This place is SO GOOD. I cannot stop thinking about this place. Both times I got the marinated short ribs and it was amazing. I adore the lunchbox set because it has more than just carbs--I throughly enjoyed all the side dishes and bonchons. This lunchbox set has brought me so much joy and I cannot wait to have more. The spicy sauce is mysteriously good, albeit a little salty.

My husband and I both loved our food here. We each got the traditional bibimbop. I was surprised how much food came with it! We both left stuffed. Very tasty. Meal was quick and it was easy to order with touch screens (or you could talk to the worker)... when you order you can also select if you'd prefer chopsticks or a fork/spoon which was nice. Would definitely recommend this! Good food and filling.

Reasonably priced casual Korean BBQ place! It's not the typical kbbq in town but more like a quick casual Korean rice meat soup set place. There's a ton of food for the price you pay and it's super worth it! Service was also pretty quick!

I've always been wanting to try this. But Looking at the menu before coming here...$20 for a bowl?! After ordering, We got a lunch set and a Koba bowl. 10% off if you pay cash, 20% off if you have student or military ID! Lunch set: You get a meat, rice, 3 toppings which come in the side, 1-2 actual sides, and a treat. We got braised pork belly (so delicious), mushroom, spicy radish, eggplant, soup, dumplings, and purple rice. The soup I see that they tried to mild-ify the spice but it's nice. Everything was delicious! I prefer lunch set over the bowl -- everything tastes better separated rather than mushed in one bowl. Pleasantly surprised that if you get seated they bring the food to you in metal bowls and cups. They even serve you water bottle. This is what you call healthy, delicious, and affordable fast casual Korean. I am a fan of the concept and I will be returning.

Excellent choice for casual Korean food. Did a takeout order (via Grubhub) and picked up a few Koba Bowls. You get to customize them with choices for base, mix-ins, proteins and toppings. They were terrific - delicious and good sized portions. For the proteins, we liked both the Kalbi Short Ribs and the Beef Bulgogi that we got. Friendly service and our order was ready when we arrived. Will certainly be back!

This place is more like a fast food style Korean concept (so don't expect any banchan), and a bit pricey imo. But there aren't any other options for Korean food in the FiDi area so beggars can't be choosy. The lunchtime stew wasn't available so I ended up ordering a KOBA bowl. What I customised ended up pretty similar to the japchae except I could pick even more ingredients to add to the bowl, so this was super hearty for lunch. I'm surprised I managed to finish it but ended up skipping dinner altogether because this was so filling lol. Tasted good but given the price point I'm not sure I'd return regularly. We also got a yogurt drink, though you can choose one of the sweeter Korean snacks (eg chocopie) for free

Grabbed lunch here and while the amount of food I got for $20 I wasn't amazed with the taste. The bulgogi was on the dry side and barely warm. Service was quick and friendly.

For real for real. This is in my top ten for the entirety of NYC eateries. Though I had quite a time trying to figure out what to order I was happy to have been given a helping hand by the staff at the restaurant. I had the glass noodles, spinach, mushrooms, and beef and everything was so tasty. Everything. All of it. And I've had their food at catered events and I've had it multiple times and it's so good. And the chicken dumplings were good. Because of this place, I am now a huge fan of Korean bbq. And, the space is a nice size. Again, one of my favorites. A large amount of food for the price.

    Yum--gimbap & japchae (appetizer portion).
    Kimberly L.

Honestly, surprisingly great fast-casual Korean food. I'm generally a little skeptical but this is definitely a lucky gem to have in FiDi. The gimbap/kimbap is made well (and yes! gotta have that brush of sesame oil+sesame seeds on top), and wow the japchae is better than most fast-casual places in KTown :-O. They do a great job with proportions of protein+veggies to the sweet potato noodles!! Depending on my mood, I'll do the gimbap+appetizer portion of japchae so I can have both, otherwise a regular portion of japchae is when I'm going hard, hahaha. Again, real glad to have this downtown!

KOBA exceeded my expectations! I was looking for a quick dinner after work and finally decided to give Koba a try. Upon walking in, there are 3 ipads you can order at, then pay at the register. There is plenty of seating, though I got my order to go. The bibimbap ($20) was a generous portion, and meat was very well flavored. I had enough left over for lunch today! While ordering, I saw an option to add extra meat- I chose to try the spicy pork out of curiosity, and also liked it. Out of the two meats, I preferred the bibimbap beef more.

Very delicious food and quick service! My office is down the street from Koba and since I don't go in often, I try to check out the new spots with good reviews. Happy to report that Koba did not disappoint. I ordered the create your own bowl with spicy chicken, multigrain rice, edamame, carrots, cucumbers, egg, garlic flakes. They were out of furikake which is the only thing that wasn't ideal. The bowl itself was still delicious though! The service was speedy and efficient. The price is a bit higher than what I expected as I was thinking it would be around the price of Dig Inn or Chipotle but it's a lot of food and I won't eat there often so it's okay.

I have ordered here mutiple times for lunch and I usually get the bulgogi kimbap. I love to get kimbap since it's quick and easy to eat. Today I noticed they didn't put as much meat as the other times. It is also heavier eith the rice. I hope its just the person making it. Overall the kimbap is good aside from less protein.

