I just got a manicure with Nellis at Changes in Walnut Creek, and it was fantastic. I'm a guitarist with a huge gig coming up this week, and I came in with five or six painful hangnails that were seriously bugging me. Nellis totally saved the day. She cleaned them up, got me polished and looking good, and the whole experience was just great. She's incredibly sweet, friendly, genuine, and clearly knows what she's doing. I felt completely taken care of. Guys--don't be afraid to take care of yourselves. My first pedicure here and Jessica was amazing! I was so relaxed by the end I almost took a nap in the chair I will definitely be back.

The worst! Do not book at this salon! I had an appointment for a pedicure today. I called last evening to explain that I needed to cancel because I had tested positive for COVID earlier in the day. I called again this morning to make sure they knew that I had called yesterday. Each time I called, the girl who answered told me I MIGHT have to pay 50% of the cost of the service but it would be up to the manager. Today, sure enough, a charge for half of the price of the pedicure, which is not inexpensive, was run through on my credit card. I called and spoke to a manager who told me the charge was to make sure the woman who was supposed to do the pedicure got paid and that they never made exceptions even if the client is very ill. I've never heard of such callousness on the part of a merchant. Not even doctors would do that. Unbelievable! I will never set foot in there again. read more

Massage was great. From the warm, comfy foot soak to start all the way through to the post massage relaxation lounge afterwards. The only negative was that when we got to the lounge there were no clean robes available for us. We had to go out to the front desk and request them. This was actually the second time this month that I had to ask for a clean robe. Other than that everything was great. read more

I was looking forward to this birthday massage and it was awful! The spa was freezing, the foot soak water was cold and the areas of focus I asked to get massaged were not addressed. Tried a pedicure here for the first time and was excited because of the set up being different than a traditional nail salon. A blanket, weighted eye mask, a nice reclining chair. The service provider went to cut my first toe nail and cut my nail too short and got my nail bed/skin. She didn't say anything and just started filing that toe and the rest. Didn't cut my other nails or file the other foot. Doesn't feel like my cuticles were done after that either. The remaining service also just felt like someone was going through the motions without much effort. My facial person told the front desk so it could be addressed. They put something on the cut and went on with their day. The receptionist even made a point to not mention until after we paid and tipped. She said "oh wait. Wasn't there an issue with your pedicure? Do you want it fixed?" And I told her no because my toe was in pain and it didn't want it further irritated. She just responded have a good day and waited for us to leave. Two stars because my facial was enjoyable and she made an effort to resolve an issue she didn't even create. read more
