DO NOT SHOP. Would give 0 stars if I could. I had a very frustrating and disappointing experience at Thanh Tin. 2 weeks ago, my Fiancé and came to purchase our engagement ring. The pricing on the ring was fair which was why we considered it, but red flags started showing up when they didn't provide any warranty on the ring. Not only did they not properly size my finger, but the jeweler did a terrible job at setting my stone. There were small gaps between the prong and the diamond. We came back after purchasing the ring to this the prongs fixed and they wanted to charge us for the service! He left indent marks from a nail clipper on my prongs. They were not straight and were slanted. The whole ring off putting and I was overall not happy with it. Skip forward two weeks. We had to come back again because the center became loose without dropping or blunt force to it. I had asked multiple people to verify including staff from the jewelry store across from them, all which confirmed that the center stone was loose. However, when we came to complain, the staff were gaslighting me. They were not understanding but had the audacity to say that I was imagining it and that they were the professional so I didn't know what I was talking about. While my girl Annie has been MIA, I'm happy to announce that all employees here at Thanh Tin Jewelry is pretty helpful. One that stands out more than the rest is Chi Phuong. She is one of the OGs here at the shop and I can always count on her knowledge when it comes to the ins and out of jewelry. I always come here for all of my needs and my most recent visit was due to needing to set my diamonds into earrings. No appointments necessary but be prepared to wait a bit if they are busy. One of the older ladies offered to assist but Chi Phuong quickly stepped in since she was a lot more familiar with the questions I had. I settled with some 18k screw backs and although I really wanted my earring to be done right then and there, I had to settle with pick up on the following day due to the jewelry store closing fairly soon. Pick up was quick, easy, and extremely satisfying. Thanh Tin always delivers!! Unfortunately my diamonds [purchased elsewhere] are not symmetrical to one another and I wasn't aware until I sat down and really inspected the earrings. Thats what I get for entrusting my purchases elsewhere!!! I will now have to remove the diamonds from it's setting and come back once I am able to obtain matching sizes. 5/5 stars because Chi Phuong didn't give me a hard time and told me to come back whenever I found the pieces I needed. They recently opened in Grand Century Mall! Came here with my parents last week. I wanted to resize one of my rings & my dad upgraded my mom's stone for their anniversary (Aww!) so she wanted a new band. I was really hesitant about going to another jewelry store in this mall because of my previous experiences. But since they were new, I figured why not? Like always, when you come in, everyone greets you so warmly because they think you're going to buy something. Then when you say you're just browsing, they change their attitude and turn away. However, that wasn't the case here, at least not that day. It was probably around 5:30-6PM and I told them I just wanted my ring resized. Usually they aren't really friendly because they know it's such a small sale but they were still really nice about it. After saying that, we mentioned that my mom wanted to look at some bands. Tiffany, our sales girl, was nice enough to show her a lot of styles and made recommendations. We really liked the fact that she didn't push us into something we didn't want, when we kept saying no to the really flashy ones, she backed off and showed us more subtle ones. My mom tried on a bunch of styles and she actually found one she liked so then they sized it and put her loose stone onto it. It came out gorgeous and she was extremely happy. They also changed her gold (yellow) necklace pendant into white gold. I got my ring resized and even polished! Although they were near (and eventually past) closing time, we weren't rushed. They kept apologizing that they had to clean up and cover things up but we understood. Tiffany was great, you should come see her if you ever need anything!
