Pizza was average, service was very good for delivery. Pizza sauce is good but didn't care for the other ingredients, crust was average.

The pizza is still the best, with Mondays being half price. They were super busy, as to be expected, and did the best they could. Get there early or be prepared to wait a little for a table. Lots of tv's to watch games on while you wait. read more

To our surprise Monday is half price pizza day!!! All pizzas half off any size any kind and they came out hot, fresh, good portion of toppings and tasted pretty darn good. Restaurant setting is a large bar area surrounded by table seating and the place has a nice covered patio. Service... ehh we sat at the bar and I felt like a huge inconvenience to the bartender and did not feel welcomed at all. Anything I asked for such as salt and pepper or refill on my water I felt bad asking for and I tried to be extra pleasant. I held my card out to pay finally set it down watched her ask three other groups if they wanted their check so I set the card down and when I did get to pay I was not thanked or given any gratitude. We ordered 8 pieces of all white chicken and received a mixed white and dark 8 piece instead...this has happened the last 2 times we ordered The first time we didn't report on the problem but this time we did...they are sending a new chicken order. the only reason i gave a two was because the place was clean. i would have given a one otherwise. i was afraid to order pizza as they always burn it! The burger was bland and not done to request, the fries were so salty they could not be eaten and the season sour cream was so spicy that my friend nor i could eat that either. I go here regularly so my review might be a little biased. The pizza here is fantastic. I think it's definitely in my top 3 all time. The menu is plentiful and a lot of their entrees and specials are good. I eat here often. The staff is very friendly and the service is good. The restaurant is always clean and well organized. It's a family friendly restaurant and it's also a great neighborhood bar. A lot of the regulars live within walking distance and always make newcomers welcome. Last week we were dumb enough give this location another try. Pizza is good, but over priced. Service is consistently terrible. Waitresses never know what is on the tap list and they don't print it out. Ordered the chef special. 30 minutes later the waitress comes back and tells us that she forgot to put in our order. Accidents happen, but there were only the occupied tables so it's kind of hard to do that. Pizza then takes 45 minutes, so they took their time. Maybe will try again in a year. read more

If I could give them a 0 star I would. We ordered our pizza and apps. The apps came at a reasonable amount of time. Now here's where it shady! They bring the 1st pizza. While we sit there and wait they come out and explained they screwed up the 2nd pizza (just sausage with fresh mushrooms). They said we can just throw mushrooms on top and you can have that or we can refire, with a 20 minute wait. So I guess we wait. Now we asked for extra ranch and blue cheese the server says well I'll have to charge you .50 for each one. Attn! Customers are automatically charged a 3.75% of their total bill (at the bottom of your tab- take a peek). It says credit card charge! We didnt use a card we paid in cash. We were still charged!!!! Hmmmmmm. Coon Rapids needs to look i to the legality of this! Very costly if your having dinner and drinks- Go else where or order from your local Chanticlear pizza and pay the delivery guy! They banned us from getting delivery for some reason. We called one day and they just said "Sorry, our system says not to accept orders from your address." WHAT?! Why?! "We don't know." Chanticlear has decent food and great pizza relative to the other selections available in the Coon Rapids area. Unfortunately their service is just consistently awful. On any random night the regular servers are simply some of the worst I have ever seen. They are inefficient, unable to note customer potential needs and It is almost as if they are trying to ignore you. The amount of money that this business loses annually to bad service probably eclipses the current revenue levels. If you are going to spend money enticing customers to visit with gimmicks like trivia night, etc, at least have adequate staff to properly serve those customers. read more

Checked out there website, everyone was hungry for pasta. We love there pizza. However, we wanted to order pasta. Low and behold, there website said Sunday special was pasta with online ordering only. sounds perfect right? Nope.. there online ordering says temporarily down. We went back to Chanticlear after staying away due to terrible food in our last couple visits. We thought we'd give it another try, what a mistake! They have a few new items on their menu, so we tried the pot roast. The waiter said it was fall apart tender and it had really good flavor. We got our meal, the mashed potatoes were so cold the butter didn't melt. The meat came without any gravy and it was so tough, we had a hard time cutting it with a steak knife. This sucks....we used to love going to Chanticlear! It was our favorite weekly haunt, but the quality of the food (other than pizza) is so God aweful, we won't be going there again. read more

