    Old Fashioned with "Blues" Bourbon.

Fantastic choice during my recent Anaheim visit! I found this cocktail bar/popup kitchen concept on accident while visiting a local brewery. Situated towards the back of a courtyard labeled "Make", Stone Groove Stillhoise is a dark, welcoming room with a long bar, ample tables around the room, and a steel countered kitchen at the back. All their whiskey cocktails are made with their bottles (MGP sourced for now) that have been aged using music (ask one of the bartenders for the story... very cool!). I tried their whiskey flight (American Single Malt (jazz), Bourbon (country), Bourbon (blues), and Rye (classic rock)). The music type listed is what was used to "shape" the tasting notes. Music is played over a cool hi-fi (not too loud), and the ambience is a speak-easy vibe. The food menu is not large, but it works. I had the slider and potato wedges and it hit the spot! They have been open about 10 months (July 2025) and really seem to have it together. If you like whiskey or this type of spot, you MUST try Stone Groove Stillhouse on your next Anaheim visit.

Talk about an atmosphere!!! This was a full experience. Waitress walked is through the concept of the stillhouse and the menu. Food and drinks were out of this world!!! A+ date night!! Can't wait to go back.

One of my favorite lowkey places I have discovered!! This is a gem. With incredible attention to detail and passion for the craft, Stone Groove combines artistry with every aspect of cocktail service. I had not tried any of the food but trust me I will be back for it!! The specialty cocktails were amazing (specifically Tragic Kingdom & In for the Kill) and creatively named. Our bartender Jimmy (?) was so knowledgeable and helpful - made our experience amazing!! Even the ability to make classic cocktails into something special. The ambience is perfected with real tapes playing & a range of genres throughout the week. I cannot wait until next time I can come by

I've been following this place for a couple months now. But haven't been able to come due to our schedules. Today, I made a reservation for dinner. Everything was good. Enjoyed our drinks. Wifey ordered a drink but was too strong and we asked our server for a different one that she liked. Thank you to our server for accommodating us.

The food here is delicious, the Groovin' Papas was good and also so was the Mac N Cheese (not pictured). They have a selection of drinks, I recommend the Tragic Kingdom. The service was on par and treated us very well. Apologized for forgetting missing drinks and wrong foods as well. I will say the ambience is very nice in here, very clean and well put together, you can even see the kegs through a glass window. It has great lighting and really sets the mood.

Stopped in for an early dinner after calling to make reservations, open table would only let me reserve a bar space for 5:30, we had 2 under 21 so I figured bar wouldn't work. Drove over and valet parked in the old free lot behind the restaurant, easy, 9$. Sat a table for 6 right next to the check in table. Gabby was our server and she did a fabulous job. Kids were "starving", so I ordered 4 of the 5 apps, then we ordered a few main items and ate family style. Highlights were sliders, shrimp and honey, see picture of receipt, highlighted the winners. Always a wonderful time here, it is the best experience in the packing house group.

Whiskey lovers: this is no gimmick. Stone Groove stillhouse brings the magic of music to your whiskey, and let me tell you- it IS magic. Their whiskey "listens" to different genres of music and each one, really, does taste different. I highly recommend the Blues Bourbon, it's smooth, robust, full and delicious. The dining room/bar is cozy, moody, you'll feel like you're sitting in a universe somewhere between retro sound studio, speakeasy and mancave. The service you'll get here is great, and it seems each member of the team has a real passion for the Stillhouse. I came here for my birthday, they accommodated our party of 10 and everyone- even the ladies who might not be big whiskey fans- loved their drinks. 6 of us got the whiskey flights, I highly highly recommend you do this if it's your first time, you will not be disappointed by anything on the flight. The food was so good, from the apps to the main dishes and to the desserts everything was absolutely great. I got the papas and the burger for myself, both fantastic. Our table was hosted by Christa, who owns the stillhouse with her husband Jeff, they are so warm and welcoming, Jeff even came over to talk with our table and welcome us. They are great hosts with a big passion for their work and product- and it shows. Go to Stone Groove Stillhouse,

I downright love this place. Looking for that classic cocktail bar vibe. Love the giant stills in the background for decoration tons of music themed decor, that ties into the whiskey. I got there pretty good night wasn't busy. They hooked me up with a good seat at the bar for my friends and I while I waited. Saw on yelp that people recommended the Velvet Elvis with Green apples. It was so good and refreshing clear. It comes on a tall glass started my day out with one of them and finished the evening with another one. The other drink that people recommended I was a little hesitant to try, the Tragic Kingdom, i'm not a huge Creamsicle fan, however, you wouldn't have known if you hadn't read the description. It was again very refreshing, bright, red color, and delicious. My buddy even ordered a mock tail, and he put one together kind of based off of one of their drinks with some fresh honeycomb in there. My buddy and I did the four whiskey flight. His favorite was the rye and mine was the blues. They'll definitely walk you through the story behind it but the country and the blues bourbon are the same mash bill, they just played different music to churn bourbon as ages. Tried a pretty good sampling of the food. Really liked the Grovin papas and the Miso Shrimp. Tried the mushrooms as well and they're pretty tasty, just not necessarily my jam. The cheeseboard looked good, but maybe of the things we got it seemed like the least bang for your buck. Definitely a new favorite place of mine. Great place for whiskey and to catch up with old friends.

