After shopping with two other Alfa dealers, I found champion. I called and spoke to Jaime paez he was SUPER nice the only dealer that had not one but 3 of the cars i wanted. For two days he worked on my deal and not only did he knock down the price once but 3 times!!!!!!!!!!!! Sales people who care about you and know your budget is a rare. They didn't tell me how much the car inspection fee was and just charged me a couple hundred dollars. Even if you have a factory warranty on your car, you have to pay for the car inspection fee. I scheduled a service appointment 3 weeks ago. I get there and of course they can't find the appointment. They were still willing to service the car, would take 2-3 hours for an oil change. When the service advisor realized the low miles, I was told it wasn't time. I realize it was early too but I'm just doing what the car indicated. Due to COVID the car has low miles but 8 months old. Without looking at the car, the advisor only wanted to reset the light. Since this was my 1st Alfa Romeo, I didn't want to take any chances since I was told originally it was time for service by the dealer I originally purchased the car from. Since this was the only dealer open on Saturday near me, I had come here. I ended up asking for my car back and leaving. Now I realize why I didn't purchase the car at this dealer. I originally purchased my 2017 Alfa Romeo Quarifoglio in December of 2017- Beautiful car that we have been wanting before it even came out for sale in the US. It finally arrived, but the prices were being marked up 5/10/15% from MSRP and topped the 100K price at some dealers. Finally in December of 2017 (About 10 months after release or so) we found OC FIAT/Alfa Romeo and 2 hours later, we had our new Quatrifoglio. We were very pleased with the purchase, unfortunately, shortly after this the dealership decided to no longer sell Alfa Romeo. For our first Service, We came to Champion, everything was great (except for their famous online booking system--(hint: It doesn't, has never, nor will it ever work) So instead of getting frustrated, just call. If something sounds too good (Like service center open Sundays til 5pm) it's because it is (Too good to be true). About three months later the now infamous "Electronic Throttle Light" turned on - and the car gets stuck into a "Mode"- We took it in, they called the next day explained the process and how our car would be in the shop for 6/7 days (Which was fine). Oh, they also stated I need new tires after 2,900 miles- I just simply declined (TIRES AT 3K Miles?) We picked it up, and it was "fixed" but dirty as hell--It literally looked like they parked it under a tree (Outside) with about a dozen bird droppings. This car is about 85K when all is said and done (Without financing) and has a our charge of 2,500 for the paint on our specific car- being the dealership you would think they knew this and would not put it somewhere where birds can use it as a toilet. That was not bad enough- they brought it out just as nasty - You would think they would have washed the car but seriously, If I bring in the car clean, the least you can do is remove the extra dozen bird droppings. Instead of having a young guy coming out looking at me like I'm crazy when I ask if they can hose it down- In February 2019, the "Electronic Throttle Light" came back yet again, but this time with a full-on check engine and lots of lights and noise- like the first time. So, we took it in to service (After the week wait), It was there for 24/25 days- Again, they had to do a lot to the car and could not seem to resolve the issue. They sent me to Enterprise to get a rent a car (That they generously paid for), but enterprise would not let me rent the car with a credit card (customary) and a 16.95 charge a day for insurance. I explained I had full coverage insurance and that I also had insurance with American Express, that they charged me automatically per rental, which they did, and after 24 days and over $ 400.00- I had no choice (They actually charged me for 28 days but returned 3 days back, because the dealership was supposed to return the car and did not for three days) After 24/25 days the car was washed (I know- it was a great improvement) and off I go- for about 3 to 4 weeks when the check engine light turned on, again turning off after a few days and eventually a few weeks, the light would never stay on long enough after this last visit. My Car has been in their shop a minimum of 40+ days (More like 41-42) and I could almost bet you that this light and hazard will come back on, especially since I was told ( And documented) that a deceive was simply moved from one side to the other - However, this is not their doing and I understand this. Customer Service is not about right or wrong (No- I don't believe the customer is always right- there are a lot of bad customers) - Customer service is about making your customer feel like they are