Here's what we ordered: ~ Tako Wasabi - 5/5 stars A fiery delight. This appetizer feartures chopped raw octopus marinated in wasabi. It has a lively zest from the wasabi and is topped with tobiko, which adds a pleasant contrast in texture. ~ Honey Makgeolli - 4/5 stars A traditional fermented Korean beverage that is light and pairs brilliantly with your meal. It is a cloudy alcholoic drink served in a metal teapot, and surprisingly, there is much more in that teapot than you would expect. It easily provides six to eight generous pours. The flavor is subtly sweet with a pleasant tang. ~ Temaki Set - 4/5 stars You can order a set of three by choosing from selections 1-17, or you can order a la carte at the listed prices. Some of the temaki stood out more than others. Our two sets included marinated salmon, bluefin tuna, spicy yellowtail, spicy bluefin, and two dynamite temaki. ~ Spicky Pork Ssam Set - 5/5 stars Truly another standout entree that even surpassed my beloved grilled BBQ bossam. You received a generous basket of assorte greens, including romaine, kale, perilla leaves, dandelion leaves, nappa cabbage, and more. It is well worth the price and makes for a fun, interactive dining experience with your family and friends. There is also various banchan offered and this time, they were beyond kind enough to offer refills. The last time we were here, we ordered just as much food and they stated they normally did not offer refills, which I thought was very odd. With its casual bougie aesthetics, this spot has quickly become one of my favorite eateries in Fort Lee-lee, It beautifully blends Korean, Japanese, and American flavors in a way that feels both comforting and elevated. Needless to say, we will be back!

I think you have the option to cook it yourself or have them cook it for you and we chose the latter. While I enjoyed it, I wish there was more space. Most of the space was taken up by the accompaniments that come with it (veggies, etc), so there was hardly any room to put anything else. We walked into a stylish but relaxed space that feels suited for both casual dinners and a night out with friends, with an atmosphere that balances energy and comfort well. The room gets lively when it fills up, but the noise level adds to the experience rather than detracting from it, making it feel like a place built for sharing and conversation. The food is where Hojokban stands out. The complimentary banchan sets the tone for the meal with flavorful sides that add variety before the main dishes arrive, each one thoughtfully prepared and offering a different texture or flavor profile. The gomtang soup is one of the more comforting options, bringing together tender meat, a rich broth, and classic Korean flavors in a way that feels hearty without being overly heavy. The galbi dishes are also a highlight, with the meat cooked well and carrying the sweet and savory balance that makes Korean-style grilled beef so enjoyable. The portions are generous, and the quality of the ingredients is noticeable across the board. The menu has several unique dishes worth exploring. The truffle potato pancake is one of the more memorable items, combining a familiar Korean staple with a richer, modern twist that adds depth without losing the essence of the original. The perilla oil noodles are another standout, offering a lighter but still flavorful option with a distinct nutty aroma that lingers on the palate. The beef tartare adds a more refined element to the meal, fresh and well seasoned, while dishes like the ramyun fried rice bring a fun comfort food element with bold, savory flavors. Together, the menu covers enough ground that you can build a meal around both familiar favorites and more creative choices. Service is friendly and the overall experience feels welcoming rather than overly formal. The staff are attentive without hovering, and they handle the busy flow of the restaurant with a pace that keeps the meal moving without feeling rushed. The menu is designed for sharing, and the portions make it easy to order several dishes across the table, allowing you to try more of what the kitchen has to offer. The lively atmosphere adds to the meal, making it a good fit for group dinners where the energy of the room matches the pace of the food. Hojokban does a good job blending traditional Korean flavors with a more modern dining experience. It is a place where you can come for familiar comfort food while still finding dishes that feel creative and different. If you enjoy Korean cuisine and want a restaurant with a little more personality, this is a spot worth checking out. It delivers a meal that feels both familiar and fresh, striking a balance that makes it easy to return to and explore more of the menu.

They advertised themselves as having the best katsu in NYC and they may just be right. With our order it came with a bunch of side dishes. Kimchi, Marconi salad, and mashed potatoes, and others. They were all good. Food came out pretty quick as well. Don't think we waited too long for anything. After we were done they gave us some ice cream. I would absolutely love to come back here again for lunch and probably will.

Jeong Yuk Jeom is one of my favorite Korean restaurants in K-Town! I stopped by for lunch and was…read morereally impressed by both the quality of the food and the overall dining experience. The Ssambap Set was incredibly satisfying. The beef was tender, flavorful, and paired perfectly with the fresh lettuce wraps, rice, banchan, and soup. Every bite was well-balanced and packed with flavor. We also ordered the Mixed Katsu Set, which was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and cooked to perfection. It came with generous portions and made for a comforting, filling meal. The restaurant has a modern and welcoming atmosphere, the staff was friendly and attentive, and everything arrived fresh and beautifully presented. If you're looking for a delicious Korean lunch in NYC's Koreatown, Jeong Yuk Jeom is definitely worth a visit. I'll be coming back to try more of their menu!

The galbi-jjim was perfectly tender like I could literally pull it apart with my chopstick. The addition of the rice cake, pumpkin, and pyogo mushroom were a nice touch. The soy sauce base was a little sweet and if you take a bit and pour it over the mushroom sotbap, it is soooooooo good!!!!!!! The mushroom sotbap is so umami. There is foie gras in it which maybe be in a little overpowering for some people but I really enjoyed it I could easily eat a whole bowl of their freshly made kimchi. It was perfect. Not too salty or spicy or fermented. Literally perfect!!! I actually asked for seconds. The cold cucumber broth was really refreshing Highly, highly recommend making a resy!! There were just a couple of things that kept this from being a full 5 stars. My 5 year old was required to order an entrée. We were planning to order one anyway, but I still found it a bit unusual. I also requested a birthday candle with dessert for our celebration when I made a reservation, but unfortunately the request wasn't acknowledged. Despite those minor disappointments, we had a wonderful experience. The food and service really stood out, and I would definitely bring visiting friends and family here. I'd happily return again 4.5/5.
