He was professional, attentive, and friendly, keeping everything well-paced without being intrusive. For food, my wife and mother-in-law both ordered the Chicken Parmigiana, which was well-prepared, flavorful, and comforting. I had the enchiladas, and they were filling, well-seasoned, and satisfying. We also shared the queso, which continues to be consistently excellent and a must-order here. The atmosphere is comfortable and polished, making it easy to relax and enjoy the meal. Delicious oven roast half chicken. The chicken was cooked evenly and the breast was not dried out tender and very tasty. My sides were burgundy mushrooms, which were very tasty. They do have delicious mashed potatoes, but I'm not a fan of potato skins in my mashed potatoes, so I ordered creamy coleslaw - what is a sweet mayonnaise based sauce - very tasty. I like Charleston's. I really do. The food is good. But the prices are... certainly a choice... I feel like they're high for what it is. Like, $19-21 for a salad, or ~$50ish for a two people to have a quick lunch is wild. But then I look at everyone sitting around me and the NIMBY prices make sense. Not the staff. The patrons. Has a huge group meeting here. The service was excellent. I ordered a side salad, okra, and vegetable medley (I'm a vegetarian.) The okra was good, the side salad with honey lime vinaigrette was just okay but the dressing itself was delicious. The salad was just lettuce, one tomato, and croutons. The veg medley was literally boiled vegetables without a single additive. No salt, butter, nothing. I'd definitely pass on those. It was quite expensive and I'm not sure my three sides warranted a $26 total. That said, the atmosphere and service were great. If I were a meat eater this may have been a better experience but with what I ordered, I wasn't impressed. (My friends mostly loved their food. I just didn't have the best experience.) read more

It's not often I come to Charleston's, it's not because I don't like it but it's hard to get in my restaurant rotation. Last time dining here was 2023. This was always a work favorite to host a vendor luncheon or to have just a get together with coworkers. Needless to say I've dined here many many times. I've tried everyone of their salads and numerous entrees. I've never had a bad experience. However, I do not have an overall favorite. Today's option was to choose a sandwich. Earlier in the week I had a Reuben up in Tulsa and I was left unsatisfied. So time for a do over! This Reuben was much better than the earlier version I had. I love the fact that the dressing comes on the side and you can add or dip add you go. Plenty of sauerkraut and pastrami. I would have preferred the pastrami to be sliced much thinner but that's my personal preference. The Creamy Coleslaw was a nice addition. It was cold and fresh and paired well with the sandwich. The one thing I dislike is the noisy atmosphere. I get it there is nothing that can be done about that so just have to deal with it. It's hard to converse if it's a large group. Big shout to the servers!!! Dillon was our main server and I think he did a tremendous job with our table of nine! Those who assisted him were just as great as they quickly removed the plates from the meal. I love coming to this place. The food is always good and the service goes above and beyond. I normally always get a spinach artichoke dip to start. It's worth it! I tried a the grilled chicken club today. It was very delicious and flavor. The fries were crispy and salty too. The restaurant is always clean and welcoming. read more

I've eaten here probably 40 times, and I've never had a bad experience. Consistently excellent service and quality food.

I wasn't super hungry and so I decided to try their soup of the day. Well... that was a great decision! It was clam chowder and man was it yummy. Service was outstanding. They kept my drinks full and if I asked for extra ranch or a lid or whatever I swear they got it to me in under 2 minutes. Great restaurant, great food, great service. I love the ambiance. Heartbroken to find they've gotten rid of the Chicken Fried Steak. Definitely my all time favorite meal at Charleston's. Came in for a nice family dinner. We usually always start our meal off with spinach artichoke dip which is always tasty. I ordered the chicken fried chicken which has replaced the chicken fried steak and it was very thin chicken, more batter than anything. We enjoyed the complimentary bread (odd, because I've been to Charlestons over 20 times and I've never been offered this? It's a secret apparently.) classic sides for me are the glazed carrots and mashed potatoes, can't go wrong with these. read more

Waitlist heads up: We showed up after putting our name on waitlist through yelp and they said they don't use that waitlist . We were then put on another list. It would be helpful to remove this option from Yelp profile if this location doesn't use it. Shayla was our server and she was spectacular. I'm not just saying that, she was literally predicting our needs before we could even verbalize them. She also explained each menu item in detail with expert recommendations. First I would like to say that our server, Angela, was outstanding. She was prompt, friendly, provided recommendations, and kept us in the loop as to what was going on. (She explained they were in the middle of a shift change and so she had us outside of her section. There was also a very large party waiting.) My boyfriend and I ordered the dynamite shrimp salad and chicken salad. The shrimp was very good and it was a great portion but he didn't love the dressing. The chicken on my salad was a little dry but I enjoyed my champagne dressing and other goodies in my salad. While visiting my grandparents they took me here for lunch. I was starving since I had just gotten off my flight. I ordered the french dip. The meat was cold, chewy and bland. The au ju tasted like dirty water. I give one star for the cole slaw being decent. Worst french dip I have ever had. read more

