We've been to Millie's a few times, and it never disappoints! This time I got the What a Waffle combo, and my boyfriend ordered the 1/2 salad with ranch and a 1/2 BLT. The food was delicious, it has that cozy, homey flavor that makes you feel like you're eating breakfast at your grandma's house. The waffle was fluffy, buttery, and huge (I could only finish half!), and even the salad was a generous portion for being a half order. Service was great, everyone was friendly and welcoming. We were seated quickly even though it was a busy Sunday morning, and our food came out fast and hot. I also love that they walk around offering refills on coffee, such a nice touch! The diner itself has that old-school, warm, and cozy vibe, and I love that they also have a bakery where you can grab pies, cookies, or cinnamon rolls to go. There's even a cute little corner with Disney-themed trinkets and gifts, which adds to the charm. Prices are fair, especially with how generous the portions are. Definitely a spot I'll keep coming back to and recommending to friends!

I placed a phone order for Mac & Cheese as my daughter suddenly had a craving. I arrived two-minutes later as I happened to be in the area and my order was good to go, wow!! What service. While I was waiting to pay for my order, I looked down and it was at that moment that I knew they had me. The register to pay is surrounded my pies muffins so I ended up paying for my daughter's Mac & Cheese and i picked up a small banana cream pie as well as a banana nut bran muffin for myself. Both desserts were just ok. Employees here are very friendly and ready to serve. Thank you for the GREAT service! My family and I will definitely be back for breakfast very soon

I live in Marina Del Rey but decided to go to the LA Fair this year so on my way to Pomona I decided to stop in Covina for breakfast. I had already been to most of the others in the area so decided to go with Millie's as I had never been there before. I would classify it as a country diner versus a retro diner. The menu has all sorts of American comfort food classics on it, and few elevated breakfast dishes. Inside is quite large with many different seating options including booths, tables, and counter. Our server was very polite and he mentioned that he was just about to have his seven year anniversary so it's nice to see that this restaurant has a lot of regulars. Service is also really fast, our food came out shortly after ordering it. Parking is also very easy because there is a large free parking lot attached right out front. The food itself was just OK, definitely not bad, but definitely not as good as some breakfast spots here in Santa Monica or MDR. For my meal I chose the California Avocado Omelette and thought it was pretty good, but felt the protein amount was minimal. It's not quite as hardy nor do they have as large portions as some other places close by but I still enjoyed it. I think the pricing was fair and I would stop in again if I'm in the area, although I have had better breakfasts in the Eastern Los Angeles area.

California omelette: I highly recommend, it was so good!

This place is always busy so we usually don't have time to dine here. We went on a Monday and it wasn't too busy, steady customers but the service was quick and our coffee was never empty! The food was delicious and so glad we decided to eat here. The restaurant was also very clean.

Millies is a home away from home. The staff treat you so warmly and the food always tastes like it was made with love, because it is! The ambiance is cozy diner style!

What a pleasant surprise to our day. I was expecting this place to be like Dennys, but it felt down home. When we pulled up my wife said surely these cars can't all be for the restaurant, but they were. The place was pretty well packed at 10 AM on a Thursday. Personally, I loved the interior decor. It was Christmas decor and a slice of Americana. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We both enjoyed our meals. Portions were good. The biscuit and gravy were better than average. Bacon was a bit undercooked for my preference. My wife loved the machaca. The home fries were quite good as were the refried beans.

Cornbread with corn! Butter was creamy.

It's been a long time since we come to Millie's, we almost forgot it exists. The place is so dated but it's kinda comforting too... like home. The table where we sat was the brightest spot with good lighting which I appreciate. Server was good. Food was great. I have the meatloaf. Flavorful. My husband has the fried chicken... that's A LOT of fried chicken. A bit too dry on the chicken thigh. Cornbread was warm and delicious. Nice to have actual corn in the cornbread. Perfect timing that tonight was also the Christmas parade, so after dinner we walked a few blocks to watch the parade. It would be nice if corporate or the owner gave funding to update the place. Everything was beyond worn.

Is breakfast served through out the day?

Yes, I had waffles at 10:30 at night. It was delicious. Their omelets were great as well, that's what my parents shared.

The cheese bread came out with half of it undercooked and the other half stale and overcooked. The blue cheese salad had no taste The cabbage salad did not have its usual zest and Tang The hamburger tasted like there was fish cooked in the same area so there was a transfer of fish flavor onto the hamburger The pastrami was really not good either and the bread was completely saturated. Not like a little wet like you would expect like wet like it had water on it. The server was good although overwhelmed. I think she had seven tables running, maybe six, but I think it was seven. Clearly too much for one person. Although she remained very positive and kind, she was probably the only thing I liked about the experience. Brioche bun was perfectly crisped, patty was thick and full of flavor. Loved the garlic cheese spread. Just brought it to another level. Well-balanced and not too garlicky. Just delicious. My only complaint was the chicken portion to salad was a little slim but, the crispy tots made up for it. The star of the show was the bread pudding! I'm not a huge fan of soggy bread but, this one was perfect. It had candied walnuts, caramel, vanilla ice cream and apples. Probably some of the best bread pudding I've had. If on a tight budget, the Good Company (Covina) is a prime location for casual drinking or hangout. It's food is not bad, but you can taste its affordability. I arrived on Saturday (around 5:40PM). Customers walk to the counter and order. Staff (Omar) is friendly and hardworking. He's seen constantly moving and interacting with guests. My orders arrived quickly. The Cheeseburger Bun was ready in 5 minutes and 36 seconds. The Matcha Berry Affogato arrived at my table in 9 minutes and 20 seconds. The food's presentation is memorable. The Cheeseburger Bun ($6) includes wagyu ground beef, melted American cheese, thinly sliced pickle, and fried thin onion slivers. Eating it with the white bun reminded me of sloppy joe in a soft taco. This very wet, mushy meal is cheesy and oily. Still, it's filling and cheesy with a very affordable price-point. The Matcha Berry Affogato ($6) is a scoop of ice cream swimming in a lake of liquid matcha. The flavors are decent but not memorable. The ice cream was chill and not overly sweet. Unfortunately, the liquid matcha arrived almost lukewarm. It would have been much more refreshing if the entire dish came cold. The presentation is eye-catching, but it lacked any real taste. Still, it's a very affordable experience. Concerning ambiance, The Good Company (Covina) performs extremely well. The location is very clean and comfortable with upbeat & fun music. There's also one flatscreen tv in the corner with closed captioning english subtitles. The location is well-ventilated, and the furniture all look very new and well-maintained. Even though the location is small, the colors and decor make it feel spacious and comfortable. Overall, The Good Company (Covina) is a good, budget hangout location. The food has an attractive appearance but its taste is unfortunately comparable to premium fast food. If heading there, bring good company and you'll definitely have a good time. 4 out of 5
