If you're thinking about eating here, don't. We arrived on a Sunday at 5:45pm, and the listed hours had the restaurant closing at 6pm. Immediately upon entering, a man behind the counter screamed, "We're closed, you need to get out"! I told him that the restaurant closed at 6pm, per the signage out front, and he insisted that the kitchen was closed, despite other workers actively still cooking. He continued to argue with me screaming at me that I need to get out. This place clearly has no interest in serving paying customers. I highly advise you take your business somewhere else, where they would be happy to serve you. If they want to kick their customers out the door, then so be it. With this customer service, I wouldn't be surprised if they closed tomorrow. Save yourself, and eat somewhere else. read more

Ordered food today (September 1st) from this location. My wife and I both ate our fry's then went home. Just took a bite of the sandwich to find a 3ml syringe in it. This is EXTREMELY disgusting and a big health violation if there is no actually use for these syringes. We use these for medications all the time at the hospital and I don't see any reason for their use here so please explain before I report this to the Florida health department. I'm keeping this in a baggie for now. I'll update after I get an email back from Charley's with their best explanation as to how this is used in their shops and not someone's left over drug syringe. My wife and I are without words right now. Review Update : October 4th. I was in email contact with charley's, but that ended after they never once got back to me about where this could have come from. I gave them a long time to respond. All i wanted to know is if it's used at for food and somehow made it into the food, but the lack of a reply shows that they don't have an answer which means that someone is using drugs and it was then transferred into our food. I was not even given a refund for the order and they had my receipt and everything when I first emailed them. At this point the only thing left to do is file a complaint with the Florida health department and go from there. I kept the syringe that I'll be passing along to the health department if they want it for testing. read more

It's still not great, and you can certainly do better for less money at just about any sub shop in existence, but there was a bit more in my sandwich this time around. And there was working air conditioning. You'll still need to order a large sandwich if you want to be satisfied. And that will run you about $10, plus drink and fries cost extra. The cheese fries are amazingly good! I get the veggie sub and they grill the green peppers, mushrooms, onions and cheese and the toppings are lettuce, tomatoes, yellow peppers and olives. I usually like Charley's sub shops but I recommend you avoid this one at Waterford Lakes. Just like other reviewers posted about, the service is horrendous. The cook/manager had my family and another family standing at the register for over 5 minutes while he just stood right in front of us and cooked, without any acknowledgement. Not even a "just one minute" or ask his employee (also standing there just waiting on him) to assist us. It was the most awkward and rude fast food experience I've encountered. It was also blazing hot in there, no AC in a 90+ degree day outside. That family finally left and so did I after an "excuse me" to the guy and still no acknowledgement. I put up a fight and stand my ground on the basses of principal. I liked that cheese wiz clone and why shouldn't I, it really made a difference and truly made that sandwich worth something tangible. Haven't been to this location in years due to the poor customer service. There was only one associate running the show with 5 people waiting to get their orders, two other workers were doing nothing. When I asked to speak to a manager, it was this little girl who wasn't lifting a finger while her employee was pulling all the weight. She said everyone was "working" and they had a shortage of food.
