    Benny flight!
    Tiffany S.

Came here for the benny (Eggs Benedict) flight, but we had a really underwhelming experience for a place with such good reviews! During our breakfast/brunch experience, we found out that they had a whole breakfast buffet (with an omelet station). No idea about the price point, but it looked pretty fresh and it was about 50/50 people ordering from the menu vs. buffet. Service was a bit slow but we weren't in a rush. It was so slow that our host took our drink orders - curious but appreciate her! The Watertable Bloody Mary was disappointing. The flavors just weren't there as it tasted watery. Also, I know a collins glass is traditional - but in 2026, we like our bloody marys in pint glasses with a few more toppings please. The Benedict flight was great - it came with the: Crab & Avocado (lump crab meat, crushed avocado, lime-cilantro hollandaise, micro cilantro, cracked pink peppercorns) Short Rib (Short Rib Hash, potatoes, carrots, red pearl onions, peppers, haricot vert, red pepper parsley hollandaise) SoCa (cornbread waffle, fried chicken, maple slaw, poached eggs, jalapeño bacon hollandaise) First, the poach on all the eggs was perfect and spot-on. Flavor-wise, Crab & Avocado was the best. I think this may be their top seller too as they got it down a science - the ratios, the crisp edge of the english muffin but soft interior. The Soca was interesting - more hushpuppy like to me. The short rib was very bland. We were staying at the hotel, otherwise I would not make a trip out here for breakfast/brunch. The evening might be a whole different vibe though as there's live music!

    8oz Chilean Seabass

Stayed at the Hyatt Regency for a couple of nights and decided to have dinner at Watertable. Our experience here was amazing! To start off we ordered the creamer potato cakes and the summertime sour cocktail which I was really impressed with. The potato cakes were made really well with the right amount of crisp and the truffle sauce it came with was delicious. I got the Chilean seabass with cauliflower while my wife got the prime hangar steak. I enjoyed my seabass, which I took the servers recommendation in going with the butter sauce sautéed. The sauce went really well with the seabass, it melted in your mouth and was a real highlight. Would recommend the cauliflower side as well! Service was very friendly and accommodating although our main dishes did take some time to come out. It was well worth the wait though and I highly recommend dining here if you're looking for an upscale experience in Huntington Beach!

    Grilled Baby Lamb Chops*

Bit sad writing this review because I've loved Watertable for years. I've been so many times and it's always been solid. This was my first visit back after a long break, and it was shockingly disappointing. Every dish was just...off. The charred Baja prawns were overcooked to the point of being chewy. Weirdly, whatever was underneath them was better than the shrimp themselves. The whipped ricotta with marinated mushrooms wasn't whipped at all. The mushrooms were cold and the whole dish felt disjointed and strange. The grilled baby lamb chops were overcooked and wasn't even grilled. The seared scallops came loaded with a bunch of random stuff that didn't work together. It felt like ingredients thrown on a plate without a clear direction, and it tasted just as confusing. I was excited about the cauliflower rice paella because I love both cauliflower and paella but somehow it leaned sweet. Sweet. That's not what I'm looking for in paella. The only bright spot was the oyster. Fresh and simple. Exactly what it needed to be. Ramone was fantastic: attentive, friendly, and professional. Service wasn't the issue at all. But the food this time missed the mark across the board which is hard to say because this place used to be a favorite. I really hope this was just an off night. Ugh. Overall, expensive and disappointing.

We came here for the weekend. Overall a very nice resort with this nice restaurant inside. The wait was about 20-30 minutes. You have the option of sitting inside or outside (with ocean view.) Our server was amazing, thank you Ricardo! He was attentive and very accommodating. He checked on us multiple times even though he was noticeably busy with many other tables. He walked around with a smile and was kind with his words. They have a buffet and individual option menu items. I appreciated that they gave us the option to order menu items since not all of us wanted to commit to buffet. The food options were great with a little bit of everything from savory to sweets, to simple scrambled eggs and omelet options. The restaurant inside is clean and organized. I would recommend this place if you are looking for a sit down breakfast spot. It is very conveniently located inside Huntington Hyatt Regency hotel.