When I tell you this is one of the best places in California I mean it. I've eaten all over this state and the food and service is stand out. Their burger is truly the truth. Also, don't sleep on the baked Brie. The service from the barbers Matt to the greeting from the owner Christie, Gabe Gabby and Matt make this a must stop place anytime you're in Southern California. And it's absolutely beautiful!!!

Absolutely impressed by this place! The dark & romantic ambience, the music, the uniquely crafted cocktails, the top-notch service, the delicious food, and the overall vibes makes Stone Groove a perfect date night spot! I tried a few of their specialty drinks, but I will have to say the In For The Kill was probably my favorite (which is surprising since I usually can't stand anything banana but this drink was so tasty! I'd definitely recommend it!) We also tried their music-infused bourbon & whiskey flight which was such a cool experience! Definitely a must try if you are a whiskey drinker! We actually weren't too hungry so we shared their Queen Caesar salad and their Return of the Mac with chicken, both were excellent dishes and the perfect portion size. This place is truly a gem and I can't wait to come back!

    Whiskey Tasting
    Terri B.

Stone Groove Stillhouse has a whole new take on distilling whiskey, with sound waves, who knew. What is interesting is the different flavors of each one. I am not a whiskey person, but did take sips of Mr. B's taster's and each one has a different taste. We had a reservation and were immediately greeted by Gabby who was very friendly. She had our table all set up, and we took our seats and waited for the other two who were joining us. The interior is modern, but feels very cozy. The lighting is dim, but bright enough. We were very comfortable. Gabby came right back to ask if we had any questions, and she explained each cocktail on the menu and was very helpful matching our tastes to the drinks. Mr. B started with a taster of each one, the Jazz Single Malt, the Country, Blues, and the fourth was The Rock and Roll Rye. His favorite was the country whiskey. With the taster's finished off, he ordered an old fashioned with the country whiskey and loved it. I had the Tragic Kingdom cocktail that was like an orange creamsicle, and was delicious. Let the food ordering begin. We really wanted light bites, so ordered the Mac and Cheese, the Groovin' Papas, Honey Miso Shrimp, "Country Bourbon" Glazed Carrots and the Crispy Mushrooms and Marinated Olives. Everything was so flavorful, expertly seasoned and when we asked each other what was a favorite, no one could pick just one. They were all fantastic. I will say the portions aren't large, they are small bites, but three in our group were still feeling hungry, so ordered two burgers to be split between them, and they devoured the burgers and said they were great. Stone Groove is located in the Make building across from the Anaheim Packing House, just behind Unsung Brewing. Parking up there around the Packing House is a nightmare honestly. So plan extra time to find parking. We always seem to find parking on one of the side streets and walking a short distance. The staff at Stone Groove, worked really hard to make sure everyone has a good time, and enjoys the drinks and food. We had a really fun and memorable evening for the holidays.

Hands down one of the coolest, most well-executed restaurant and bar concepts I've been to in Orange County. From the moment you walk in, the vibe immediately reminds me of the listening bars that originated in Japan. It's immersive, intentional, and just cool without trying too hard. The food and cocktails are where this place really separates itself. My fiancé and I will regularly drive over an hour to LA or San Diego for great dining experiences, and usually you have to compromise. Incredible cocktails but average food, or amazing food with a forgettable bar program. This place somehow nails both at an exceptionally high level. I travel quite a bit and have been to some of the world's top cocktail bars and Michelin-starred restaurants, and it honestly blew me away that a spot like this exists locally. The level of detail, creativity, and execution across both the menu and drink program is rare. The service was next level. We sat at the bar and Jimmy took amazing care of us, walking us through everything with real thoughtfulness and passion. We also had the chance to meet Krista, the owner, who was incredibly gracious and welcoming. We went on a Tuesday night and ordered the smoked carrot tacos, wagyu sliders, honey shrimp, and baked Alaska for dessert. Every single dish was outstanding. For drinks, I did the Side A / Side B bourbon tasting, which was such a unique experience. I genuinely couldn't believe how much the flavor profile shifted depending on the music being played while in the barrel. You'll know what I'm talking about when you come here. I also had the clear old fashioned, which was one of the most memorable cocktails I've had in a long time. The experience was so good that we were already texting all of our friends while we were still there. We already booked another visit in a few days with a group just so we can try more of the menu. Everything about this place exceeded expectations. Easily one of the best spots I've been to in Orange County since moving here in 2020. Cannot recommend it enough.