the most important part of your job, because in reality, without customers- dealers would not exist. One thing is for sure, When I buy my new Alfa Quatrofigolio and/or Quattroporte- it won't be from Champion and neither will any of hundreds of people I come across in our own business, as well as personally. There is no way to email the general manager or someone privately on their website and now we are on Week two of picking up my car and NO CALL, NO TIRE -- Nothing. Thy damaged my front end tire, said they would fix it this last visit, and now refuse to take any of my calls or return any call- Horrible place. I have driven my car home and has been parked- Once I fix my tire on my own dime for their damage and drive it 1000 miles, the light will come on again. This location is full of LIARS and deserve 0 stars for their lack of just decent customer service! I leased my Stelvio just under 2 years ago at this location. My first visit started off well at first... the salesman Enrique Gomez was nice and friendly. I test drove a Stelvio and immediately loved it. I asked Enrique if CarPlay was available and he assured me it was. I had his sales manager run some numbers and a few hours later I came back to sign the paperwork. Because all the details had already been decided, I figured it would only take an hour or so to get everything signed. They kept me for 3.5 hours!! When I kept asking the dealer rep who was signing the forms with me, Ivan Hernandez, what was taking so long, they came up with an excuse every time. When my car was finally ready, Enrique brought the car out. I asked him again if CarPlay was available to set up. He said it was and if I needed help to call him. I went home that night and tried to set it up but couldn't. The next morning I called and texted him. No response. I waited all day. By the next day, I still didn't get a response so I drove back to the dealership to see him. He claims he was so busy and couldn't get back to me. Wtf?! He spoke to his manager and they both told me there's a software upgrade that my car needed to get CarPlay and it might take a month before the software was available. The next month, I kept trying to call Enrique for a status and he didn't respond. I called the main number and spoke to someone else and they told me that because my car was manufactured earlier in the year, the software would not be available and I couldn't get CarPlay on my car. Fast forward to now...I called Champion to find out my lease end options as this was the first time i had ever leased a car and didn't really know what the process looks like once the lease is up. I was transferred to John Robinson who was EXTREMELY rude and didn't answer any of questions. When I got off the phone with him, I called back and asked to speak to someone else. I was transferred to the Sales Director David Ramirez. I asked him if someone can help me understand some lease end options and also give me an idea what some of the new deals might look like. He then asked me to opt in to their text feature. Once I did, I got a response that said that "Brenda" would reach out to me soon (see screenshot). I never got a call back from anyone. My car is due for an oil change and I called to schedule the service and asked about the free maintenance service that I was told would be included when I signed my lease. I called on Friday and someone said they would check and call me back. No call back so i called again on Saturday and let them know that i was following up on my phone call. The guy who answered apologized and said he would walk my contact info to "Sylvia" and she would call me back as soon as she was done with a customer. Again, no call back. I called a THIRD time on Monday and spoke to Jose who said my complimentary maintenance wasn't in the system...shocking, another lie! He suggested I speak to someone in the Finance Dept in case they might be able to locate it. I spoke to Andrew in Finance and he was the most helpful and empathetic Champion employee i dealt with thus far. Even though he couldn't find my complimentary service, he was at least empathetic once I explained the horrible service I kept getting. I have never worked with a business that was consistent in providing extremely bad customer service all around. We went today to return our leased car at the Champion Alfa Romeo in Downey and to lease a new one I must say I've never been treated worse. They were very unprofessional non caring about our request, first they lied about their inventory, originally they said they have 45 cars but once we got there they only had 6 cars on the lot to show us. After We decided on a car and started negotiation to lease and of course return the old car, all they wanted to do is make their money from the new lease without caring about our lease return, claiming that the inventory manager is not on duty to inspect the leased return car! We told them we didn't feel comfortable leaving the car there without them being liable, at least give us some kind of documentation that our car was left there. They said NO We're not liable for your car you can leave it in the lot at your own responsibility. We decided not to continue with the new lease, thinking we don't want to keep both cars, our purpose that day was to return the old and lease a new one!!!! This is when they got aggressive and started pushing us out! We've asked to speak to the sales manager He refused to meet with us claiming that he's busy. So negligent and unprofessional both sales manager and floor manager, they didn't care if they lose a sale or a loyal customer. It's a shame .... We will never go there again! read more