Came here for breakfast about 20 minutes before it closed. Ordered the classic quiche Lorraine, which was absolutely and positively delicious. The Swiss cheese really came through. It was light and fluffy. The crusted was perfect. The side salad had arugula, avocado, cherry tomato and was light. I also got the side of fresh fruit, which was at the appropriate amount and all the berries were at the right ripeness. For my drink I got a half orange half grapefruit mixed and both juices were fresh. Was the best breakfast of the trip.

Conveniently located inside the Hyatt Huntington Beach, Water Table is a winner! Good menu, extensive wine list, and prime spot overlooking the pier. Indoor and outdoor patio seating - we loved it. Server was attentive and friendly. Plus, kids menu's a hit with the little ones (my 3.5 and 7-year-old loved the options!). Great experience overall.

We were staying at the Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach as Globalists and had breakfast included in our stay. Our complimentary value was $32 per person for four people and it was more than enough to satiate our appetites for breakfast. For coffee, we had the: - Lavendar Honey Latte: Really tasty lavender notes. A bit too sweet, but to be expected. I regret not trying Pete's Cup Cappuccino, but will next time! For the benedicts, we had the: - Short Rib Hash: Delicious morsels of short rib that had a fantastic seasoning. They were super tender. - SoCa: The fried chicken had a perfect crunch and the cornbread waffle was super tasty, albeit a little filling. For the kids: - Smores French Toast: Super sweet and the kids loved it but it was messy! - Brûléed Oatmeal: Our son loves oatmeal and demanded to have it. Very pretty oatmeal dish, but way too sweet for our liking. It was fun to eat, though! We decided to try some more stuff for later since we were only staying one night: - Brioche French Toast: It had matcha butter cream this time which was super decadent. - Zesty Lemon-Blueberry Pancakes: The honeycomb butter was a cool addition that piqued our kids interest. All in all a solid breakfast with inventive dishes. While everything was a bit too sweet for our tastes, we still enjoyed it! Also, props to our server for dealing with our large order!

Food, Service & Ambiance was really good! Great choices for children. Breakfast & Lunch. They have a buffet option in the AM too. We did not do that.

I came to this restaurant over six times over the span of five days for breakfast and dinner. I would say the food here is pretty decent, but the service is definitely a hit or miss. It takes a long time to get seated no matter what time you visit and Once you are seated at the service is very slow. I would not recommend coming here unless you have an extra 30 minutes to an hour on top of your dining time. This is one of the only dining options at the hotel and is just decent. The steak for dinner is good and breakfast the salmon bowl or variety Benedict choices are good.

    The works...

Wonderful, fantastic brunch. We've gone two days in a row! The salmon is truly amazing. Also, the roasted salted almonds. Great bagels. Fresh blueberries, and fruit good egg dishes. Give it a try. It's worth it!

Joanna is an excellent services who checked on us multiple times, was kind, professional and knowledgeable about the menu. The food is very good. Plated nicely and yummy! Breakfast - fingerling potatoes, bacon, scrambled eggs, pancake (side order). The potatoes are flavorful with grilled onions, excellent quality bacon and ham.

