I have been delighted with the decision to create my second-ever review in my lifetime. This location is within a very nice setting and though I have not received my food yet, I figure I'd leave this review because I have had a note-worthy experience already. Since walking in, I instantly noticed how busy the staff are with their orders. They may have been understaffed because I only see 3 workers in the kitchen. It's not a complaint though, Mr. Blake, the face of the kitchen greeted me with kindness and informed me that it may take a few minutes to get to me. It took less than 3 minutes before my order was taken and I was delighted by their ability to get through so much and all at once. This staff deserves respect and when I consider how knowledgeable Blake is with the menu and all the variety of options for me, I can't help but to recognized greatness amongst the kitchen staff. You folks deserve to know how great you are at what you do. I applaud you and I am grateful to be at your presence. 5 star service! read more

It's sad that although this establishment has signs posted as closing at 9pm, you walk inside the restaurant at 7:43 pm and they tell you the ice cream machine that they advertise for $1 in the summertime. You walk inside the restaurant and they tell you the ice cream machine is already "on clean". More than an hour before closing. Not to mention the service at this location on Bear Valley is usually unclean and the service is horrible. They do not smile or greet you and the employees look like they're always just walking out from break but looking like they're still on their break. I generally like coming here but for this location to be the only Charley's up the hill it's sad that it's trash. Do not come here. What should have been a quick, normal visit turned into an upsetting one because of how rude a staff member was to me. the front cashier didn't have a name tag nor tell me his name. I was spoken to in a dismissive and disrespectful manner, which honestly left me feeling uncomfortable. There was no reason for the attitude, and it made the entire experience unpleasant. Customer service matters just as much as the food, and this interaction completely overshadowed everything else. OMG! We ordered the "original beef cheesesteak" sandwiches. I asked about adding 'extra meat' but the cashier with blown-out earlobes said the sandwich likes just like the one pictured on the menu. OMG! No it doesn't!! If I'm lucky, there is 1/4 to 1/3 of the meat in the photo. I was ready to order extra meat. After we got over the shock of ' almost no meat, the first bite was disastrous! Like 3-4x the expected salt. Basically inedible. I'm getting older (66), so I have already started reducing the amount of salt I use, but even my daughter and her friend said the same about their sandwiches. I've been to Philadelphia and had a real Philly Cheesesteak sandwich. Other than the basic ingredients, this has zero resemblance! I have lots of anxiety and my day was going so amazing I was spending time with my god son and my aunt and Erika had to ruin that. I visited around October 5th at 8:10 pm, well before closing, and was immediately met with attitude from the staff. We were told they were "only doing sandwiches and regular fries," and that Cajun fries were unavailable. While our order was being prepared, two female employees made comments about wanting to go home, rolled their eyes, and acted as though our presence was a burden. This behavior was not only unprofessional but made the atmosphere uncomfortable for customers. When I asked for the manager, a man named Dylan identified himself. Unfortunately, instead of improving the situation, he also participated in the comments and unprofessional behavior, which was shocking to witness from someone in a leadership role. On top of the poor service, the food was not prepared as ordered. The sandwich I received was missing buffalo sauce entirely, and the overall quality was bland and rushed. After the way the order was handled, this felt like further proof that care was not put into the food at all. Given the incorrect order, lack of professionalism from both staff and management, and overall poor food quality, I hope this issue is addressed promptly, as this experience does not reflect the standards Charleys claims to uphold. My daughter and I love potatoes, especially french fries and the fries at Charlie's are delicious! We love trying the different seasonings available for the fries. We also love the cheese fries. The service at this location is quick and the customer service is good. My only observation is the cardboard containers housing the fries. The containers did get a bit soft and soggy after the cheese fries were placed inside. The containers didn't hold their shape and began to buckle under the weight of the fries with the cheese sauce. Also when the container was moist it gave off an unpleasant scent. Because of the fries container/packaging, I have to give this location four stars. When I got there my baby fell asleep and I didn't want to have to get him out the car and wake him up. I call the store to see if they would be able to bring out my order.
