Every time I come, Shelby always manages to make a picture that I've found of hair come to life. I've had a wide variety of colors and be loved every one of them. Shelby always remembers my family and asks how they are doing. Denise also asks and they both are just so kind and neither have a bad bone in their bodies. Anyway, just sharing a picture of my hair to see the varieties I've had the past 4ish years from Shelby. Additionally, I have a very sensitive head and Shelby does her best to try not to hurt me. And since I live in Lexington, she always makes appointments work for me. And Shelby also waxes eyebrows and does it fairly painless. Excellent work as always! And she does Keratin smoothing treatments about twice a year to my hair. Really helps when I straighten my hair and keeps the frizz down in my hair significantly. Sometimes I wish my hair could just stop growing so that my hair could always be frizz free. Lol. Best hair place ever!! The day I move farther away is going to be a sad, sad day. read more

My coworker loves Denise, and despite the fact that she's had several bad experiences (late, canceled, missed cutting areas of her hair and had to go back, scheduled multiple people at the same time), I decided to get a blowout Groupon. The first visit I scheduled with Denise, but did not find out I was seeing another stylist until I got there. It appeared Denise had scheduled someone else that was overlapping my appointment. Luanne was kind enough to volunteer to do my hair to help Denise, unfortunately it was apparent she had never done a true blowout. I could tell because she was asking Shelby how to use the curling wand. That was probably my sign to leave, but I thought I would give her a chance. Although Luanne was nice, she did a terrible job. She was very rough when using the round brush on my hair - it's surprising that I had any hair left. She dropped the blow dryer on my head and the curling wand. She tried to style my hair so it would look nice the next day, and didn't even bother to ask if I had somewhere to be that night (which I did). Evidently her arm or hand gives out occasionally - which makes me wonder why she's still doing hair. The blowout was not a true blowout and looked terrible. By the time the appointment was over, I was hungry and wanted to get the heck out of there and to my dinner, so I just gritted my teeth and told them it was good. I texted Denise later showing her there were sections of my hair without curl and after some back and forth she agreed to give me a do-over after Derby. She was VERY difficult to deal with, even tried to blame everything on me. Denise also explained to me that the blowout Groupon is for only straight hair. (This was not in the fine-print of the Groupon.) She said they canceled the blowout Groupon due to the misunderstanding of what a blowout is. In another text she even said she doesn't take Groupons - how does that even make sense? When I first got my Groupon in Feb, I made an appointment for June. Two days before my appointment she asked if I could come at a later time, but I couldn't. She then proceeded to tell me to show up early or on-time because she was going to have to work me in between her 530 - basically she was going to work on me while her color customer was processing. Evidently Denise cannot figure out how to make a schedule. While I am always on-time or early to my appointments, I decided to cancel since I don't prefer to share my appointment with someone else. She believes it's perfectly acceptable to work on multiple people at one time. I prefer to have the sole attention of the stylist. I canceled my June appointment and went ahead and got a full refund from Groupon ($55). Overall, I would not recommend ANYONE to come here. Denise was very difficult to deal with and you might have to share your appointment with someone else. read more

As my tip says - you really have to look for this place - there is no big sign along the side of the road for Posh Salon. I had purchased a coupon from a discount website for a shellac manicure. After having some scheduling conflicts I was finally able to get in pretty quickly. The salon is small but organized and clean and decorated nicely. When I arrived there was a young lady finishing up a keratherapy treatment. Denise is a very experienced cosmetologist. We ended up hitting it off as she gave me a beautiful and very clean shellac manicure. She didn't do much work with my cuticles and didn't do a an arm message that I can remember (what I normally think of when I think of manicures)...but my nails lasted almost two full weeks and would probably have lasted longer if I didn't have a job that was somewhat labor intensive. Although she admitted she doesn't have the largest of selection of colors, I found plenty I was interested and was happy she had few alternatives to pinks and reds. Her sweet grandson was also at the salon and he was well behaved and very smart. I will definitely return to Denise for future services...including thinking about the keratherapy treatment for myself. This lady knows what she is doing! read more

Worst manicure and pedicure of my life. I bought a coupon for two manis and don't want to redeem the second! The professionalism was nonexistent. The cosmetologists were talking about their customers poorly in front of me. My cuticles weren't trimmed and the shellac chipped within 4 hours when it should last two weeks!!! read more

I have seen Mindy for both eyebrow microblading and for lash extensions. She spent extensive time consulting with me and advising me. I love her aesthetic. She completely understood that I wanted to "pop" but didn't want to look overly dramatic. She hit a perfect balance. She is highly skilled, and knows her products. On top of all of that, she is a lovely person with a kind energy and put me completely at ease. I highly recommend her for both of these services. Do yourself a favor and go to her, and skip the chain/franchise places. Mindy takes great pride in her work, and it shows all over her face (and mine!). read more

I bought a Groupon for the 2 shellac Manicures and 2 pedicures. The only thing the manicurist did was file both my nails and toes. She didn't do my cuticles at all. And the polish job was worse than my own. It was terrible. I left there found the same polish that was used on my toes and re-did them. I'm getting both done over at my regular salon Sunday. I felt bad for the girl cuz all she talked about was how much money they lost on groupons and all they made was tips from them. And she talked about how customers didn't tip well or didn't show up for their appts. She also did not look professional. And she stayed on her phone. The owner was not there. I will not be going back to use the other half of my groupon. I thought about using it on a child. smh. read more

I LOVE this salon! The owner, also named Denise, is the best in the business...hands down. She started doing keratherapy treatments on my hair almost a year ago, and my hair is in the best shape ever-it looks and feels GREAT! She made me feel like a friend of the family in the first 10 minutes of my first visit (which was a bonus because keratherapy treatments take a couple of hours). She is a pro! There are signs out front and on the building so it is visible from Shelbyville Road. I won't trust my hair to anybody else but Denise from now on. She is fabulous, and reasonably priced...especially for that zip code! If you are looking for a new hair style, or want to try the best Keratin treatment on the market-you don't have to look any farther than Posh Salon! I just left there an hour ago, stopped by the grocery store and received 3 compliments on my hair from total strangers! She is awesome! read more
