So, my bf and I decided to come here because we have heard good/decent things about this place. When we came in, almost like early dinner time, there wasn't many people here which was nice. The ambiance is nice, calm and decorated for Valentine's Day which made me smile. It was light and airy, the decor and vibe I got was similar to a Corner Bakery (R.I.P) and Panera Bread. When we go the counter, the cashier was super nice and we explained to her that it was our first time here and she was kind enough to give us some time to look through the menu. My bf ended ordering a BLT sandwich with avocado and then the chicken dumpling soup on the side. I ended up ordering a New Yorker sandwich with the Kickin Crab Chowder soup on the side. Since we were dining in, we chose a booth and the cashier said that our food would be brought to the table when ready which we were fine with. In a matter of moments, they brought the food out. My bf's BLT looked like a typical BLT but we knew where the action laid is if the bacon was crunchy because (....iykyk...). As soon as he bit into it, (drum roll), the bacon was soggy which brought the whole taste of the sandwich down. As bright and fresh as the sandwich looked, the soggy bacon was a no go. My bf was disappointed as was I but he was hungry so he ate the entire sandwich. As far as the soup went, my bf said it was bland which neither more salt or more pepper could save. As for me, my soup was way too salty and just tasted...off. When I think of seafood and chowder, I think thick and flavorful, this was neither. As a fellow seafood lover, it was almost too salty and then too fishy (...never thought I'd ever say that). Same goes for my sandwich. Although piled high with pastrami and corned beef, I wasn't too much a fan of the taste of the bread or the meat. The pastrami was peppered with too much pepper and then the corn beef just didn't taste fresh. We ended our meal with the Godiva chocolate cheesecake and that was the hit of our meal. Rich, succulent and tasty...it was absolutely delicious! Overall, I wasn't too much impressed with the food. It is a bit steep in price but I mean hey! You never know what like and don't like if you don't try. Maybe one day we'll come back and try some other sandwiches but I don't think it will be anytime soon. read more

The crab chowder is not good, I had high hopes but I could smell the fishy smell before even opening my bag of food. I ordered the pick 2 and paid $15. The food was not worth the price even if I did eat the soup, which I didn't, I just tossed it. I tried it despite the smell and it had too much spice for my taste and for a chowder. I also got the half chicken Ceasar salad which was pretty decent. I liked the cut of the chicken, it was thin pieces not thick slices like most similar food establishments. We ate here for a late lunch and there were only two workers so we had to wait a little bit; this did not bother us as I use to work for this corporation many years ago. I feel bad giving a bad review, but my experience here is really subpar. Ordering-- their ordering app is via ubereats as they don't have a dedicated app, so the ordering portal is via browser and kinda slow, as the tea loading icon just keeps spinning when I try to add to the order. There are a lot of buttons to customize, but it's not too difficult once you figure out the set up. Windowside pickup-- this was quite disappointing. I ordered for pick up at 7pm on a Friday, and arriving there exactly on the dot, no one is at the window. I look inside and it seemed so empty. Granted the parking lot is pretty empty too. There's no bells to ring, I waited a bit, and decided just go in, wondering if they are even open. Inside was very spacious, lots of seating but almost entirely empty on a Friday evening. It could be because the location is hard to get to, as only the right lane traffic can turn in, and it's pretty difficult to exit out of the location. It's situated right outside a living facility, so I hope the residents there will keep the store running because there's barely anybody at this location. Food wise I was underwhelmed by the size and quality. My sandwiches were not toasted enough, barely lukewarm and kind of wet/soggy ish. It should've been freshly made, so unsure why the quality is poor. Possibly because there's just not a lot of customers, so the kitchen isn't fresh. I'm surprised by how they wrap the pickle on the oh side of the packaging, but it makes sense. I got the Spicy Turkey Melt, which I can barely taste the spicy sauce. In fact, I can barely taste any flavor other than what the ingredients are. I tried their McAlister's Sweet Tea, but could only taste the sweet and not tea; it's basically sugar water, and a lot of it. My husband was fine with the Memphian sandwich, there's plenty of cuts and the mustard flavor comes through strong. Salt and vinegar chip was very sour but also flavorful. Brookie was good; not as crunchy but the cookie portion is soft. Not really impressed. Maybe if I were to give it another try, I might get the spuds. read more

