We found Stone Groove on accident looking for whiskey tastings and WOW DID WE LUCK OUT! Amazing experience front to back! The hostess explained their whole shtick: in-house distilled spirits that are infused with music to change the flavor profile. It SOUNDS crazy...until you order a flight and taste their two burbons side by side: same bourbon, different music, different tasting notes. Totally crazy experience! For cocktail lovers, they are doing some really cool stuff there. I got 2 savory cocktails (Mariposa & Aquatinted), the former was more my speed, but I always appreciate when restaurants experiment more in the savories for cocktails. Their signature list has many unique flavor combinations, and I'm looking forward to our next visit to try more! Food-wise: no misses for us. We debated going for a bunch of small plates (easily doable with their menu), but the sea bass was calling to us. Split that + the Wagyu Short Rib. Both were delicious, but the Wagyu was a little under salted for me. The smoked carrot conift actually stole the show on that dish - we're definitely going to try the carrot appetizer next time we're there! Dessert: Both full desserts looked great (their 3rd dessert right now is a cocktail - also cool!), but we opted for the Baked Alaska. DELICIOUS! The dish was stellar, but the cherry sauce with it took it to the next level. Ambiance: Great vibes. They have a live DJ Fridays and Saturdays, and the music was present but not overwhelming for me. Initially tried August 12, sister of Martini, but it was a lilllll too strong for me. Our AMAZING bartender recommended Tragic Kingdom (^) and it was delish!! We had dinner here for our anniversary, it was nice! It's dark, it's moody, music is excellent, service was great. Between the two of us we had 4 cocktails and a whiskey flight. Husband is the whiskey fan and he enjoyed the flight, it was definitely interesting to see how the music changed the two dueling whiskey flavor profiles. The cocktails were great, our favorite out of the 4 we had was the Boulevardier. We started with the Duck Pot Pie Croquettes in a Portola Coffee gravy. I didn't pick up much coffee flavor, but what I tasted, I liked. The croquettes were piping hot, topped with delicious pickled onions and celery. We couldn't get enough of that gravy! Next up were the Warm Caesar Brussels, adorned with a beautiful corn tuile, so pretty! This was super tasty, we could have eaten two plates of this dish. For dinner I wanted the short ribs, but they were out. So I asked for the sea bass, they were out. I was bummed cause those were the two items calling my name. Waitress suggested the Chicken Milanese, so I went with that. The chicken was fantastic, so crispy and juicy with a honey mustard sauce underneath. I personally do not love arugula and there was SO MUCH of it on top of the chicken, it was a full blown salad. It also had "fennel and apple" in it, but I only found one piece of apple, it was all fennel. Chicken was great, the salad on top wasn't for me. Husband had their Wagyu sliders with black garlic aioli and caramelized onions, they were great! When we were done and asked for the check, the waitress said she heard us mention it was our anniversary, so she brought us two sweet, fruity "anniversary shots" with candles on top for our celebration. That was so nice of her, and the shots were tasty! I definitely want to come back to try more of the food. I hope the entrees I want are available next time we come. Every dish I tried was really unique and different in the most unexpected amazing way. This is now my favorite restaurant of the moment! *Cheese & Bread: Delicious brie, I loved the pistachios and flowers. *Chicken & Lemongrass: I cannot tell you how much I love the light crispyness of the skin and the flavor. This is the BEST chicken wings I've ever had in my life! *Short ribs: These fell right off the fork so tender and were quite tasty but what was most impressive is the balance between all the items in the dish. The smoked carrots were nothing I've ever had and even the non-vegetable eater in our group loved them. *Key Lime & Yuzu Creme Brulee: This looks like a creme brulee but tastes like key lime. This dessert has now made it up to my top three. *grapefruit mocktail: the seasoning along the side of the glass really enhances the drink. however, what i noticed about all the drinks is the ice cubes. they were beautifully square shaped and the most clear ice cubes i've ever seen in my life. why am i so excited about ice cubes? i learned they're special ice cubes from Japan! I guess my experience is not similar to others. I came here with a group of 11 on a Saturday evening. Thank you to another Yelper who noted the entrance because it can be a little confusing to find. Once you are inside the "Make" building, there are several other businesses and Stone Groove is located in the back on the right side with a private entrance. We sat at two tables near the front entrance. The inside is on the darker side and the music is loud enough where it's hard to hear conversations. Service was great. Our server made sure we had ice and made sure we had everything we needed. She and the rest of the staff get four stars. To drink; I ordered the grapefruit fizzy mocktail. It was good but there is a smoky, salty seasoning on the entire glass so you get it all over your fingers. The water glasses are very small. The food was not quite what I expected. