I live so close to many food options, but Charley's has become one of my guilty pleasure meals lol. It's in the food court at Flatirons Mall, and always seems to have a pretty healthy line of people that like it as much as I do. Since things have been opening back up after the mess that COVID has put the world in, they seem to be doing pretty well, and don't appear to be struggling, which is great! They've installed plexiglass in front of the register, and as many places have, there are also the normal "shields" blocking the grill and all the food from customers. I've been to this place a handful of times, and each time I have gone, I have gotten the same thing... a jalapeño cheesesteak (YUM). Adventurous, right? I'm partial to the small size, as anything larger would take up too much space in my belly, and I wouldn't have enough room for one of their fruity lemonades or the side of french fries that come with the combo!! Just like all the other times I've been, the food has been pretty darn good... heavy, but good. I usually get all the normal ingredients (tomato, mayo, lettuce, and pickle - if memory serves) and it's a nice addition to the spicy-cheesy-steaky flavor of the sandwich. The fries are nothing to write home about, but they're seasoned and have always been hot and yummy, so I have no complaints there!! I've had both their peach and strawberry lemonades, and they're - again - super yummy and refreshing. The only caveat is that you need a straw that can handle the fruit chunks at the bottom! LOL sometimes it gets stuck, which clogs up the connection between a delicious beverage and your boca, but I digress. Generally speaking, the food court is what you'd expect of any mall food court, but it's kept pretty clean, and has been more spread out since all the world has been thrown into a tizzy, but I actually like the space, so no problems here. The only things that I'm not crazy big on are that the bread seems to get pretty soggy pretty quick sometimes, and that the condiments and napkins/silverware are nowhere to be found, so there usually ends up being a small crowd of people asking for ketchup and utensils and things, which can be a little annoying. Otherwise, if you want a decent meal that will make you feel like napping, visit this place and you (probably) won't be disappointed! read more

Food is decent, prices are reasonable, customer service is questionable. I came in the evening at approximately 8:40 PM (20 minutes before close) and was denied service because it was "too late"; despite the fact that all the food was out and nothing had been packaged up or stored away for the night. They were also in the process of finishing another customers sandwich when I was at the register. I drove all the way to the mall to have one of they sandwiches, they had a good promotion running at the time. They should update their closing hours to 8:40 PM if they are unwilling to serve paying customers till 9 PM and willing to inconvenience them to leave the establishment a few minutes early. Chick-fil-a is down the street and arguably much higher quality food and customer service. I gave them my business that evening. read more

Solo, the other $erk 0ff went home. This is in the flatirons mall, the food court. So don't expect much, I watched them make my order, large cheese steak with peppers, onions and mushrooms. Large is a normal size steak to everyone else, had fries too. They need to add oil to the flat-top, the cut of meal they use is lean. It would also help to have a stock pile of veggies on the colder side of the grill or use the stove lid method for streaming. Jesus I sound like I know what I'm doing, need a better diet. Phew.. They toast the roll, and have a cold area for lettuces, tomatoes, hot peppers and such. Steak was a little dry, but adding condiments helped, it wasn't a bad steak nor was a great one. Basic steak, frozen sheets of steakums. Fries we big and not cooked in peanut oil. Drinks mix was off, soda. Now your in a food court of the flatirons mall, lower your expectations. BTW on the east coast, malls are all but dead. Here, packed on a Thursday. So just a plain old corner cheese steak, I'm sure the locals don't know better. Not Pats, Steve's, Ginos, Tony's, etc... The food tastes great but they portion sizes are stingy for the price. I had the Italian Deluxe and it was more like Italian Standard. Make sure you get the large size if you're hungry. The amount of fries I got was minimal so get the size of sandwich you want to fill you up. Side note: not a smile in the bunch of 5 people during my visit - not sure why. #1 Cheesesteak in America??? Give me a break, I've had better cheesesteaks at gas stations. Meat was dried out, bacon was not crispy, pickles were soggy. Steak was extra dry. Cheese was not melted. Food tastes great and I love their food but I saw a woman was eating/holding food in her hand and chewing while preparing my sandwhich with no gloves. And I'm assuming he was one of the managers, but he was sucking on a lollipop while taking orders and making food. The food tastes great but that's just really not sanitary and gross. For mall food it is a good place to get a sand which, but definitely not the best in the area. It's definitely not the worst either. I usually share one with my boy when we go to the mall if were hungary. The young kids running the place have always been nice and had good service. I like the bread for these subs. Crispy yet soft. They put a little too much mayo but the meat was flavorful and it went well with the pickles and and tomatoes. My favorite part about this meal was the bread. If you have good bread then it's pretty hard to mess up a sub. Cheesy fries were mediocre- nothing special about them. I handed the guy handling the till some money. The machine and my receipt says I should have gotten $0.72 back, but I only got two quarters. I let him know and he takes about a minute to think about it and then gives me $0.12 more. Wtf!?!! I had ordered a Baja sandwich. The sandwich gets to the end, looking like a normal cheese steak. The guy at the end asks me if there's anything else I want. I'm like, "Yeah, whatever the hell would make this a Baja sandwich." Pretty good especially for mall food. Bread is real good. Soft yet crunchy but not enough meat on the sandwich at all. Add more meat and this is a five star from me.
