Maybe my new favorite bar? This place is so cute. They had a Broadway program-style book for their menu that was so impeccably designed. They have both food and drinks. Every single thing on the food menu sounded great. We tried four cocktails from the menu and they were all so good. It has a good range of seating, from bar to couch to table. And their drinks are so fun and decorative! Took home two dinosaurs as souvenirs. I will be back!!

So I've been to the holiday cocktail lounge before for drinks but they've recently extended their service to breakfast with WiFi and someplace cozy to work and I support that! As a bar that can be seen as divey, I argue that it's more vintage and 1960's living room and the food really reflects that. Everything I tried was delicious and don't sleep on the chicken noodle soup, it takes 2 days to prepare. Not pictured also was a chocolate focaccia which you don't know you need in your life. The red velvet latte is off menu but order it, complete with beet root and cocoa. The BEC is solid and the deviled eggs are tasty. Eloise and Drew are super welcoming and Barbara runs a beautiful ship. Can't wait to visit when I'm in the area again.

What a fun hidden gem! From the outside, Holiday Cocktail Lounge is super easy to miss. We almost missed going in because we thought it was closed, but upon stepping inside the atmosphere is relaxed and quaint. The cocktails are SO FUN, with ingredients like Baja Blast and cute toy garnishes. The bartenders are also super chill and we're chatting with us whenever we ordered drinks. Also love that there is a phone booth and some history about the bar in the menu.

Three stars for the overall experience. This does not apply to the bartenders. This is one of the oldest bars in the east village. I came here on the recommendation of a older acquaintance who came of age in the area and experiences the real punk/new wave era. I was expecting the Holiday Cocktail lounge to have that vibe, however it was super loud, super crowded. Even though I was seated at the last barstool, tucked into a corner, people were still all up in my space and inadvertently touching me. They have some bar food items, which all seemed underwhelming (pretzels, wings, corn dogs, grilled cheese). I opted for cocktails only. I had the night bloom, made with pineapple, hibiscus, mezcal, and aloe. I also had the village idiot, also mezcal and pineapple, with spicy pepper flavors, basil, and rum. I expected these drinks to be tasty and refreshing. But they were just ok. I can't explain it, but they just didn't tickle my fancy and seemed poorly executed. The bartenders are hardworking people who don't have time to tolerate people who are slow at deciding their order. They are the typical no nonsense New Yorkers. They are fast moving multitaskers who do the best they can being just a couple guys serving a crowded room full of people. That's why I don't hold it against them that I sat with an empty glass, waiting for someone to take my second drink order and to bring the check for over half an hour. It was a miserable experience, but it wasn't their fault. I'll stick with Death & Co and Goodnight Sonny.

Life long New Yorker that has never been here before until today. What an iconic and cool establishment. Bartender was from Montana. Super cool guy. Pointed me in the direction of the "Unsavory Character" off the menu. Delicious drink. Amazing ambience. Right across street from William Barnacle Tavern where I spent many a time drinking absinthe before the attached theatre was recently foreclosed. Bartender informed me that there is a Prohibition tunnel that connects the establishments. Super interesting. Great vibes.

Alex the bartender was awesome! Alex shared so much insider knowledge bar info with us--Alex is a skilled drink slinger, a fantastic conversationalist, and an excellent historian! Did you know this is one of the last remaining punk bars in the east village? It's also one of the oldest having been around since the 1950s. They have their original phone booth in the corner and kept the layout of the bar intact, only slightly shifting the dimensions of the main room. The name comes from the electrical situation back then where holiday lights were used to light the place because the bar was having trouble with more traditional lighting technology back then. I forget the exact details... I was half listening because my attention was hyper focused on the amazing drinks! The bar is a real delight with a cult-like fan following. The drinks are a work of art in both flavor profiles, ingredients, craft, and decoration! Many drinks come with a kitchy compliment like a dinosaur, barrel o' monkey, glow stick, or finger skateboard! The food menu is creative and diverse but tough for people with multiple food allergies. I had trouble finding vegetarian and gluten free and dairy free. Definitely ate my food allergies last night and do not (yet) regret that poor life choice!

Place: We were walking around trying to find a nice place to sit down and talk. We went to a few lounges and they were packed where people had to stand and talk. We felt uneasy so we came across this Holiday Lounge. We were worried that we would have to wait a bit but after showing our IDs we were seated right away. We found out that this place is very spacious. Loving the vibe as it was christmas themed. Service: The service was great and we got so many recommendations. I am very light weight drinker and these drinks were V strong. So I had to have my friend drink the rest haha. Food/price $: I recommend trying the holiday drinks and it is really cute because they bring it with little dinosaurs or soldiers on top of the drinks. Audience: 21+ Friends [X] Couples [X] Recommend/tips? I plan to come again and hope to try a different drink.