Let me quickly say if you haven't read my other Charleston post you should read it for context. With that said, after speaking with Chris about my last experience, my wife and I gave Charlestons another go. Chris was super nice and I hope the feedback I was able to give him about last time and this time will help him to be successful. We did go to a different Charlestons this time to also see if a different location would change our rating. This time we went to the one on Memorial. We did have to wait a few minutes to be seating not any kinda of excessive amount and the time the hostess had advised us of. Once we were sat our waitress McKenna came and took our appetizer order and drink order. She also mumbled off so daily specials. Neither me or my wife were able to understand. When she came back to take our dinner order we asked about the Hawaiian steak I think is what she called it and she rattled off what the ingredients were but no price and no recommendation or attempt to close the sale. We decided that I would have the sirloin steak And trade my potato for the seasonal vegetable and house salad with balsamic vinaigrette. My wife ordered the Parmesan cheese crusted chicken. Our appetizer came which was the spinach artichoke dip. It also came with a side of salsa and sour cream. We both thought the sour cream was an odd thing. The spinach dip was not bad but was lacking something. My wife said she wished it had more cheese and was a bit more creamy. She also thought the ingredients should have been chopped smaller to make it easier to eat mainly because the chips provided kept breaking because they could handle a very large amount of the dip. For myself I would have liked some thing to add more zing I'm not sure honestly would ray would be but while it was good it wasn't memorable. Also I would suggest instead a of crisps to use a toasted bread or even the croissant that came with my salad as that thing was magnificent and I would easily say it was the best thing I ate that evening. Our dinners came out and I'll start with my wife's the best of her dish was the side that was the lettuce, tomato, cheese with a vinegarette I think is what it was covered with. We both agreed it was her best item. The spaghetti sauce was fine she said but the noodles were one giant lump. They would separate and she had to cut them with a fork to eat them. The chicken was good but nothing that stood out or that would make either one of us ordered it again. The execution of it was little off as there were some burnt spots on the crust from overcooking. I was hoping it would char marks. No luck with that though. I had the sirloin cut. The seasoning of the steak was very good. Not too much and not too little. I asked for it cooked medium and the chef executed my request with perfection. The seasonal vegetables were pretty tasty my only advise there is either chop the carrots larger or cook them more at so you can finish and have everything done at the same time. My carrots were way overdone and almost in a jellylike a jellylike condition. I want to add that while McKenna started out a little rough as time went on she got better and alot more friendly. Let me start off by saying, I only snapped the one photo because I was with a group of people and started eating without thinking. Everything was okay BUT my low review is because they couldn't make a good steak to save their lives. I ordered the Filet and boy was I beyond disappointed!!! I know a good steak and believe me when I tell you, Outback & TX Roadhouse can run laps around Charleston's in this category. If you serve a quality filet you shouldn't need to use any tenderizers on it but Charleston's does and it absolutely ruined the beef. The entire outside of the cut was very grainy. It completely turned me off from wanting to take another bite. What you see in the picture is what I took home to my kids. It was not tender by any means, I really had to work to cut it up. They also either add liquid smoke to their marinade or they actually smoked the steak. I love smoked meats but one thing I don't want smoke flavor on, is a quality cut of steak. I also picked up on the slightest hint of soy sauce. Big No-No for a Filet Mignon!!! They charge $40 for this garbage!!!! I wanted to send this back so bad but I saved face because I was with so many people so I just picked at the baked potato and my salad (both just okay) and took all the leftover home to my kids. After eating here many times and ordering to-go many times I'm finally writing here after today's visit to say Charleston's is doing a great job. I don't think they need my review because it's honestly objectively good and reliably consistent. Today, I came with my family (including a rambunctious 1 year old) and everything was as expected: great. The place was packed (Monday) and everyone working was very professional and friendly. The kids had burgers. I had the ribs (wonderful) with sauce on the side. Husband had chicken-fried steak (he said the gravy was out of this world). He also had an Old Fashioned and we split queso and shrimp cargo. The glazed carrots are my favorite side, sweet with a nice amount of pepper to balance it out. If you're looking for an always-good choice for dinner, this is your spot. It's nice for girls night out, dinner with family or date night. read more

Charleston's is like a sibling that has lots of aspirations, and gives more advice than they're willing to apply in their own lives This restaurant is part of a management group with many other restaurants under its umbrella. They do a really good job with their operations across the board and I think they care about their standards I really want to give Charleston's a five star review but their steaks and the grill they use is just not ideal. The meats have beautiful charred lines, but unfortunately the char is full of propane flavor. I'd add that temps are correct maybe 2/5ths of the time. Hank Hill is wrong. The grill would be outstanding if they stopped using or tremendously decreased the propane and added some wood or charcoal. Bro it would be outstanding The ambiance is upscale, and I love the wood ceiling here. Very pretty interior. Lots of parking, and you can enter from memorial eastbound or MacArthur The restaurant is good and I'm confident you'll have a great visit if you choose to eat here. Just be patient and know they want to give you good service. If you think they don't then you probably have some therapy you need to schedule because you may feel that way about all businesses. Amazing service, and perfect food! Great for parties! We had a party in their side room, hosting roughly 31 people (max 35) for 2 hours. There was a minimum purchase - completely reasonable for a nice meal for 35 people. The space was very nice, and the max count of 35 for the space available seemed appropriate. The service was AMAZING. The staff was very communicative. Drinks kept coming to keep everyone happy. One large table placed their order first, and the staff confirmed we were ok with all food coming out separately, which we appreciated. They confirmed everything appropriate, down to asking if everyone was having cake. The food was PERFECT. Absolutely perfect. I'm not sure I've had that good of restaurant food in the last 6 months! To think it came as a big group is even more impressive. The blackened salmon I had was to die for. And the glazed carrots are always amazing too. We can't be any happier with the result. I think this place is a sure bet every time you go. You know your server will be well trained and attentive, and that your meal will be a good sized portion and very tasty. Worth the money. My husband and I split the roasted chicken with glazed carrots and mashed potatoes and wow was it good! It was also huge so I'm glad we split it. My nieces Mac n cheese never came out so when the server noticed he apologized and went right back to the kitchen to see what happened.