I do want to start by saying the staff was accommodating. When I made my reservation online, it only allowed me to book for six or eight guests (I can't remember which), but I had a party of 10. They were able to accommodate us and update the reservation so our full group could celebrate together, which I really appreciated. When I made the reservation, the only available time slot online was 8:45 PM. The earlier time slots were to early for the rest of my guest , so we booked what was offered. We didn't think that would leave us with such a short amount of time before closing at 10:00 PM. We also didn't realize until we got there that they don't serve full meals just appetizers. To be fair, I take some responsibility for that. I should have looked at the menu ahead of time, watched a few video reviews, and done a little more research before booking. That's on me. We still made the best of it. The girls were each able to enjoy a drink, the guys squeezed in two drinks each, and we ordered about three appetizers for the girls and three for the guys. Shortly after that, we were told it was last call for both drinks and appetizers because the kitchen and bar were closing. It felt like the evening ended almost as soon as it began. I do wish they had either not offered such a late reservation or at least let us know when booking that we'd have very limited time to order and enjoy the experience before everything shut down. If you're planning a birthday celebration or any gathering where you want to enjoy food, drinks, and time with your group, I would recommend booking an earlier reservation if possible or choosing another venue if only the late reservation is available. Hopefully, my experience helps someone else avoid making the same mistake.

He order the regular ribeye. The wait specifically asked if he wanted the bone-in or regular. He again said regular and added " no bone." He also stated he like it rare but not raw since his last few tries at other places were way undercooked. The steak came bone-in. We pointed this out and the waiter joked, and asked for the regular. He stated you get a significantly bigger steak now for the same price. That's 10 ozs for free. He cut in and the edges were cook rare, but the middle and especially along the bone was cold/raw. The offered to re-cook it, but everyone knows that just dries it out. He ate the edges and took the rest home to re-cook as leftovers. When the bill came, the waiter charged us for the bone-in! Turns out on Sundays, it is their relaxed day where you are allowed to keep your phone, and they have the side door out onto PCH open. I loved this, but also hated it if I am being honest. PCH is so loud with motorcycles non stop, and it made the room very light. It didnt really feel like a speakeasy as you could enter right off the street. We entered through the hostess stand at HQ Gastropub. I had asked one of the hostesses what we needed to do and she stated she just arrived for work and I would have to ask another hostess when they came up to the stand. Bit weird, not the friendliest welcome, but the staff inside Graceland made up for that. The hostess lets them know we are there and someone comes out to take us back to the red door in the middle of the restaurant down a hall of colored barrels. We've been here a few times before and always thought it was decent. So, we made the last minute reservation online and got here 15 minutes early. When we arrived, there was a short line, but per the reservation instructions, one of my friends went in to check in while we waited outside. Friend: Hi, I'm checking in for a reservation. Bartender: What time is your reservation. Friend: 10 Bartender: What time is it now? Friend: 9:45 Bartender: Then I'll see you at 10pm. Friend came back annoyed and explained what happened. The bartender didn't say it in a joking way, but with attitude and annoyance. Most staff would respond "Thank you for checking in, we will let you know when your table is available." We weren't going to let this ruin our night, so we waited and were seated by the hostess. The bar itself is dimly lit and very tight. The music was loud enough that we had to almost yell to hear each other. The waiter came by soon after and was extremely friendly. We said we'd been here a few times before, but it's been a while. He refreshes our memory by saying they specialize making variations of classics. They want customers to focus on the flavors and that's why the menu doesn't list the spirit in their drinks. Also, they only make drinks on the menu because their drinks are prebatched/premade. We ask for recommendations which he was happy to give. We each order a drink and a snack for the table. As we're talking (very loudly so we can hear each other), we lose track of time before we realize that it's been 20 minutes and we haven't gotten our drinks yet. For something that's prebatched, it shouldn't take long. Before we can flag down the waiter, he comes by and apologizes that they lost our order and had to put it back in. We appreciate the honesty and say it's no problem. 5 minutes later, our drinks and food arrives. He again apologizes for the wait and has a second order of our food that he's including for free. Honestly we were ok with just the apology, but extra food too? Hell yea. Sounds like it was turning around. The drinks were okay. Not amazing, but definitely above average 3.8 / 5. The snack, bread and butter, were surprisingly good. 4.5 / 5 When we asked for the check, the waiter brought the credit card reader and told us we can swipe our card any time and left it on our table. We look at the bill and realize the waiter not only gave us the 2nd snack for free, but comp'd 2 of the drinks also. We all agree this waiter is GREAT. So why the 2 stars? Well first let me say, I would leave it at 1 star, but the waiter definitely earned them another. We wanted to pay cash, so we waited for him to come back. Instead, the original rude bartender comes by and realizes we haven't paid yet. We ask if we can pay with cash. He explains that they don't accept cash. Friend: Are you sure? *Proceeds to try to insert cash into the chip reader slot* Bartender: You're pretty stupid, aren't you? Friend: Maybe if I swipe it instead *Doubles down and proceeds to swipe the cash through the magnetic strip reader* Bartender: Wow, you really are stupid. My friend is a 100% a goofball and having fun with the bartender. It was OBVIOUS that he was joking. Was it funny? A little. Was it stupid? 100%. But for the bartender or ANY customer service staff to call a paying customer "stupid", that's simply unacceptable. We're all pretty pissed at this point and simply swipe the card and the bartender leaves. As I said earlier, we've come here a few times. We don't live especially close, but when we're in the area, we would always consider coming here. Now, there's no chance. For any business, even if your drinks and food are great, customer service can easily DESTROY your experience and that's exactly what the bartender did. Note to the male bartender with no hair: You really shouldn't be interacting with customers. You were rude from the start and have no sense of humor. Could you be having a bad day? Sure, but that's not an excuse to be rude to customers. I know management saw my original post because it was removed, probably because I referred to the bartender by his hairstyle (or lack thereof) multiple times. If they rather remove my post than deal with their bartender, that's another sign to avoid this place.