The pizza was very good. I asked for ranch with it on the side was charged for the ranch but then never actually got it. This is like one of my favorite parts because their ranch is so good. I called to see if I was charged for it. I was and the wouldn't refund me the money for it....they said they couldn't do that that I would have to go all the way back and get the ranch or the cash for it. Their app does not work for online ordering - so we called in to place our order and after ordering $105 in food, we tried to order a kids meal and were told "Kids meals are for dine in only - not take out." Since the early 1970's and the original tiny location in Blaine, near Oak Park Plaza, that his been my favorite thin crust pizza, and remains so today. I often order for pick up, and have never had an issue with the order or quality. It's consistently outstanding thin crust pizza, prepared as ordered, and just as good cold as hot. In fact, I'll often order a pizza for the drive to the lake cottage to share in the car, and one for the next day, for some "morning after" food. In 50+ years, I've never had anything but the thin-crust, it's simply outstanding. read more

I've been a fan of Chanticlear pizza for a long time and I'm especially thrilled that the Chanticlear Pizza Grill is so close to my house. Nothing like having a neighborhood bar and grill to support! Their food is delicious and I've always had great service. I'd recommend the pizza any day of the week (Chanti special). The Caesar chicken wrap, chips and queso ($5 during Vikings games), my grandparents shared the flat iron steak meal which was cooked to perfection. The TOTS are yummy, salads, beers, etc. What more do you want? The only menu item I wasn't too keen on was the chicken fettucine (a bit greasy), but I keep trying new menu items and keep finding reasons to go back. Plus, they have bingo and the bathrooms are super nice and clean. Definitely give this place a try! read more

Very disappointed to say the least...Called to order 3 kids meals since adults are having bbq and was told that we're not allowed to order unless we purchased at least 1 adult meal. Crazy!!! Super bummed, had a party at the Humane society, asked this morning if I could preorder to get it there by 3:20-3:30 at the latest because we had a limited time to eat. The next party was at 4 they had to clear the room. The pizza did not come until 3:51 they had about 5 minutes to eat and get out. :(.. They take absolutely forever to get your food. The waiter didn't notice us for like 10 minutes. We waited over an hour for a few pizzas. The grill closes 2 hours before they close which means all you can order is pizza and wings. If a place is open until 10 there is no reason a grill should close at 8pm. 8:30 or 9 I can see but 8pm is atrocious. read more

Called back told them of the mistake and they knew we would call cause the pizza we got belonged to a table in the restaurant. They more than made up for the mistake. Keep the mistake pizza, get the pizza I ordered + cheese sticks + 2 liter pop. Pizza was very delicious and we were very pleased with the fix of their mistake. Be aware that Chanticlear just added a 3.75% "fee" that is automatically added to your bill. If you pay with cash, you can get this credit card fee removed. I don't typically carry much cash, so I had no other choice than to pay this fee. I don't know for sure, but this probably carries over into their take out and delivery food as well. There are many other good restaurant choices around that don't charge me to swipe my card. I'll be back if they change their policy. read more

I can't give a five star because I thought the beer price were ridiculous,and that they don't offer any kind of dessert options when we were more than happy to buy one. Seriously, consider offering desserts. Also know tall craft beer for 8 bucks when you your craft options aren't that wide, and I can get it cheaper elsewhere. You should also be more clear on what your happy hour means. What do get off? You just say happy hour. That being said, the food is great. I've had the chicken parm sandwich, the garlic bread, the burchetta, the cob salad and the club sandwich. All of them were fantastic. I would say the portions are TOO BIG but I love having left overs for the next day. Your food prices are perfectly fair for what you get.
