I will say we did have to negotiate for a awhile but they eventually met us where we wanted to be. They took the time to find extra rebates and promotions to get us the best deal we could. Well, avg of 3 stars makes sense. I was in and out probably 20 mins or less haha. "C Loco" is crazy for sure. I looked past the overflowing trash and (is that soda? or ...?) stained walls behind their desks ... but I went there ready to buy a specific truck. The sad part is I probably would have totally paid the price he said was "the best he could do" but since he was so rude and made it so awkward ... it was not hard to walk away from. I honestly would've never known that the price he could have quoted me was direct from their website if he had just pretended to put some effort into it haha. I'm a first time car buyer who is terrible with numbers and tax and percentages and blah blah ... money does not drive me ... I've had my car serviced here several times. On one occasion they even assisted in getting me into a rental car at their cost. Today I actually purchased a new car from there. I am always skeptical of dealerships. You just never truly know how good of a deal you're getting. My salesperson, Jordan S. was great. He definitely worked to get me what I wanted and at a good price. Now I didn't like being asked by someone else if I wanted to use my credit card to put down money after explaining my situation but Jordan was great and so was the General Manager. Overall experience was very good. Jeff the service manager was a big help, taking my car for a drive when I said I was hearing a flapping noise. Turned out to only be the crappy license plate holder, but he took it off for me back at the dealership. Had my oil changed as well, was pretty quick less than 25 minutes, slow Saturday I guess. The person who got me all checked in asked a bunch of questions, which was awesome, but I wasn't entirely sure if she listened to my answers. She forgot I asked them to look to see if there was a piece of garbage stuck under the car (the flapping noise) also forgot that she was going to have them wash the car. She called me over to say they were done but said oh I forgot about the wash and the second time I had to ask if they found anything to do with the noise, she again had to send the car back around. She was very nice, it was just a bit concerning that she had forgotten everything so quickly. I would go back again and would recommend to a friend, maybe she was just having an off day, but Jeff was great! read more

I wanted to recognize this dealership but especially Ken Schultz. I recently had one of the biggest moves of my life that included everything from graduation to job change, moving states, and everything in-between that could challenge your day. I went into Chapman Chevrolet and sat with Ken to cover multiple basic services/issues(8) with my Chevy Cobalt that I had been waiting/neglecting due to my insane schedule. Additionally I had a recall for my Chevy Cobalt ignition which we most likely have all heard on the news :) . I went in with 2 days before I drove all of my things to California for my new life stressing the many needed services for my vehicle and safety of a new ignition switch fearing they could not accomplish all of these things due to short notice. He took exceptional care of my vehicle and myself while also having an optimistic and fun attitude despite all that needed to be done. He was able to get a laundry list of items serviced, repaired, and recall warrantied for me within a day and offered many other services and conveniences to help my transition. He thought outside of the box for issues that were not easily obtained and CARED for me. I would label him as someone of what I call the dying breed, "A True Customer Service Representative". Typical bait and switch dealer. I set up time to look at a specific truck they said they had at the Chapman Tempe location Went in and they told me the truck is actually at our sister store. Why would I set up a time to come in to test drive and begin the purchase process if you don't have the vehicle? Bad sales tactics. I will never do business with them ever. Also they advertised the truck with dealer discounts and manufacturer discounts. Great, looks good as I would qualify for all but one of the discounts. They then said but we have 12k more in vehicle add ons that add to the advertised cost. That's typical and I was prepared to negotiate the actual cost but not having the truck on hand when I came in was the deal breaker. Shady tactics. Don't trust Stephanie and Travis. Waisted my time. I did eventually buy a used car from Chapman because it was a good car but the process was so excruciating I will avoid Chapman if possible. They have so many upsells that add $1500 to the price and they have exorbitant document fees of $499 (which in AZ you can't negotiate). Also to get the internet price you have to finance through them. I was ready to walk a couple times in the process but they kept dropping. While I got to a price I liked and I think I played the haggling game well, I hate the game. The finance department also had an upsell which they tried to slip by me. If possible I'll work with somebody else next time I'm in the market. read more

I just bought a 2016 Mercedes C300 with 15,XXX MILES on it and not even 3 hours into owning the car I have it shut off on me and not turn back on. Finally it turns back on while I'm in the middle of traffic and while shifting from park to drive to reverse my car jolts. The next day I take it back to the dealership trying to get my old 2017 back because it had absolutely no problems but now they're telling me I'm stuck with the basically supposed to be brand new car and it's shutting off on me. These problems were supposed to be fixed or at least I should have been notified about the issues this dealership felt the need to sneak past me. If I knew all the problems this dealership would bring me I would have never looked back. I don't usually leave any kind of reviews especially bad ones but this place is not a good place to buy your car. Do yourself a favor and run the opposite way because this place gives little to no care about what they're selling as long and they get your money. Please don't make the same mistake. Two weeks ago, I bought a 2012 canyon and had a great car buying experience with that purchase, then about a week after I bought it started to have electrical problems, the mechanics spent hours trying to figure it out. The problem continued, finally Duane one of the manages said just bring it in and we'll put you into something that will work better for you. When I showed up they had 3 trucks for me to look at. Ray the internet manager took great care of me, great story's and a pleasure to be around, just a good guy. When you go there he's your guy, one of the best cars buying experiences I've ever had, and I hate to shop for anything (in and out) is what I usually do. If you're in the market for a used car or truck I highly recommend Chapman and you gotta (New Yorker) to have Ray take care of you I promise you won't regret it. PS. This is for upper management at Chapman, get Ray the gold leaf plaque he deserves not the one with sharpie writing on it. Their parts department is absolutely worthless. They have me on hold for 10 minutes and a lady keeps quickly popping up and saying "parts please hold" as if I don't already know after 10 minutes. I hang up and call back and the front reception lady kept trying to push me through but it just goes back to her and she doesn't know it so of course she goes through the whole speal again. Finally I let her know how frustrated I am and she says she is going to transfer me to the "back parts counter". I finally get through and I ask the guy to look up a certain part number and he says please hold as he proceeds to try and transfer me to the parts department. I GIVE UP.. read more

My husband and I were in the market of buying a new car before our new baby was born. My husband called up Chapman Chevrolet and Stephanie answered the phone, we were able to make an appointment with her the next day to look at cars. Once we arrived and met up with her we already knew this dealership and Stephanie were going to be a great match for us. We told her we were looking for something in our price range, big enough to hold our 3 dogs and our soon to be new baby. We spent an hour or so looking around at the different options provided to us and I was surprisingly shocked at how many selections were offered and available to us.