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing. I got the Duo of Wagyu Sliders. There was no seasoning or flavor whatsoever. I don't know if this was intentional to highlight the beef but it was very bland. If you're hungry, order more than the duo. For dessert, I shared the key lime yuzu creme brûlée. This was very tasty and well done. It was probably the best thing I had. Like others mentioned, parking is challenging and we ended up parking in a residential area and walking. What a perfect date night or night out in general! Stone Groove Stillhouse is located across from the main Anaheim Packing building. So you can park on the streets or they do have valet at the main lot. Always so convenient! Walk across the street and enter the MAKE building. It's on the right after the brewery as you walk in. We were greeted immediately by the host, she was super sweet and even gave us a quick "tour" of how they make their spirits. They use music sounds to "agitate" the liquid. Super cool! We reserved bar top seating to take advantage of their happy hour and it did not disappoint. The bartenders are AMAZING. Love watching them make the drinks and chatting with them. The drinks and food came out in a timely manner and were fantastic! We were given a little treat, popping sorghum, never had it but now craving it! The old fashioneds were top notch. The happy hour sliders, amazing and tasty. Those potato fries were huge and flavorful. We were told they are fried in beef marrow! Yummy! The ranch was also a bit different but very tasty! We had to try the baked alaska and the presentation of setting it on fire was so much fun. It was super tasty and ate it all up! Loved the low lighting and the vibe. Fantastic choice during my recent Anaheim visit! I found this cocktail bar/popup kitchen concept on accident while visiting a local brewery. Situated towards the back of a courtyard labeled "Make", Stone Groove Stillhoise is a dark, welcoming room with a long bar, ample tables around the room, and a steel countered kitchen at the back. All their whiskey cocktails are made with their bottles (MGP sourced for now) that have been aged using music (ask one of the bartenders for the story... very cool!). I tried their whiskey flight (American Single Malt (jazz), Bourbon (country), Bourbon (blues), and Rye (classic rock)). The music type listed is what was used to "shape" the tasting notes. Music is played over a cool hi-fi (not too loud), and the ambience is a speak-easy vibe. The food menu is not large, but it works. I had the slider and potato wedges and it hit the spot! They have been open about 10 months (July 2025) and really seem to have it together. We didn't get to try any of the food while we were there since we had eaten at the packing house but the drinks were fantastic. I downright love this place. Looking for that classic cocktail bar vibe. Love the giant stills in the background for decoration tons of music themed decor, that ties into the whiskey. I got there pretty good night wasn't busy. They hooked me up with a good seat at the bar for my friends and I while I waited. Saw on yelp that people recommended the Velvet Elvis with Green apples. It was so good and refreshing clear. It comes on a tall glass started my day out with one of them and finished the evening with another one. The other drink that people recommended I was a little hesitant to try, the Tragic Kingdom, i'm not a huge Creamsicle fan, however, you wouldn't have known if you hadn't read the description. It was again very refreshing, bright, red color, and delicious. My buddy even ordered a mock tail, and he put one together kind of based off of one of their drinks with some fresh honeycomb in there. My buddy and I did the four whiskey flight. His favorite was the rye and mine was the blues. They'll definitely walk you through the story behind it but the country and the blues bourbon are the same mash bill, they just played different music to churn bourbon as ages. Tried a pretty good sampling of the food. Really liked the Grovin papas and the Miso Shrimp. Tried the mushrooms as well and they're pretty tasty, just not necessarily my jam. The cheeseboard looked good, but maybe of the things we got it seemed like the least bang for your buck. Definitely a new favorite place of mine. Stone Groove Stillhouse was an interesting experience, though overall it landed somewhere in the middle for me. There was nothing particularly bad about it, but nothing that made me especially eager to return either. The ambiance was cool, and I liked the overall music-inspired theme. My favorite touch was the selection of vinyl records guests could choose from and ask the host to play while dining or having drinks. That made the space feel unique and interactive. The bartenders, however, did not give off a particularly warm or welcoming energy. One was clearly knowledgeable about spirits and the craft, but also came across as somewhat snooty. I am fairly comfortable discussing whiskey, but I think someone who was completely new to spirits might feel intimidated or uncomfortable asking questions. The main concept behind the bar is that sound waves are played while the whiskey ages in barrels, with each bottled whiskey supposedly differing based on the sounds used during the aging process. It is a