If you're like me, and you hesitate when you see an unfamiliar sauce or a jam on your B&E sammy...be brave. These folks know what they're doing. Try: The Frida Avokahlo and add bacon, "stuffed" (with a perfectly seasoned hash brown) and a side of the garlic aioli if you like it saucy. The garlic kale makes this bad boy so flavorful. The hot dog was juicy, the bun was fresh, and they even have chips, plenty of topping options, and drinks for just $1. The ambiance was fun too. They had a great mix of music playing, from newer country to oldies, and yes... even YMCA! The stand was clean, the tent was well set up, and there are steps nearby where you can sit, enjoy your food, and do a little people-watching if that's your thing. I'd absolutely come back. I had their Philly Cheesesteak, which was awesome. Everything is cooked to order, so there is a slight wait after ordering, but it is certainly worth it. There are also seats and tables outside of the spot for you to eat at, it's shared with a few other restaurants. If you really want an exciting time, eat there while a Zumba is going on! Then you can people watch while enjoying your food.

You order on a tablet here, and then they call your name. It's a small storefront, so you really have to stay nearby to hear your name being called in the large space that is the Armory. Not much interaction with staff. Plenty of seating throughout the Armory, though shared with other restaurants. The food came out piping hot. Obviously, they cook everything fresh to order because the inside of the fries was like lava. The fries were thick-cut and seasoned to perfection. The sandwich was good. I thought some pieces of the steak were a bit tough, and the roll seemed a bit over-steamed or possibly stale. A good sandwich and decent portion, nonetheless. I'm still going 5 stars here. I think Big Mike's is a great choice if you want a hearty, meat-filled sandwich and you happen to be in the area. However, I think you could be happy with another dining option in the Armory, too. My kids loved the MOD Pizza nearby. I decided to check them out and seek out something savory. No line, so I was able to place an order for a pair of Bacon, Egg, and Cheese breakfast tacos. Pleasant service and efficient kitchen crew.