The WORST Alfa Romeo/Maserati dealer in Southern California. I leased a car from them 3 years ago, and went to them as they were the only dealer in a 100 mile radius that had the model I wanted in the color and with all the options I wanted. Their showroom is sparse. Other luxury car brands they compete with like BMW, Lexus, Audi, etc. all have fairly nice amenities in their showrooms. Some have coffee machines, massage chairs, warm chocolate chip cookies, Champion has nothing. They didn't even have bottles of water, they had to go to the jointly owned Dodge dealer next door to get a drink for me and my wife. You don't at all feel a sense of luxury treatment you'd expect when buying a $50,000+ automobile. They had us fill out all the paperwork at a high top table sitting on stools with no backs, not even at a desk. The whole process also took forever. I went knowing exactly which car in their inventory I wanted and not counting the 10 minute test drive was there for over 6 hours for them to take care of all the paperwork. The last hour was just waiting for them to wash it and fill it up with gas for me, which at that point I didn't care and just wanted to get home with my car. The car itself I loved and didn't have any problem with. Any service I needed I took it to dealers closer to me, which were much nicer. The really kicker for me was on trying to return the vehicle on the end of my lease. I contacted them several times to make arrangements and no one got back to me. Finally with only a few days left on my lease I called them and they told me I could bring it down that day and the process would be very quick. I drove 90 minutes to get there and when I arrived the Alfa Romeo and Maserati showroom was empty. There was not a single person, employee or otherwise in the building. I had to walk over to the Dodge dealer to get help only to be told that there was no one there to take my return that day, despite the fact I called right before I left to make sure it was ok. They said "I don't know who told you that but the lease return manager is only here on Monday through Friday, except not Thursdays so you have to come in one of those days." They made it seem like it was my fault for not knowing that. Then I had to drive all the way across LA to Alfa Romeo Maserati of Santa Monica to drop it off so I could return the vehicle on time. Can't believe it was that hard just to return a car to them. If you are in the market for a Maserati or Alfa Romeo I recommend going to Santa Monica. They staff there is much nicer and much more knowledgeable. At Champion, Alfa Romeo and Maserati feel like an after thought. It seems like the dealer, as part of the Fiat/Dodge/Chrysler family always contractually required to open an Alfa Romeo and Maserati dealer so did just the bare minimum necessary. Do yourself a favor and go to any other dealer. read more

I am 20 and was in the market for a luxury SUV and was doing research on tons of cars in the compact and midsize range. I walk in with my mom to look into a Maserati Levante and they didn't have any. That was fine as I was also considering an Alfa Romeo Stelvio. I am then placed with Martin. He grabs all my information and runs my credit and then comes back and tells me he will not finance me at all, even with a co-signer. I ask him why and he tells me I don't have sufficient history and that I probably don't have a co-signer anyways. He then asks me to look at something "more in my price range" and gestures at a Dodge. I had explained to him I already had offers ready to go with Audi and Porsche. Made an appointment online to take my AF QV down to check a CEL. I was rather excited to see service is available on Sunday and available time to set appointment as well. However, I should have called to confirm but no one ever called me to confirm nor did I receive a confirmation email which should have been a dead give away of the crap online setup this dealership has. I purchased my car in July. Nobody was there to help us. After a half hour my husband talked to someone that said they can't help. We were shocked! 