Because I wanted clarity on their charging after hearing about their excessive overcharging he told me "if your such an expert fix it yourself". Tom knew right away that the safe could be fixed without much difficulty. He first replaced my control pad. That seemed to be working. But a few weeks later and on a day that my husband was leaving for a biz trip abroad, the safe didn't open. It was a Saturday and I was panicked. Tom responded immediately and was at our home within 20 minutes (he happened to be on a job nearby). He replaced my whole lock and waived the service charge for the visit (since he had come the first time and the first solution didn't work). The locksmith/owner took the lock and deadbolt apart and then reassembled it and checked the jam where the deadbolt sits when locked / he readjusted the jam. Tested the key himself and then had me test the mechanism inside my home and using a key outdoors. He also Tighten the screws to the front door to assure a Perfect smooth operation. I agreed and rearranged my day. At 1:18 he called to inform me he will be there soon because he was running 25 minutes late. He actually showed up shortly after 2. The problem was a key stuck in the lock. He takes a look and quotes $179. I was in disbelief so he asked me what I would like to pay and perhaps his manager will approve. He returns and informs me they will accept my price. He proceeds to fix my lock in literally less than 2 minutes (I actually timed him) and takes my still ridiculously high offer. I'm convinced the locksmith was completely aware that it was only a 2 minute job, preyed on me and scammed me for as much money as possible.
