Tried taking my Dad's Honda Oddesy van to get smogged this morning, only to find out someone stole his cat converter. Drove the car here since it is close to his house. Jeff was nice enough to help me immediately and confirmed my suspicions. It had been stolen. Filed a police report while he looked at it. Dropped it off at about 9 am, was ready by 1:30. I have a 25 year old beater of a car that I use as a daily driver for the work/home commute, the faithful guy has 240K miles on the clock and still ticking. Noticed that the muffler started hanging low and the exhaust was making more noise than the norm. Looked up places to bring the car in since I have never had to deal with a muffler/exhaust issue. I am so thankful I found Jeff and so close to home. He said he would take a look at it and let me know. I thought I was going to have to replace the whole muffler, but Jeff was honest and said I could get away with just having the pipe fixed and it would cost less. I have a German car and the muffler hanger bracket broke off and separated from the muffler. He rewelded and now it's lower than the other muffler. Not terrible but I expected that along with reattaching things he would position it correctly to match so they're the same on each side. I asked him about it and he said, "I welded it back in it's original position." Sure would have been nice if he tried to measure the other one to match the hung height. read more

My main Mechanic at YOSEMITE AUTO CARE, referred me to JEFF at CHAMPIONSHIP MUFFLER, for some repairs when I hit a stray bucket on the freeway. A part had to be ordered, and Jeff said it would take 5 days to ship it from Kentucky. On my way to an appointment, I was struck yet again by debris on the freeway, totally dislocating the Exhaust System. I cancelled my appointment, and headed to Championship Muffler to apprise Jeff of my new situation. Jeff is great! I called in the afternoon and he was able to see me for the install of a cat-back muffler system that I had purchased. Pricing was reasonable and you can see Jeff's experience shine as soon as he starts to work. My install required cutting and welding as the previous owner had put a custom made exhaust that made "stock" mounting not a possibility. The Holidays are busy enough but add to the chaos the need for a new catalytic converter to pass the required smog test for DMV registration and pressure builds. Jeff got my installation done faster than predicted on my break. I passed my smog test but CARB rejected my converter, asserting it was not a proper model for my vehicle. I immediately returned to Championship Muffler and Jeff confirmed his error, placed an order for the proper converter had my vehicle ready first thing the next day when CARB accepted my Passing but the proper part number. Even with an understandable error and return, replacement of my faulty catalytic converter was less hassle than writing this review. Championship Muffler is my "go to" shop. read more

After contacting several shops that gave some random astronomical estimate for a job that didn't take very long, I decided to go to Jeff after seeing all the positive feedback. Great place, very good work ethic, but be forewarned!!: they do not take off mufflers. Someone else mentioned this, and I just went to this shop recently and was told the same by the owner. All is well in the end, they still did a great job doing what I asked, but just know that they arent the shop for deleting mufflers/resonators etc. read more