Made reservations for a Friday night. Keep in mind, this is located right across from the Packing House and parking gets realllllly bad in the area during lunch and dinner hours, so give yourself enough time to find a spot! Partner ordered a whiskey flight, and I ordered a burger (not a whiskey drinker). Burger was delicious - great flavors, and I loved the pickle. I only wish there were smaller dishes/snacks to munch on, like fries or tots. Light bites. Partner appreciated the process to make the whiskey, but since the bottles are still super young the taste/flavors aren't quite there yet. Great ambiance and service.

I didn't realize I was at the wrong place until I looked at the menu. The two spots are right next to each other, have similar aesthetics, and are easy to mix up. Since I was already there (and starving), I decided to stay. The spooky decor is totally my vibe, so I was happy to give it a shot. The food was decent not bad by any means, but it didn't have that wow factor. I've definitely had better steaks and mac & cheese, but everything was cooked fine and tasted good. The drinks were solid, and I liked the cocktail selection. What really impressed me was the happy hour. BOGO drinks plus two free sides with the steak is a pretty great deal these days. The steak was a little pricey for the quality, but honestly, what isn't expensive anymore.... Service was good. My waitress was attentive, though to be fair I was the only customer there at the time. My only real complaint is that the place felt a little quiet. With the spooky theme, some music would really help set the mood and elevate the atmosphere. Overall, this ended up being a pleasant surprise. I'd recommend it for food and drinks, and I personally enjoyed it much more than Villains Brewery (you can read my review on that one... no bueno). Not sure if the two businesses are connected, but I had a good experience at one and a bad experience at the other. ‍

On our recent trip to Disneyland, and as guests of the Disneyland Hotel, I learned of The Broken…read moreSpell Lounge just a day prior to arrival in Anaheim. This is a lovely Sleeping Beauty forrested theme lounge, and while it is small, we had no issue in waiting for a table both times we visited this Lounge. We went to the Broken Spell on our day of arrival, and David was an excellent server! I already knew I was going to order the charcuterie pizza, and asked David for a recommendation on cocktails. David recommended the Raven's Wing, and the presentation and smokey flavor did NOT disappoint. The charcuterie pizza was delicious and large enough to satisfy the appetite of two people with leftovers. I also tried the Benevolent Fairy drink which comes in three seperate potion glasses and was so much fun. While it was a great drink, I preferred the Raven's Wing! Server David was very kind and very attentive, checking on us regularly to ensure a great experience. On our last day, we stopped in on our way to the airport so we had our luggage. We were immediately seated, and greeted by a server named Gloria. When she saw our bags, she thought we were just arriving, and gave a very detailed rundown of the cocktails and food. We were only there for one last round of the Raven's Wing cocktail, and were promptly served given our time constraints. I look forward to returning to The Broken Spell Lounge!

It was 5 o'clock somewhere lol…read more This bar has prime real estate inside the great, Anaheim packing district. (The Anaheim packing district has private parking and it's easy to find a spot during the week. On the weekend, it's another story) You basically run right into the hammer bar when you enter from the main entrance. It's nothing fancy, gives off hipster vibes and is cool without trying to be cool. The two bartenders Josh and Xavier were amazing I came here around prime lunch time. I went and asked one of the bartenders, since they do not serve food if it was ok to bring some pastries inside and eat them with my drink. (There's a pastry place right next to the hammer bar) They said since it was a weekday and not busy I could bring something in. So I went and grabbed some food and sat there while drinking my drinks. They have bar seating and then they have hightop tables as well I asked them for some recommendations. Josh and Xavier both recommended The zombie (kept warning me that it was extremely strong. So I stayed away from that. Even though I'm confident I could handle it) The banana clip The pool noodle (I told them I needed it to be pretty / cool looking too, lol) I went with the pool noodle -Plantaray Pineapple Rum, Rhum J.M. Agricole, guava, apricot, lime and cava. AND, let me tell you, this was delicious AND looked amazing 10/10 Then I went with the banana clip- Old Forester 100 Proof Bourbon, banana, mandarine, cinnamon, pineapple and lemon. 10/10, I loved it To be honest all the drinks sounded great. If I wasn't planning on going to other places and walking around the packing district, I would have just stayed at this bar and had a few more lol. Prices were extremely reasonable as well The service that Josh and Xavier provided was phenomenal 10/10. They were friendly and knowledgeable. They answered all the questions I had They also have mocktails, beer and wine. I highly recommend coming here for a drink if you are coming to the Anaheim Packing district. Or stay here for a while. I could have definitely stayed longer and tried more. I'll definitely be back next time I am in the area (On the menu it says they offer gift cards. So it would be perfect for any friends that live by this place and appreciate a cool bar)

They were playing some great 90s tunes and watching them make drinks, talk a little shit, and have fun was great to watch! I only had a single beer (local lager that the bartender recommended) as I was waiting for a reservation at another spot, but I'll definitely stop here again the next time I'm in the area.
