I'm not entirely sure. Was it a mind-blowing experience? Not really. Was it delicious? Absolutely. I just don't think it's so far superior to other great burgers that most people need to travel 45 minutes for it, especially considering the extremely limited seating, crowded space, and slightly grungy DTLA location. If you're anywhere nearby, Amboy is absolutely worth trying. If you're a true burger connoisseur, it may even be worth the longer pilgrimage.