20 min. later my husband found a go getter that had just started his shift with another car brand. He knew nothing about Alfa Romeos but he was kind and helped us. I purchased the car. I went in today for a "software update" which was sent I the mail as a recall for a minor problem. The staff was friendly and took my appointment after being 13 minutes late. I picked up my car after being shuttled to a shopping mall by the sweetest and funniest driver ever( if you speak Spanish). I received a phone call 1.5 hours later letting me know my car was ready. I picked up my car and was shocked to see my car was not washed. I commented that my car was not washed. There was not a comment from the employee ( that was awesome). I have had several cars. All cars get a car wash after any service that I have encountered. Many things are wrong are with this dealership. I should not expect a luxury car to get treated like one here. I'll choose another dealership for any brand beside Champion. Thank goodness I didn't buy the Maserati! I have had the red carpet treatment at Infinity, BMW, and Volvo. I had leased an Alfa Romeo Giulia on July 13th 2019 at 9 PM on a Saturday from Champion Alfa Romeo in Downy, CA. 8 PM on Sunday July the 14th I had a check engine light. Also, when I first leased the vehicle the rear driver's side wheel had a big scratch so the dealer told me they will fix it and will take care of it. No one called, thus I called the dealer three times so far and no one had returned any of my phone calls. I left a voice mail to Ms. Varguz with no call backs. Back to my dilemma with the check engine light, Champion service set me up with an appointment the following Saturday at 9 AM, July 20th, to get the check engine light fixed. I went there on Saturday at 9 AM and waited until 2 PM without giving me a loaner car to drive, and finally a service personnel comes out to tell me they can't look at my car today due to low number in service staff. Seriously? It took them five hours to figure that out? Nonetheless, I contacted the sales person and he talked to one of the managers to see what they can do for me, the manger, said to take the car to Anaheim Hills Alfa Romeo since the cat is under warranty. So thank you Champion for 1. Selling me a lemon, when they knew it was a lemon 2. Waisting my whole entire day on my day off, especially that I live in Irvine, which is 30 miles one way away from the dealer 3. I still don't have the new vehicle that I just leased 4. The worst car purchase experience 5. Store was dirty 6. They don't even have coffee, Champion knew this car had issues, especially when one starts the car when it's cold, it has a very poor start, and that's why they did not return any of my phone calls, they just wanted this car off of their lot. Then the sales person gave me the store manger name, Abel Salazar, which I contacted him and left him a detailed message about my bad experience with this sale and he never returned my phone call. I have a case opened with Alfa Romeo now as my first payment is approaching here on the 13th of August 2019, and the car is still at Anaheim Hills Alfa Romeo with no one knowing what's going on with this car as of today's date, 8/13/19. I still do not havea loaner car, so they told me to rent a car and they will pay for it. Champion car dealership is a bad place to buy or lease a car from. So first I want to say how disappointed I am with doing business with Champion Alfa Romero. I purchased an Alfa Romero from another dealership in Pasadena. I needed to purchase an extra key with recommendation from a parts consultant and also remedy a recall on the vehicle. When I purchased the key the insert emergency part without the computer chip I was told it was separate. When I got there the insert key was already there which means I paid for an extra insert for over 100.00 that I did not need. I attempted to return it only to be told that due to Covid 19 that there were no returns. I told him that the recommendation to purchase was made from their consultant and that they should honor the sale returned. He asked for the receipt which I did not have but I had the receipt for the service which indicated new key program and purchase. The service guy point blacked told me that I did not have the proper invoice to show I purchased it there. If my memory serves me well, when you purchase stuff with a credit card if they don't believe you purchase it there, they can always look up your invoice. At the end of the day When my Giulia and my new Stelvio are up and ready for service, I will be driving to Paramount Alfa Romero than to deal with all these silly games that they play at this darn dealership. Also the three times I was there it was not busy and just to get stuff from parts you ring a bell and still have to stand there for fifteen mins. Very Unprofessional.. I am totally disappointed....Ao if a hundred dollars is worth to you more than a customer who has two vehicles that would have been service there, then SO BE IT! Terrible customer service! read more