cool story and an interesting marketing concept, but personally, it felt a little gimmicky to me. This is a fun place across the street from the Packing District. The music theme is done very well, and blends into the drinks (no pun intended). The whiskeys are literally infused with music, and you're invited to taste the difference between batches in which the only difference was the music that was played through the cask. It's a very interesting and novel approach. But the important thing is how the whiskey tastes- and they're all pretty good. Personally the Jazz Fusion is my current favorite. The food is the big star here. I've had quite a few different dishes here, and they all have been very well made and delicious. The service is good, and you can tell that the people are proud of the food and drinks they make. Catching a chat with the chef, distiller, owner, or bartender, they share their pride in their work. Stone Groove Stillhouse has a whole new take on distilling whiskey, with sound waves, who knew. What is interesting is the different flavors of each one. I am not a whiskey person, but did take sips of Mr. B's taster's and each one has a different taste. We had a reservation and were immediately greeted by Gabby who was very friendly. She had our table all set up, and we took our seats and waited for the other two who were joining us. The interior is modern, but feels very cozy. The lighting is dim, but bright enough. We were very comfortable. Gabby came right back to ask if we had any questions, and she explained each cocktail on the menu and was very helpful matching our tastes to the drinks. Mr. B started with a taster of each one, the Jazz Single Malt, the Country, Blues, and the fourth was The Rock and Roll Rye. His favorite was the country whiskey. With the taster's finished off, he ordered an old fashioned with the country whiskey and loved it. I had the Tragic Kingdom cocktail that was like an orange creamsicle, and was delicious. Let the food ordering begin. We really wanted light bites, so ordered the Mac and Cheese, the Groovin' Papas, Honey Miso Shrimp, "Country Bourbon" Glazed Carrots and the Crispy Mushrooms and Marinated Olives. Everything was so flavorful, expertly seasoned and when we asked each other what was a favorite, no one could pick just one. They were all fantastic. I will say the portions aren't large, they are small bites, but three in our group were still feeling hungry, so ordered two burgers to be split between them, and they devoured the burgers and said they were great. Stone Groove is located in the Make building across from the Anaheim Packing House, just behind Unsung Brewing. Parking up there around the Packing House is a nightmare honestly. So plan extra time to find parking. We always seem to find parking on one of the side streets and walking a short distance. I recently had the chance to come here for a friend's birthday party. They were able to accommodate a large party and were kind enough to divide our checks. Found a very nice and chill bar called Stone Groove Stillhouse. Located in Anaheim (Orange County), across the street from The Packing House. It's known for their amazing and unique drink, that includes those tasty Tragic Kingdom, and also some amazing choice of food. I came here on Thursday night for something different for a change. As I walk inside the building, it's so fancy and chilled. Probably the cleanest bar and restaurant I've ever been. The host (which I later found out it's one of the owner) Christa, greeted me with a warm welcome. What a great personality!!! She seated me right away. Drink: I looked at the drink menu, they got some amazing and unique drinks I can ever imagine. For me personally, I'm more of the fruity drink kinda guy. I opted for this one drink in particular. They named this drink after a 1995 album by Anaheim very own.... No Doubt. The album is called Tragic Kingdom. I ordered that. As I got the drink, great presentation, small, but very tasty. Delicious and high quality are keys for great drinks. And I've made sure I got my coke (Mexican glass bottle) before I leave the building. Food: Now time for the good stuff. After carefully looking at the menu, I got the burger and mac n cheese. I started with the mac n cheese. Presentation is nice. Out of all places I've ever been to for that stuff, this one is soooo darn good. Best tasty Mac n cheese I've had in a long time. I could have steak or chicken in it, but since I've ordered a burger too, no need for that. And speaking of burger, the presentation of the burger is super nice. Took a bite of that thing. This place is the coolest!! Incredibly cool, crisp, clean vibes. It was pretty busy on a Sunday night. I'd recommend making a reservation just in case! They're located at MAKE (across from the Anaheim Packing House), so parking is...not the best. We were about 15 min late for our reservation but the team was super understanding and gave us our choice between table and bar. We were just doing drinks. Partner got Velvet Elvis (bourbon & green apple) and I got Tragic Kingdom (creamsicle vodka, vanilla, orange). I usually am not a whiskey fan but the Velvet Elvis was AMAZING! New place alert! Hubby was scouting out spots for a potential bday celebration and we came across this place. The old me would have taken charge and looked up the location etc. but not this