This place was an escape for me to get away and wind down from a workplace I hated. Fell in love with the unsweetened ice tea and kept coming back. You can plan a lower sodium meal here by checking the ingredients and making sure you know how much you are eating the shallot salad dressing is the lowest you can get at this location. There is no vinegar and oil available at the tables. And if you ask them for it often they are unable to provide it. Which I find very sad. First time at a new church today and I was invited to lunch by the pastor and several other people. It seems McAlister's is one of their go to places. It is a nice looking place with counter ordering and table service. They are apparently known for their sweet tea, which I passed on as I prefer unsweetened tea and not diabetes in a cup. The unsweetened tea was really good though. I had a spicy southwest chicken sandwich and a fruit cup side. It was a good choice as the sandwich was pretty tasty though nothing too special. It was good enough that I will gladly go back with this group from my new church it won't necessarily seek it out on my own as I tend to prefer locally owned smaller places. I'm quite surprised I haven't reviewed this place yet since I've been here a dozen times. My wife has been here double that at least. I try something new each time and love it. This chipotle chicken with a sweet and spicy glaze sauce is incredible. My wife gets BLT+A every single time. It looks nothing special. She loves this sandwich. This place even makes something not on the menu that my pre-teen loves. It's sliced avocados on a piece of bread - not even Avocado toast. Looks pretty plain but my son absolutely loves it. I appreciate each time they do this for us. Place is clean. I feel like it gets busier over time so must be doing well. Handicap accessible. Seating area is large. First time for me going to this establishment. We walked in and kinda were on a time crunch since we had tickets to a play. And seeing one cashier I was kinda afraid how long we would wait ( keeping in mind I have never been there) The cashier ( sorry did not see a name tag) was extremely nice, patient for us to order. Our food literally came out less than 5 minutes ( how many cooks do they have? I would say more than one) and both were hot sandwiches. Mine was a Rueben and it was absolutely delicious. The other was a French dip and my partner devoured it and said it was great. The cashier came by and asked us everything was. Then later someone else came by and asked if we wanted refills for our soda. We declined but that is awesome you can get free refills. Most places don't do that. The place itself was very clean ( I assume the bathrooms were as well but I did not use them). Choose 2 for the win! The spicy southwest chicken sandwich was great. I usually gravitate toward combos at restaurants like this, and McAlister's 1/2 sandwich is definitely larger in both size and fillings than Panera's. For the other half of the combo, I chose the 1/2 Southwest chicken and avocado salad, which I also really enjoyed. Let me start by saying, I'm currently working in the area and I've been missing McAlisters food from home. I wanted to love this place. The tea is good, they put and adequate amount of ice. My problem is the food. They can never get an order right if you slightly modify the item. I asked for a Caesar Salad, no cheese, dressing on the side (bc it was take out) and to add bacon and tomatoes. As you can see for the pictures, the salad was slathered in dressing, had cheese, some of the lettuce was rotten, and I had a bonus piece of corn. So, today, I threw the salad away bc of the rotten lettuce and over abundance of dressing. I won't be ordering food from here again. I'm very disappointed bc McAlisters is one of my favorite sandwich shops. 2 weeks ago, I even went into the store to order and they made my sandwich wrap order wrong. The manager comped me but as I watched the kitchen staff remake my food I noticed that they began making the food by putting the wrap into the oven without gloves. Yum Yum Yum! I ordered their Half and Half and the portions are huge! (compared to their deli competitors nearby) When i opened my to go box, i thought it was a whole order and not half. I got the half McAlister and half grilled chicken spud. The sandwich was good. The honey mustard adds great flavor to the simple sandwich. The potato was baked perfectly. Felt myself gagging on the completely processed potato salad. Was given 3 bites of it placed in a huge paper container. The pickle was surely not fresh. Reminds me a bit of Jason's deli. Ordered the salad had really fresh ingredients, romaine , dried cranberries, sweet almonds, cucumbers, tomatoes, and processed chicken lunch meat . Had with chipotle dressing on the side which was good and the blue cheese. My son helped me eat it in addition to his chicken Cesar wrap and tortilla soup. My other son had beef and cheddar croissant with Mac and cheese. His portion was comparatively small compared to the portions we had. He's so funny when they placed our food down he says, " I feel ripped off" The service is great they bring the food to you and walk around and refill your drinks. My first time here. Had been curious about this place since I first saw it later year. With the exception of Schloztsky's deli restaurant in the past when they were around here, I have not eaten at chain deli restaurants. I have yet to eat at a Jason's deli for that matter. Anyway, I decided to check this place out. This place is franchised and it is independently owned and operated. It was busy when I went which in a way is good. It's spacious so I had plenty of seats to choose from. They have a good variety on their menu from sandwiches to baked potato spuds. The items are reasonably priced. It's counter service and it was prompt. I ordered their Spicy Southwest Chicken sandwich which comes with a choice of either chips, coleslaw, fruits, mac n cheese, potato salad or (one more item that I forget right now) as a side. I got a small cup of fruits. They have beverages which included Coke products and house brewed ice tea. I got their house sweet tea. The tea was decent. The sandwich I got seemed small in portion size. Looking at it I could tell it wasn't going to be enough for me. The price for the sandwich was $7.79 which is not bad but I wish it was slightly bigger. It came with a pickle. The sandwich was pretty decent in taste (nothing special). It was not spicy or deep in Southwest flavor. For someone like me, having that sandwich which wasn't spicy would need some hot sauce. They had Tabasco but I dislike that sauce very much. Anyway, I went without adding hot sauce. It was fine. Overall, I kinda liked this place. I would try other items from their menu. So I'll give it a try again. read more

Better service here than at a sit down restaurants! My kids love this place. Recommend Choose Two meal. My opinion, this place is better than Panera Bread. Bread bowl here is better. Soft bread and thick broccoli cheddar soup. Soup doesn't get watered down like Panera Bread soup. So far we've tried McAlister's Club sandwich, Grilled Chicken Club, Reuben sandwich, French dip sandwich. All delicious! Went there for lunch today and the food was delicious. Our table had Savannah salad with grilled chicken, craisins and split a McAlisters Club sandwich. It just opened but I was surprised at how well they were handling the lunch rush. We also tried the brownies and cookies and they were both good. Impressed with how nice the remodel looks. This place is great.....except for the people taking your order....slow, slow, slow. And after saying that's all I want, they ask if I want their famous ice tea or lemonade...and I say no...and then they ask if I want dessert. If I say that's all, I really mean "that's all." Calling in an order was painstakingly long, too. Hopefully, this all gets worked out. Well that was an unpublished post about. It's about a year later and the food is still good but the service is sadly awful. They just need a couple more employees during the lunch hours. read more

After 16+ visits, I have a clear opinion about this new place: It is a wonderful addition to the "Order at a Counter and We Bring it to You" style of restaurants. We have tried several Salads, Sandwiches, Soups and Potatoes, almost all on the "Choose 2" menu option. Of the about 30+ examples of menu items, only one was a let down, the Spicy Southwest chicken sandwich. In the evening, when we have been here, it usually isn't very busy, and everything is served amazingly fast. The staff is unusually friendly and accommodating.