Another ordered the bone-in rib eye medium and it also came out well. That same person ordered a hot fudge Sunday for dessert and they brought the Sunday without hot fudge. By the time we were able to make eye contact with our waiter, it had completely melted. The waiter joked about forgetting the hot fudge and rather than bring a new Sundae, he just brought the fudge. I guess we were just supposed to make a milkshake with it? Doesn't only two issues. We really had the Sunday thing kind of caught me off hard. That's just Customer Service 101. Apologize and make it right. And he charged us for it, even though we didn't eat it because we're not eating melted ice cream with a side of fudge. Everyone else had a wonderful meal. My husband and I had the ribeye and lobster tail and it was a beautiful medium rare. Macaroni and cheese was delicious. Broccolini was perfectly cooked, the wedge salad comes chopped and tossed (I love that) I would've given it five stars except for those three little items. And steak has to be cooked right. You can't send it back because that's just tacky so they were a little bummed out that they didn't get it the way they originally ordered it.

We came when happy hour was going on (2-5 pm M-F), and it seemed they had a good selection for that alone. Otherwise, their regular menu was pretty extensive and they had so many unique options. We had dinner to go to so unfortunately we couldn't order too much. I would have loved to order more food! We ended up ordering the following: - Chili crunch burrata: This is chef's kiss. I love burrata in general and it was so unique to have chili crisp mixed with the burrata. The pickled shallot provided a nice balance. I loved the Chinese donut to eat with the burrata. It was hot and fresh, and contrasted very nicely with the burrata. I really wished they gave a bit more Chinese donut so that the ratio of cheese to dip was better. We really had to eat a LOT of cheese to go with the Chinese donut we had left. The hostess said this was also one of her favorite dishes. - Chicken cartilage with Mala BBQ spice: This was surprisingly meatier than I thought (thought there would be more cartilage). It was deep fried and the mala dip was spicy, as promised! - Stir fried ong choy with garlic (not part of happy hour): This was solid, and they gave a generous amount of ong choy. Service was very friendly at the front and when they served our food. The restaurant is beautiful, and feels upscale. It is nice enough for entertaining guests and for dates. I would totally come back to try their other dishes.

Spicy wontons were sweeter than spicy, which did not meet my DTF dupe expectations, but the cucumbers were great. Everything else was cool but not spectacular. I love the happy hour menu at Vox, and the happy hour menu here looks promising. I'd definitely come back for the happy hour specifically because I feel that the dinner prices here are too much for their portion sizes.