A few friends and I got a post dinner drink at Holiday Cocktail Lounge last Friday. From the outside Holiday Cocktail Lounge doesn't look like much but inside is full of good vibes. The drinks were fantastic and the decorations were super fun. I liked that the bar felt low key/ almost divey but the drinks were full of energy. Mine came with a mini skateboard in it, while my friends drinks came with toy dinosaurs, glow sticks, and more. Our waitress was awesome! I highly recommend stopping by!

Only cool thing was the dinos.

Do NOT get the pina colada for 2 , it's not even enough for 1 , your paying 45 dollars for ice basically.

What a fun bar! 8 of us popped in here on a Saturday for a few cocktails and fell in love with this quirky bar. I love the seating and open feeling space, they had a large variety of cocktails to choose and they each came decorated- I love the attention to detail! This is another one of those places that's totally unassuming from the outside but is so fun once you enter. We had table service and our server was awesome; even with juggling a bunch of tables at once! A rockstar! This bar has PERSONALITY and I absolutely love it. It's also a great blend of local flavor. I cannot wait to come back and have some more holiday cocktail fun! 5/5

Drinks were great. The best "bar food"... the wagyu corn dogs, and fried chips were tasty. Perfect bar room snacks! Love the bartender. Thanks Alex! FYI: Came here just as they opened after our group had brunch, so I'm not sure how the crowd is during the evening.

Ambiance: This place has a nice ambiance, definitely very "New York" -- dark (you can't see how dirty the floor is) and loud music (maybe too loud). We sat upstairs (we had a reservation) and of all the people on the top there was a party of 4 (us), a party of 8 (all dudes celebrating something) and the rest of the tables were on a DATE - which I thought was funny. Service: We were served by Ann-Marie who was so delightful. She was kind, super nice, and took the time to speak to us (which is basically how we figured out she wasn't a native New York City person). She gave us good food suggestions and we were very happy with our selection. Food: Here is what we ordered * Steak Frites: My two boys got the steak frites and I have to say the steak was awesome! I had a bite of each of theirs and they each ordered it differently (one Medium Rare/Medium and one Medium) and they both were prepared PERFECTLY. The fries were overflowing. * Caeser Salad with Salmon: My wife got the salad with Salmon (they only have a few salad options) and she enjoyed it. * Prawn and Crab Risotto: I got this and I have to say it was VERY bland. I wouldn't get this if you are looking for taste. I had to put salt and pepper on it to make it have any semblance of taste. Value/Price: I would say this is not over priced but it is not cheap either...bill is attached. I would recommend it to folks who are looking for a good place to either go out on a date or a family type meal.

Service was good. We had the fried chicken Benedict and the crab cake Benedict. I was a bit confused when I saw that each Benedict dish only had one poached egg - shouldn't it always be two? I guess that's shrinkflation (plus inflation) for you. That bent said, the crab cake was actually really big and filling. The side of potatoes were really delicious. Would I come back for brunch again? Very unlikely. But, it does seem like a pretty "safe choice" if you need a last minute reservation for a group.

Given the hell theming for the bar, the bathroom is a 180 and while using the Lou, you can listen to the bible being recited. Theres also a spooky surprise if you press the button in the bathroom. Speaking of the bathroom, it is at the bottom of some decently narrow stairs. So, try and stay sober enough for stairs or you may fall. Go to this bar. You will have fun.

The bi-level bar and lounge was dark, swanky, and seductive. It would make an excellent spot for dates or groups of friends, like mine. We started off sitting at the bar, as there were no large tables available upon our arrival. However, after about 15 minutes, the host approached to tell us that he could actually seat us. I picked up my glass, which was wet with condensation, and it slipped out of my hands. I was able to collect it with only a minor spill, but the host insisted that the bar staff make me a new cocktail in case the glass had chipped at all. It was a considerate gesture that I greatly appreciated. Plus, since I had already taken a few sips, I was thrilled to get those back in a new glass! In terms of my cocktail of choice, I had opted for the Hot Tijuana Tease, a fiery blend of mezcal, blanco tequila, chile poblano liqueur, and lime juice. So, it was essentially a spicy margarita, and it was excellent. There were clean, crisp notes of peppery heat balanced with layers of robust smoke. My only complaint about the lounge was that the bathrooms were beyond tiny. There were two unisex stalls in a very tight alcove that also included a cramped sink counter. It was awkward and uncomfortable to share that space with another patron. Aside from that, the Hide Rooftop was a beautiful place with a friendly staff and interesting drinks.
