If I could add negative stars I would. Absolutely disgusting inside, the ceiling has black mold, the counters haven't been wiped, floors had stuff all over them. I'm very upset that I spend money there to have a lunch in such filth. There were exactly two employees, one (a lovely sweet girl) was doing everything from cleaning, cash register, and cooking. Her fellow employee (a tall man, beard and curly hair) left her alone for the entirety of our visit. 45 mins or so he was walking in and out of the building, yelling on the phone, smoking outside. He was wearing SLIDES. No person working in FOOD should have their feet not in shoes. It was disgusting. He didn't help the other employee at all. It was ridiculous. I hope he wasn't a manager but he sure seemed to be. I feel really bad for the girl behind the counter because she was doing everything she could for customers. read more

My first visit to any Charleys location. I was quite happy with the experience. We were there for the Car Show, it was hot outside, lovebugs and all. High noon and we wasted no time deciding to go grab a bite to eat! My buddies knew where they wanted to go, so I tagged along. It's a busy place, the staff is constantly on the go, but the lines moved quickly. I got the Regular size Philly Cheese Steak Combo Meal, which came with fries and a drink. All for $14.27 plus tax. I love a good Philly and this one was a Hit with me. Plenty of meat and lots of ooey gooey cheese made me love the taste. I thoroughly enjoyed every bite. Oh! The fries? They looked like the homemade type, with a bit of potato skin left on. And I sure did NOT mind waiting for them to cook up a fresh batch, which they pretty much did for every customer. The fries were piping HOT and crispy delicious! While I was getting a refill on my tea, I had the chance to talk with who appeared to be the main guy/the boss. He was really nice and thanked me several times for coming in. That goes a long way in making a customer feel welcomed. I ordered an ultimate fry, and to my surprise they put shredded cheese on top. They should have informed me when I placed my order at the counter that they did not have the melted cheese that normally comes on top. Also, ordered a basic chicken philly and the mayo was missing. Placed an order through uber eats for Brooksville location and they added topping I specifically ordered off the order. When I called Josy said can't you just take it off. If you have an allergy, that isn't an option. Wanted me to go back to restaurant to get correct order. I'd have to pay for another uber delivery when they misread what I wanted. The other food ordered was beyond salty. Won't be ordering again due to the lack of customer service and support. It's their company that chose to offer Uber services and should stand by their orders and ensure quality service. Did get it squared away with third party services, thankfully. Horrible place. I've been here twice and both times have been horrible. I gave the first time a pass thinking it was just an off day/crew but today it appeared that the owner(s) we working. It was dirty, both bathrooms were out of order and my steak sandwich looked nothing like what I ordered. I took it back up thinking surely they made a mistake and was told that was the kimchi cheesesteak and the kimchi and sauce was mixed in with the beef. It wasn't. We chose Charley's on our latest trip to Wiregrass mall because we needed something quicker than a sit down restaurant. The food was decent. The kids liked their chicken and fries. I tried the limited time Parmesan cheesesteak. I wouldn't get it again though, it was too tangy for me. I'm not sure if it was the A1 or the Parmesan sauce. Unfortunately, what brings this review down to a 3 is that we got our order to-go and they forgot our two lemonades. Just double check your orders before you leave. read more

Went to try Charley's today and didn't get the greatest first impression. My orders were simple #10 & #8 no tomatoes due to food allergy, (I forget the actual order #'s lol) but they got it wrong twice !! They still gave us tomatoes and when this was pointed out, they picked them off and tried to give it back in which I had to explain *again * that this was an allergy and it doesn't work like that. Third attempt , no tomatoes, but burnt bread .... Had to just accept this "L" for the night. As we waited we quickly realized that the place wasn't the cleanest and many orders were ******. Several kids under the age of 15 working here and it was super unorganized. Seen one of the kids eat some lettuce or something And tried playing it off after he realized I seen him. I wanted to try their cheesesteak sandwich and ordered two smalls. When I got home and opened the boxes, all the contents were scattered all over the boxes. What a mess! Apparently, he sandwiches were unwrapped and left open faced, placed in boxes and then placed sideways into a small plastic bag. I ate at Charley's last week and the cheesesteak was delicious but the service had a little to be desired. I had a coupon from Tommy's car wash right down the street. The coupon said free fries and drink with regular sub purchase. I wanted a large but they said I have to order a lesser priced item to get the deal. Stop by the Charles cheesesteak located near Waters &N. Dale Mabry Hwy Mabry off of North Dale Mayby to grab their Strawberry shakes and Only one time their machine worked. That's when they first open after that it's been closed is not working and I went in there today and the girl said that they're not gonna fix the machine. What type of service is that? or she understand English. Unbelievable brand new place I think open less than a year and they won't fix their shake machine, not very good service. I was in there yesterday and I had a meeting that I was going to do there and as we were walking in we were standing there it was me another woman and two children and he asked if he could help us and the lady that I was with said "we were going to have a meeting" and he said "how long" and we said "not long" and he said "because I don't like those types of meetings here" and we asked "what types of meetings" and he said "You know you buy food and you eat this is not a social gathering place". Okay so you're not supposed to socially gather in a restaurant so you're just supposed to always go by yourself You're not supposed to have anybody with you You're not supposed to bring others which would have been lucrative for him it's just doesn't make any sense. He had no clue if one of us was going to purchase food after we were finished the meeting or not, he had no idea! he made an assumption, he was rude about it, and he didn't know what he was talking about. I will never go there and I would never recommend them to anyone just because of their attitude. And just for the record this is not the first time I've been there and had a meeting I work for a home visiting program and sometimes we have to do meetings in public places. Had a big piece of a blue plastic bag melted on my Philly cheesteak and my husband's. Ask them to make it again without mayo because I'm pregnant. They made it with mayo. There was an oversized trash can with trash boasting with trash from the top and it was right in front of where they prepare the food. My husband ordered a buffalo chicken sub and did not get buffalo sauce and they put swiss cheese when he told them cheddar. Then while he was there the guy was fixing his food wrong and put swiss on his stuff he said it was just not a good experience there. I did not even eat my sandwich i tried calling them several times as I was working and they did not pick up the phone as I just wanted them to remake my sandwich later on. Last time my boyfriend went there didn't scan the app for the points, I email then where we were told to and they stated it takes 4 days to update, the 4 days passed and I emailed them again and they still didn't respond! This is a scam. I will be using my last points I have and then canceling and never going there again. Plus there food was not good The last time I went there was no toppings even though I stated I wanted them, and skimp on the cheese steak I got an extra large! I have been going here since they opened. Probably 1-2 a month for several years. My wife and will get lunch here from time to time. Sometimes my kids as well. I dont expect much but what they advertise they do well. Honest product for the price. Thats what I thought until tonight... I will never go near here again. Just a bad vibe from the time I walked in. Came from work after a 12 hour day. Got nothing but dirty looks from the cashier and cooks. I have a food allergy and specifically requested no mayonase.. I watched the person make the sandwich then put it on a bun with mayonnaise. When I let them know I requested no mayonnaise. They picked up the meat and slung it back on the grill and got a new bun. I let them know thats not how allergies work and got nothing but snarls from the cook who promptly cooked another meat without a word. Every interaction seemed to point that I was not welcome here.
