    The Chando's Taco truck!
    Joyce W.

This review is for the Chando's Taco food truck at an event. We ordered 2 carne asada burritos and 2 pork adobada burritos and both kinds were good but too salty. My husband did kind that there's little to no rice, I don't think there's any in there, which is what he prefers. It's a lot of protein with mostly meat, plus the pico de Gallo, cheese, and we asked for salsa on the side instead of in the burritos. They were made quickly and served warm and packaged well. Service was fast, polite, and professional. There's no ambiance since it was at an event, so it wasn't at the restaurant, but we enjoyed our burritos at a picnic bench and we also got chips and mild salsa Verde with a drink. Everything was delicious, but again kind of salty. Portions were big so we split the burritos and only ate 2 and saved the other 2 for later. Looking forward to future events with Chando's tacos!

Chandos, chandos......chandos ‍ First, I have to start off by saying I have been a patron of Chando's for many years and have seen the growth and expansion of the business and I'm so proud of you all. That being said, I ordered Chando's through a third-party delivery service. I don't remember. When I received my food, it was at first glance, aesthetically appealing, and I was excited to devour. The seasoning of the food was top-notch, which is the only reason I give you a slight pass. We ordered the three street tacos which were stuffed with toppings which I love however, the tortillas weren't crisp but either soggy from the juice or from the condensation through travel. It's stuck like glue to the parchment paper, making it very difficult to enjoy as the tacos breakdown in your hands We also ordered a loaded fry, which was also loaded with meats and toppings. Once I started eating it, I noticed that the fries were not cooked all the way through and you can taste that they were not fresh but seemed previously frozen. Upon skipping around the fries and through the toppings is where I discovered the huge grease puddle that was slowly building and taking over the fries. It quickly turned to mush, which forced me to not be able to finish it. Chandos, you have a great product however I feel either the process is being rushed or now due to great expansion corners are being cut, which makes me very sad. Your food is tasty and delicious , but I miss the love and care from back in the day.

    Chando's Veggie Tacos

I came here on a Taco Tuesday where most of their tacos are $2.50. I love how they have a variety of vegetarian tacos. From my experience, they do rotate their Taco Tuesday menu but always have vegetarian options on the list. My friend and I each ordered a veggie, papas, and espinicas taco. Food came out super quick and hot. My favorite was the papas tacos since it was deep fried filled with mashed potato. The veggie and espinicas tacos was also really good but was a bit too salty for me. I recommend grabbing some of their green and red sauce at the sauce station and drizzling them on your tacos for maximum flavor. Would visit again for more Taco Tuesdays!

Really good tacos! I love their pico and elotes too. The employees are friendly and the food is always fresh. Can't go wrong with a Chandos taco!!

I tried the adobada and asada street tacos on my lunch break Thursday, both were good and I recommend them! 5 stars for those 2 tacos but I can't speak on the rest of the menu and only recommend what I ordered. The service was very fast and friendly here, lots of tables inside as well. Plenty of parking too. I recommend stopping by here sometime.

First time here! Ordered a mulita asada for togo along with order items. Found multiple pieces of hair in my food, all ranging from different colors and lengths after eating half of it. I was severely disgusted.

My wife is allergic to onions. I specifically told them NO ONIONS. Now we are in the ER. I tried to communicate as to what is going on 12/4/2024 7:53 pm. They hung up on me without a word spoken. Lawsuit coming!

When I moved to Sacramento 7 years ago Chandos one my favorite but unfortunately the quality over the years is disappointing. I included a picture of what a $4 fish taco looks like I also orders a mini chicken torta there was very little chicken and the hardest Bolio bread

Not bad. Service was helpful, water you refill yourself. There was a lot of different desserts in there though. I feel like I'd stop by just for that. I had gotten veggie tacos. They were decent, veggies tossed together, little bit light on cooking. Flavors didn't meld a bit. But I always like salsas to choose from and the green was nice and creamy.

What happened to Chando's? We used to love this place but the flavor, quality and service have gotten so bad. We tried the Elk Grove location and vowed not to ever go back! We gave them another chance with the power inn location. It was fully disappointing. The carne asada used to be the staple. It no longer tastes like they grill it with the mesquite charcoal. It was greasy and reheated instead of being fresh. The competition is definitely leaving Chando's behind. Salsa is average too. It feels like they are no longer closely managing the restaurants.

The carne asada burrito I tried here was terrible. It was loaded with lots of fillers like chopped lettuce, pico-de-gallo, guacamole, cilantro, diced onions, cheese and tomatoes. (I am glad I asked them not to add the sour cream.) The meat was dry, too chewy and overly seasoned. Rolled inside a poorly pan-fried tortilla shell that was already cracking in the middle when I removed the wrappings. The edges were cold. The much hyped burrito totally bombed. Very disappointing. Its loyal patrons and Sacramentans love Chando's. But you have heard the idiom that "love is blind." They obviously lack taste perception as well. Not good. Service was subpar and my order took an unusually long time despite only one customer ahead of me by the time I placed mine. Hard pass next time.

We were really bummed to find out that you get charged for chips and salsa and they don't come out automatically without asking and it also the charge is dependent on how many people are in your party. Also, when the chips came out, there was only one salsa, which hasn't usually been the case. We're not sure if this was just some modifications because of dine downtown happening, but it was a bummer. We ordered the taquitos for an appetizer and those were OK..nothing special. However, the Carnitas lacked flavor and were a bit dry. Neither of us would probably order that again. We also ordered a couple of blended mockaritas, one strawberry and one mango and both were tasty, but the strawberry would definitely needed another blend as there were a big chunks of ice. I visited this past Saturday and it was quite busy inside like it always is. The restaurant is large enough to fit a lot of people, so finding a seat isn't an issue. Usually I order 2 tacos with my burrito but I was saving room for Korean bbq that day! The Super Burrito comes with your choice of meat, rice, beans, salsa, sour cream, guacamole, and cheese. I also ordered a medium pineapple agua fresca, which paired perfectly with my burrito. After ordering, you're handed a number to take to your table so the servers know where to bring your food. As I'm waiting for my food, I helped myself to the self-serve chip bar. The chip bar is my favorite thing about the restaurant besides the food and quick service. I always get loads of both the white and red pickled onions, and some salsa to go with my chips. They offer many sides to choose from so that anyone can customize their meal to their liking. The pickled onions have the perfect level spice and acidity to them which helps with cutting down the greasiness you may get from a burrito. I also like to snack on them for fun too! The food comes out extremely quickly. When I finished placing my order and brought my number to my table, I went to the self-serve bar right after to get some chips. Not even 2-3 minutes later, I came back to my table with my burrito already there! The burrito was absolutely delicious and piping hot.