new, carefree me! So little did we know that this was in the MAKE venue next door to the Anaheim Packing District. Thankfully, we stumbled on a parking lot that wasn't too far away for the APD. Tuesday nights, amiright? This place is nice and intimate. The theme is music and we happened to stumble in on "Bring your own vinyl" night. We're lame, we don't have any but after that evening, it's definitely something I'm interested in! It's kind of an odd-shaped place, like a dog legged golf course hole. Booths along the wall on one side and the bar and distillery on the other. It was a "school night" so hubby ordered the flight at my urging (first visit, highly touted bourbons made with different music, etc etc.) and I ordered the Electric Love cocktail (peach yogurt notes). We were both surprised at the difference in the same bourbon subject to different music genres! So crazy. For food, we ordered the Queen's Caesar, the Mushrooms Al Pastor, the Groovin' Potatoes, burger and the Harissa steak. Honestly, nothing disappointed. I liked the burger more than hubby did (probably could have used a flavor pop of something). I thought the burger was nice and meaty. Hubby said his fave of the night was the salad but mine were the mushrooms and the steak. The mushrooms were surprisingly meaty and super flavorful. The steak was perfectly seasoned and cooked though I would say the average person might find it pretty spicy. Everyone was super nice and informative. Definitely will be back and bringing people! Where do I begin... The vibe, the food, the cocktails, the service, the ambiance. All hit the mark. Chances are most will flock here to experience the music infused whiskey, as they should, but I'll start with the food which was exceptional. The Harissa Steak Frites was beyond delicious. Maybe the best steak I've ever had and given the long list of steakhouses I've dined at, that says a lot. The Spanish Octopus was equally delicious and according to another member of our party, their hamburger is the "best they ever had." Everyone is so polite and excited to welcome you, from the owner to the artisan bartender. In fact I can't remember a time we had so many conversations with the staff of a restaurant. The atmosphere is similar to that of a speakeasy. Great music adds to the mood and apparently to the taste of the whiskey itself. And about the spirits. The whiskey flight is a must. And so are their signature cocktails. In closing, I'd just add that this place is worth the drive for anyone in Orange County and beyond. Highest recommendations. read more

Hands down one of the coolest, most well-executed restaurant and bar concepts I've been to in Orange County. From the moment you walk in, the vibe immediately reminds me of the listening bars that originated in Japan. It's immersive, intentional, and just cool without trying too hard. The food and cocktails are where this place really separates itself. My fiancé and I will regularly drive over an hour to LA or San Diego for great dining experiences, and usually you have to compromise. Incredible cocktails but average food, or amazing food with a forgettable bar program. This place somehow nails both at an exceptionally high level. I travel quite a bit and have been to some of the world's top cocktail bars and Michelin-starred restaurants, and it honestly blew me away that a spot like this exists locally. The level of detail, creativity, and execution across both the menu and drink program is rare. The service was next level. We sat at the bar and Jimmy took amazing care of us, walking us through everything with real thoughtfulness and passion. We also had the chance to meet Krista, the owner, who was incredibly gracious and welcoming. We went on a Tuesday night and ordered the smoked carrot tacos, wagyu sliders, honey shrimp, and baked Alaska for dessert. Every single dish was outstanding. For drinks, I did the Side A / Side B bourbon tasting, which was such a unique experience. I genuinely couldn't believe how much the flavor profile shifted depending on the music being played while in the barrel. You'll know what I'm talking about when you come here. I also had the clear old fashioned, which was one of the most memorable cocktails I've had in a long time. The experience was so good that we were already texting all of our friends while we were still there. We already booked another visit in a few days with a group just so we can try more of the menu. Everything about this place exceeded expectations. Easily one of the best spots I've been to in Orange County since moving here in 2020. Cannot recommend it enough. read more

This restaurant was so surprising. I cannot believe how beautiful it was. Decorated so tastefully with speakers and distilling equipment. Odd combo but it works. They have an open kitchen where u can watch the magic happen. When we arrive we're were given a small tour with a little story about the concept of the restaurant. Our server was so nice and constantly checking on us. The food was FANTASTIC! The crispy mushrooms were like Al pastor flavors with little bits of pineapple under the shrooms and I absolutely loved it. The short rib was so tender and delicious. The cocktails were the kind I love, well made with in house ingredients put in a glass with that special clear ice. I truly enjoyed our dinner and would highly recommend eating here. read more
