My experience with Charles Young was nothing less than outsiding! I had what I considered a small job. My house Address lights shorted out along with my "RING" device when I tried to replace a burned out light. Replaced the lights with new lights then check breaker. Nothing. Called Charles Young and he answered the phone. Explained the situation he asked me a couple of easy questions then explained what he thought it may be. Gave me a price which was very fair and his first available time. Got a call from Charles just a day or two after I talked to him he told me one of his people had time to come over and I said yes! I have engaged Charles Young electric 3x in the 12 months. First was to install LED shop lights in my garage at the start of the pandemic because I was using it as an office. Charles was very quick to give me a quote at a VERY reasonable price and was able to do the job immediately. His team was very professional and knowledgeable about it too. Loved the lighting in my garage. Then I called them back to install my Ring Cameras and retrofit my kitchen fluorescent can lights. What a difference! Cannot recommend Charles Young Electric. Terrible service and expensive. My issue was pretty simple, my front door light was not working. The switch would not turn the light on or off. Two guys showed up, and proceeded to yell at each other from across my house as one flipped my breakers and the other checked for power at the switch. After a while, they then said they had it fixed, but ultimately it was not. The two guys got more and more angry as they could not figure out what was wrong with the switch. Very unprofessional. In the end they repaired the light and charged me $471.50, expensive but what could I do. I paid it on site and they left. They then followed up later to say that I was mischarged and owed an additional $258! They stated that it took longer than what they originally said so I owed more. So, to repair one light, it cost me $729.50. Personally, I think that is way too much. I had planned to do more electrical work on my house but will definitely be looking elsewhere! Oh also, one of the guys stunk up my bathroom. So that's cool. read more

Messaged them through Yelp on a Sunday, wasn't expecting a response till Monday because they are closed on Sunday but they responded anyway. Got me in early the next day. Technician that came out was great we even talked about Game of Thrones and Arya taking out the Knight King last night (spoiler alert... you should have watched it already dont blame me and I'm only on episode 3 so who knows what will happen by the time you're reading this). He was able to resolve my issue fairly quickly determined an outlet had a bad neutral wire which was keeping several outlets from working. For less than $100 I can't complain at all, wish I would have called sooner as I had spent several hours trying to figure it out myself, changing the wrong outlets and shutting the power on and off a bunch of times. These guys were true professionals. The new home we bought had a number of issues upon move in. Our outlets were reverse polarized, we had unsafe ceiling lights, ungrounded outlets, ceiling fan switches that were backwards, and the bathroom had NO OUTLET! This company saved the day. The workers actually showed up an hour early because their previous job was finished sooner than expected. They finished our job in a reasonable amount of time and even were able to add something that we had not requested initially. The only problem was they left the site without cleaning up everything thoroughly (hand prints and smudges on the walls and ceiling, pencil marks, and a chip in the ceiling drywall); however, when we reported this, Charles Young promptly sent a worker back to finish cleaning up the jobsite. I have been using Charles Young for many years. I am not sure where I got their name from, that's how long I have been using them. There prices are, IMHO, very good to excellent for what they were working with... My house was built 1946/1947. Ollllld house. Recently, I had them replace original switches and plates in the entire house to GFI (?). They put ceiling fans in my dining room (2 or 3 years ago), and in 2 bedrooms. Re-wired the attic for a attic fan and electrical boxes up there. They installed 2 LED ceiling lights that are energy efficient and I now can see what I am cooking :). It was a good thing they did that because there was a faulty light fixture in the kitchen when they replaced those original light fixtures. They added an electrical outlet in the bathroom :) It's easier to use my Water Pik now. I have a day/night nightlight in there too. Re-wired some of the house. And added a place in the electrical box for the bathroom. George is the foreman, Henry and Casey are his workmen. Rhonda is the scheduler and answers the phone and also texted me. I knew when we decided to start the electrical update work, they were my first choice :) They did not let me down. If I could give this crew 10 stars, I would.
