Jalapeño bacon fries (cheese on the side)

Food was okay. Both of our sandwiches were bland. My Buffalo chicken wasn't spicy at all. Jalapeños were small portions. Not the best.

    Cheesesteak

Went to charleys today and decided to get a cheesesteak (regular size. Not large) since they were giving out free French fries on the app with the QR Code thanks to it being the Christmas time of the year. The cheesesteak was very tasty and just the right size and price. Atleast for me charleys is a good spot in the mall when you take into consideration you can't get a sub anywhere in the newport mall area. 10 bucks and change for a cheesesteak that will leave you satisfied seems fair to me. You don't even need to make it a combo as the sandwich is very filling on it's own. Give it a try if your in the mood for a sub.

Their large philly cheestake and cheese w/ bacon fries. The best.

If I could give it no stars I would... Not good food, fake cheese & their $5.99 cheesy BBQ combo is a rip off.

They have a big menu to choose from spanning from fried rice, kimbap, bibimbap, to stews and more. Their signature "make your own bowl" had so many options, came generously portioned, and was so colorful and tasty :D The customization starts with a base: white rice, multigrain rice, japchae (noodles), or salad bases and moves onto a loooong list of toppings. A few of the more interesting ones like bellflower and fern brake roots were sold out when I ordered for dinner. And who else offers a fried egg for no additional charge as a topping? The toppings are yummy by themselves because they are already cooked or marinated. Definitely a great way to get one's vegetables! Proteins include bulgogi, pork belly, garlic chicken, spicy chicken, tofu, and even spicy squid. For kalbi, there's an additional cheese. The bulgogi was well seasoned and hit the spot! A little on the sweeter side but I didn't mind. The texture of the meat is mushier than the usual bulgogi, more of a Philly cheesesteak texture, but tasty nonetheless~ Don't count on this being authentically Korean. The bowls come with sauce options, but everything was so flavorful that I didn't use any! I agree on the hefty portion size; it's enough for a big meal if you're hungry and otherwise two lighter portions. Since the flavors, color, tastes, and flavors were so delightful, I finished it all so don't count on it lasting for multiple meals :) Patrons can order at the kiosks up front or schedule online to pickup. There's plenty of seating that looks fairly comfortable. Service was friendly enough. For more than $20 with tip, it's kind of expensive for a meal, but for the variety, taste, and relative healthiness, this meal was on point!

The kimchi fried rice is so good, it's a big bowl with spicy rice, kimchi, little cubes of beef, and a fried egg to top it all off. Even after surviving the bike delivery transit, the bowl looks great and tastes even better. It's got a nice heat to it that makes the otherwise heavy ingredients taste even more interesting. And I'm not kidding about portions...I've never been able to make it through more than half a bowl, and usually have to stop after a third!

They have such a wide variety of interesting flavours and combinations, so I had a hard time deciding what to get. I ended up getting the honey garlic chicken burger combo and sweet chili chick n pop. The burger was one of the best fried chicken sandwiches I've ever had - the bun was light and fluffy, and the chicken was perfectly seasoned with the sweet honey sauce. The fries were pretty solid, but didn't stand out. I really enjoyed the truffle aioli sauce that I chose to come with it! I also loved the sweet chili chick n pop. I got the sauces on the side, but both were super good on their own or combined together. They're perfect little bites of crispy chicken and sauce! I'm super interested in trying the other flavours of fried chicken that they have. Food came delivered super quick - they did forget my drink in my combo, but I assume they might've just not had it.

They have an eclectic menu of japanese street foods and the inside is actually larger than you would think for a place making Japanese bar/comfort food! The okonomiyaki was DELICIOUS. It was everything I've been missing and I'm sad I didn't try this place sooner but I will definitely come back to try the rest of their menu, too. You could tell the owners are authentic and it's one of those places that survived the transition from Astor place being a bit of a Japan town to what it is today. Keep this place open at all costs! I would say the soy yakisoba could use some improvement as there wasn't that much taste to it. And the beef rice bowl was like alright, but we agreed that something in that bowl tasted weird. And this place is like an order at the kiosk and they bring it to your table kinda situation, so technically no tipping required! And pricing was more than fair. Would come back for the okonomiyaki
