutes with no drinks or apps brought out. we had to ask someone else who worked there for the check because our waiter was still nowhere to be found. she told us there was an issue with the ticket printer in the bar and that caused the delay, but why couldn't our waiter let us know that? and why did the entire bachelorette party have several rounds of drinks in the time that we were waiting? our waiter saw us leaving and finally said "oh you guys are closing already?" like he hadn't deserted us to pay all his attention on a different party. tip was also included, which isn't an issue but the service did not deserve a $50 tip considering what we went through. read more
