We ended up at Dollie's Breakfast on a whim and didn't check the reviews beforehand -- honestly, if I had, we might not have gone. It's located where the old Sizzler used to be (RIP to the cheese bread ). We went on a Sunday around 12:30. It was pretty quiet, but since they close at 2, that made sense. Service was prompt and friendly, and once we ordered, our food came out quickly. The menu is smaller and definitely diner-style. The food itself was just okay -- nothing bad, but nothing standout either. Basic eggs and hash browns. The corned beef hash was clearly from a can, which didn't bother me. The biscuits were a little hard and cold, but the gravy was actually pretty good. Now for the pricing -- $5 for an iced tea and around $7 for orange juice feels a little wild. Our total was $89 before tip for 4 adults and 2 kids (the kids shared one pancake, which was a good size). Overall, it was a decent experience. A bit pricey for what you get, but solid enough. We'd probably go back if we were in the area again -- next time we'd try the lunch menu instead. 4 solid stars. read more

My family of 5 (3 little kids) decided to try this spot out, and from the moment we got there it was bad. The establishment is super filthy and hot. As my family and I are seating my 4 year old hopped on the booth and was moving to his spot when the booth collapsed in and my son fell in between the wood and floor. He instantly started crying the ONLY EMPLOYEE that came to check on us was Litzy who wasn't even our server she just happened to be near by and helped move us to another booth, and said that she was going to let the manager aware of what happened and that the manager would be checking on us. We move to our booth and our server comes to assist us at our new booth acting like nothing happened. We were upset and debating if we should leave but our kids were hungry so we continued to order hoping the experience would get better and waiting for the manager. The manager never came, we saw a woman Asian employee who looked like the manager & asked her if she was the manager she said kind of not really but asked if there was something she could help with. We just told her nothing we were waiting for the manager. Still no one came. The food was awful flies all inside the building. My husband took our 4 year old to the restroom and immediately said EWW. Restrooms disgusting. We got the check and our server told us she only charged us for the adult plates and not the kids plates bc of what happened with our son falling. Her first time acknowledging what happened to my son, not once did she ask if he was okay or needed anything. My husband complained to Litzy who was processing our payment about our experience at their establishment. She apologized deeply for our experience (EVEN THOUGH IT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH HER) and was the only employee to show concern over our son getting hurt shoutout Litzy the only employee with a heart and good customer service. Families stay away from here all booths are wobbly and not secure, the spot is filthy. If something happens the staff is going to keep acting like they saw nothing. I finally got an opportunity to check out Dollis Breakfast, where the old Sizzler used to be. The hot link and eggs plate was superb, with plenty of juicy and delicious hot links to anchor the whole entree. The hash browns were a tad mushy, but otherwise, the whole plate rocked. They got my eggs exactly up easy, which is more than most diners can do. The service was a bit slow with the refills; I only could get two refills by the time the meal ended when a more on the ball server can get me to that five or six cup mark. It wasn't too egregious, though, with her checking after five minutes of me looking to her to get my coffee. The ambiance is a little old and past its prime, but I kind of think that's what gives diners like this its character. I wasn't put off at all as I like to see a place that's settled in and experienced than brand new and maybe still figuring it out. All in all, it was a good breakfast, minus the hash browns and lack of refills. Recently tried Dollis breakfast, a quiet little restaurant on the corner of citrus. Service is very friendly, there wasn't many staff working or too many people in the restaurant however they were still nice and accommodating. Food is okay I ordered a classic breakfast which came with a huge slice of hash browns, bacon, eggs, and your choice of toast. However for the price I think the food and portions are fair. We love dollis but unfortunately we went today for a late breakfast at around 12:30 pm, there were no customers and 2 waitresses. One of them came and took us to our table and brought our drinks and took our order. I ordered a club sandwich and my wife ordered a turkey sandwich with extra lettuce. She brought our order and my sandwich had the extra lettuce, I told her that my wife's sandwich was the one with extra lettuce. She offered to fix it but I just took out the lettuce and gave it to my wife. We need it napkins and a refill of sodas, Both of the waitress were laughing and talking at the counter since there were no customers, I tried to get her attention but she did not hear me. We finished and paid, I only left her a couple of dollars for a tip. I did tell her that she should have stopped by our table at least once since there was no customers. She apologized. How is this restaurant even open? We walk in, it's completely empty. The restaurant itself is so outdated and it was hot inside. I noticed a fly and paid no attention because it was one damn fly. I placed our drink orders and food order and then I noticed flies everywhere. I counted 5 just within a few seconds. I walked over to the waitress and explained I couldn't bear eating with flies but, I offered to pay for our drinks. I paid and left without eating. I was charged almost $40 for 3 strawberry lemonades and 1 iced coffee. Management ignored the fly issue but, made sure to collect the money for drinks. Definitely do NOT even think of eating here. Came here after my sons football and this was 10 minutes from the field. Walked in and didn't realize it was more towards a senior spot. Our waiter was sweet and very attentive. Inside is very old and dinghy. My son the build your own breakfast burrito. Very disappointed in the size. He likes it and that's all that matters. I got the Dollis special, which was eggs, choice of potatoes and sausage. It was ok. I didn't like the sausage. It had a sweet taste to it. We ordered pancakes on the side which were ok. They have a variety of breakfast choices to choose from. Vegan food, turkey, chicken, etc. The service was good and the ambiance was an old-school mom-and-pop style restaurant. It's very clean inside with televisions all around the restaurant. The prices are reasonable. They serve beer and mimosas. They close at 1 p.m. during the week and 2 p.m. on weekends. The place is dated but clean with ample parking space. Paid a visit to Dollis on 12/14. Chose the sausage patties and eggs with decaf coffee. No hash browns. I checked if they offered sliced tomatoes instead. For toast I ordered the zucchini bread. Took that home. I'm on a slightly flexible carnivore diet right now. The choices are starting to work. Service was great. Sausage patties had great flavor. When I checked my blood sugar it was 107. Taking out simple carbs does make a difference. It's great that Dollis has menu items you can adjust for type 2 diabetes and the semi carnivore diet. The burrito comes with a side of green or red salsa. I got green salsa and it was a delish mild flavor, downside is I wish they gave more salsa on the side because the small cup of salsa wasn't enough for me. We got the ham steak and eggs ($10.99), and Dollis special ($7.99). Our food came out so quickly! The ham steak was huge and good - really juicy and flavorful. It got a bit too salty after having too much, but that's just how ham is. Hash browns were also too lightly fried, but I didn't mind much since I love potatoes. This was my first time at Dollis. I've driven by for over 20 years but never stopped in because it looks like a dive. My boyfriend and I decided to try it, and we were pleasantly surprised. We love breakfast and had a breakfast burrito and pecan pancakes, and he had the corn beef hash breakfast plate. We both enjoyed the burrito with TATOR TOTS. Yum.
