What a Gem! Tucked away next to a pizza shop in a small strip mall is such a wonderful place. The layout of the restaurant is very open concept and modern. The staff are friendly and on point, the craft beer selection is great! And the food is out of this world. I ordered the Lobster Risotto and I was pleasantly surprised. The risotto was bursting with buttery, lobstery goodness and topped with poached lobster. I must say that this is one of the best meals I have ever had. You really should check this place out! Tried some snacks (buffalo chicken and blue cheese dip, corned beef croquettes, poutine) and few house brewed beers. Both were creative and satisfying. Thursday night, arrived at 6 pm and while all the tables were occupied there were a handful of open bar seats which we quickly made use of. For those partial to a table the couple next to us who had arrived a few minutes prior enjoyed a cocktail and were promptly seated at a table soon thereafter. Large, free parking lot out front was a bit congested, which came as no surprise, but finding a spot was no issue. Atmosphere was contemporary industrial but comfortable. Service was excellent. On two recent visits - most/all beers on tap are IPA's - no pilsner or lager. The reason it is say: "pilsner and lager are popular". Huh? Their popular meatloaf sandwich was recently removed from the menu. Another huh? Won't be back anytime soon. read more

Definitely my favorite restaurant in Dover. We go a few times a month to experience their rotating menu. The staff is so friendly and the restaurant has a great atmosphere. My favorite meal so far has been roasted quail over a bed of gnocchi with the most DELICIOUS mushrooms. They have great beer too! read more

This is now my go to place. Very neighborhoody and down to earth with good fresh food. The chef has a wonderful palate and puts together some really nice combinations...the host always remembers us and knows which are our favorite seats .. the servers are all sweet and fun and attentive without being over the top.not to mention good looking :)..the prices are super reasonable..I find the atmosphere minimalist and unfussy...it is so relaxing after a long day at work or the end of the work week... I echo the comment "this is not the Black Birch" it's a unique venture all its own. If there is a line it's 110% worth the wait. Great beer, food and outstanding service. I cannot believe the beer they are turning out. The food is incredible, dessert is a must. Chapel+Main is raising the bar very high, and their prices are more than reasonable too. I had heard from a friend that they loved chapel and main so we decided to give it a try. This was just ok. The tables are really really close together. It's hard to carry on a conversation with the person you came with. My husband got the steak frites. Steak was pretty tasty but he was still starving when he finished his meal. He's not a big guy so for him to still be hungry is unusual. I ordered the fish and chips special. Huge portions. Unfortunately I didn't like the seasoning and didn't eat it. My husband tried it as well and he didn't eat it either. We ordered the salted caramel brownie with whip cream for dessert. Disappointing. The brownie was served at room temperature which is fine but it was stale and crumpling apart like it had been left on the counter uncovered. The whip cream was runny. read more

My husband and I went here a couple Saturdays ago for a late lunch. We ate inside because it was so hot out. The server and bartender were both obviously wearing masks but were still running in and out taking care of guests despite the heat. Both had amazing attitudes and were just so helpful and friendly. I was impressed immediately. My husband had two beers and loved them. I had two cocktails, both super refreshing. I had the veggie wrap for lunch, it was really well balanced and the fries were unreal. So good! Overall just a really nice experience here. This place recently opened in Dover and we have been there a few times. The service is very good-the food is very fresh and the choice of beers is excellent. The decor is a little off-like an unfinished factory and it's one of those hipster places that refuses to put TV's on the wall (Because.. Sports?) Oh well. I was super excited to try this place and for the most part it didn't disappoint. We got three appetizers and they were all delicious. I got the scallops and they were also awesome and cooked perfectly. We tried all the desserts and loved them. My only complaint would be the specialty cocktails. I tried two, one was totally gross (the paint store) and the other was just okay. My advice to the bartender would be to make a drink tasty instead of trendy. Salt Overload! We went on a Friday night and didn't have to wait too long for our food. Service was decent and the interior is nice for a strip mall. I had the lobster risotto, and it was eating a spoonful of salt! The lobster itself was nice, but the risotto wasn't cooked correctly and it was way too over salted! I quickly regretted getting the full, and wish I went for the half. We had the 7 layer dip for an app and that was good, someone else in my party got the chicken, and I wish I had gone with that. Came on a Saturday twice - once for a drink and a snack on our way out of town and it was so good that we came back for dinner. Beer selection is small but mighty. Had an excellent Ipswich Ale Oatmeal Stout on draft. Cocktails are unique and flavorful. We both enjoyed the daiquiri, and my husband had the City Lights, which was a nice, gin-forward cocktail, served up. A requested adjustment to a signature cocktail was made with a smile and no attitude whatsoever. I had the pub cheese, sharp but not overly horseradished, and a bargain at $4, and the seven layer dip, which was also very good. The steak frites enjoyed by my husband were described as incredibly flavorful and perfectly cooked. The star of the show for me was the warm lentil and chard salad. It was just perfect - not over-seasoned and the fresh chard was still the star of the dish, as it should be! The crispy shallots were the perfect decadent touch. Bravo, folks. My friends and I were there on a Sunday evening, expecting the same menu as during the week. I was really hoping to try the lobster risotto. None of us knew that it was brunch served all day. There was a mixture of breakfast food - eggs, flapjacks - and dinner food - salmon, chicken. The appetizers were more like pub food, nothing out of the ordinary. I ordered the flapjacks, with bacon and pineapple and enjoyed them. The others ordered the dinner items, and although everyone liked their choices, they all agreed that the portions were small. I was a little worried about a brunch menu late on Sunday afternoon. One bite into the lobster Benedict, I was hooked. Excellent sauce to muffin ratio, perfectly poached eggs and delicious lobster. My daughter had some great pancakes, and my husband had the quail. All were delicious. I loved the nostalgic music they were playing. It was a great experience. We will be back! read more
