My wife ordered a regular Chicken California combo ($16.50), and I tried the large Old School Steak combo ($23.65). Maybe a little pricy, but both sandwiches were generously filled and quite tasty, and the French fries were served hot and crispy. Soda fountain drinks with Coca Cola products, as well as a fresh brewed tea dispenser. There was a coupon on the back of my Stater Bros. receipt for this place. It was buy any regular sandwich get a free drink and fries. I was not disappointed with the Philly cheesesteak, fries, and Diet Coke. What a great deal at about $13. As you walk, in you order at the counter so service was decent. Only two employees were working and they seem to handle the 3 to 4 customers that were inside. The Phillie cheesecake was delicious, next time, however I will order it without lettuce and tomato. I feel like they wilted in the heat of the cheesesteak. All in all a decent cheesesteak at a inexpensive price. She worked for UberEasts and was picking up an order, showed the cleark the confirmation, don't know if clerk did not see or hear my niece so the idiot manager, a man, follows her outside yelling and screaming she's a theft, after she shows her app on the phone he calls her out of her name, stupid xxxx and when she was having it and turned to speak back, he spit on her!! Came in to grab a tissue from the bathroom, the worker at the front proceeded to shake the door knob and force himself into the bathroom to tell me to leave. Was simply just trying to get a napkin from the bathroom to clean my car which I told him when I came in the store. Very unprofessional and unacceptable behavior from a store employee. The bun was more of a French roll than the authentic rolls from Philadelphia. The meat didn't really have much flavor, it didn't stand up to the Wiz well at all. They closed my fav location down and this is the only other location possible near me. They are on a connor and it's hard to see from the street unless you know where to look. I do want to state that staff is friendly, and the cashier/cook was very helpful. There were a few item changes that I was disappointed in. My food took some time to make but it was good. There is a small seating area and looked to be clean and in order. Not sure if i will return to this location or not. I've come here a few times as my kids like the Philly cheesesteak sandwich. I like it too, however the service has an opportunity for sure. They have plenty of parking and are located near Azusa Ave in a strip mall anchored by Smart & Final. I like that the sandwich comes with crunchy romaine lettuce which adds to the crunch. Not sure if that is true to a Philly cheesesteak, but I love me the crunch. The thin steak is cooked right in plain view. They generally have plenty of staff. Often more employees than customers. They also have those small ice cubes that many people love so much. The wait this last time around was long and I couldn't figure out why. The client before me was waiting for a long time and after getting his food he left and returned moments later as they gave him the wrong sandwich. Then I also noticed that the client after me waited for a long time to be acknowledged all while the cashier was working on miscellaneous duties that could have waited. I'm sure their overall Yelp rating is mostly service related, which is too bad the sandwiches are pretty good. I know hiring is hard in todays world but I don't think they are short staffed just not service trained unfortunately. I'll think twice before returning. read more

It was my first time eating at Charley's and I will definitely be coming back. Walking in the place was very clean and I was greeted by friendly employees. They had tables inside and yes you do leave smelling like food but for me it was so worth it! Everything tasted really really great! The food came out fast and everything was fresh. I had a #1 with fries and a strawberry lemonade (so good) my boyfriend and daughter (she had the small sandwich) had a #2 with fries and a strawberry lemonade too. Stopped at Charleys yesterday around 7:30pm. They close at 9pm. I ordered in the app. people were coming and going prior to my order. Around the time the app said my order would be ready (7:45pm) I went towards the door. The lady inside locked the door before I arrived at the door so I had to knock on the door. She came back and said do you have order pickup, I said yes and gave my name. When she brought my food I asked "are you closed?" she replied "just right now". I replied Wow!!! and decided I won't be going back ever with such poor service and differential treatment. We do like the sandwiches, we don't go to the closest one in Glendora, because the sun is pretty bad in the afternoon so we come to this location and have been for a few years, we do understand staff and training issues, but I don't think it would be to hard to lower the volume when customers are in the store,they keep it loud, to loud to talk and really not everyone likes hip hop sounds. read more

Feels terrible to leave this review on this restaurant as I read the other terrible reviews. Went today at 430 to get a sandwich for my daughter. Drove to the Covina location because it's the only one reasonable distance from me. Walked in to an empty restaurant with an empty parking lot. Two woman were prepping sandwiches. We smiled when we walked in and they didn't respond. We waited looking at the menu and every time I would turn to them they would Just look at each other. After a while my daughter said dad we should just go to Yoshinoya. I repeated so they would hear and they still Said nothing. After no greeting no acknowledgment I left. Ok so this place is new. I stopped in because the sign twirler caught my attention. I love chicken wings so I ordered the medium chicken wings alacarte which means you get 8 wings and nothing else. I got The lemon rub and Cajun rub. The flavors were amazing and the chicken was nice and crisp. I would give 5 stars for flavor. But I'm giving 2 stars because I opened the box and I almost didn't see the wings. They were so small. I thought they were parakeet wings. They definitely need to purchase their wings from another supplier UPDATE: ok o went back there and I have to bump it down to 1 star. Although the wings were slightly bigger this time, they must've had a different cook. They were awful. And those really delicious looking bacon cheese fries on the picture, dont bother.
