    Grumpy staff here

We needed somewhere quickly and this place fit the bill. The Philly cheesesteak was very tasty and so were the steak fries. Both were piping hot. The workers looked mean, scary, and looked like they wanted to hurt us. Get someone friendly in there and you'll get higher stars in the review

Damnnnnn Big Mike Sandwich makes a kick A$$ MANWICH for those desiring the finest thing between two buns! The girth of this meaty beast called "The Italian Chopped" sandwich was more than anyone humanly could handle yet I managed to stuff all of that Prosciutto, pepperoni, capocollo, salami, provolone, lettuce, tomato, mayo into my mouth. Included with this 9th wonder of sandwich's was some unique French Fries. Arguably the most refreshing deep fried potato's you'll ever fancy. These crispy delights keep you asking why can't all French fries taste this spectacular. Ok, now that you clued into how awesome the sandwich was please let me share that upon my second visit I grabbed the SMASH-BURGER and hello it blew my taste senses into the stratosphere. With every bite flavor gushed through my body. Big Mike really knows how to use that grill cause defiantly FRANK B didn't expect this from a burger. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Located in The Center House @ Seattle Center you'll want to dine prior to a show or Kraken game. Lots of stuff going on all around you but Big Mikes has seating for its patrons and the staff is super friendly[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. Greatness needs patience. This ain't no fast food joint so each order is prepared for you so make sure you have an extra few minutes for them to prepare , cook and serve, it's defiantly worth the wait. Hopefully you'll have an exceptional dining experience. Thanks and FRANK WILL BE BACK!

I really love any kind of beef or pastrami sandwiches so I drove to Seattle especially for one of these. The fries were great, had no issues with the staff, bread was pretty good, the portions were huge. For some reason the meat just didn't seem fresh, it was just kinda dry and stale. Maybe I got the bottom of the container or something but it wasn't ideal. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall this seems like a cool place, fun environment, but I may have gotten bad luck or something.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Maybe find a way to keep the meat more consistent.

Had the chopped steak fries...man, this is a killer....just picture Philly Cheesecake on fries. Unreal...had to share because it just was too big. Would go back agaib.

If this was another city a food court beside a bunch of tourist areas would be an absolute red flag for food. But I guess Seattle is different. This chopped Italian sandwich was absolutely fantastic, the people behind the counter were great, [[HIGHLIGHT]]I even enjoyed the big indoor armory.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Great stuff.

Chopped sandwiches have been going viral online over the past year or so and I've always wanted to try one but nowhere in WA sold them. Until big Mikes. They've been on my list for some time and the day I actually tried it, was during the bite of Seattle lol. Lines were out of control at most of the booths so my partner and I stepped into the armory and saw big Mikes (not knowing it was here) and gave it a shot. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance - Just a pick up and go shop in a food court.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service - fun bunch behind the counter working but also looked like they were having a good time. Food - It was everything I hoped it would be. This sandwich was so good I almost got another to go. My partner got the chicken sandwich which was good, nothing stand out though. Only gripe is it's a little pricey, each of their sandwiches are around $20. They are pretty decent in size but still a little more than I'd like to spend on a sandwich. That being said, I'll be back to try the Italian beef and chopped cheese!

**Visited on 7/9/2024 A pleasant surprise choice at the food court near Space Needle and the Discovery Center. The shop is located inside a food court and nestled towards the back of the area. My boyfriend and I were wandering around trying to decide on what to eat, when my boyfriend had noticed the Ribeye Sandwich- we immediately made a b-line to get inside. The staff was pretty chill and kind- they were patient and answered all the questions we had. OKAY THE FOOD: * Ribeye sandwich was probably the best sandwich out of all the sandwhiches * Fried Chicken sandwich is quite crispy and VERY filling * Chopped Italian wasn't bad at all, pretty filling though a little lackluster * Crackling Chicken was SOOO TASTY- simple but the PERFECT snack All the food we had ordered ended up tasting absolutely amazing and left us in a food coma which worked well since we ended up walking around Chihuly Glass Museum.

Wanted a quick bite to eat before heading up the Space Needle, so ordered the Italian Chopped Sandwich (Prosciutto, pepperoni, capocollo, salami, provolone, lettuce, tomato, mayo on hoagie bun (with fries and a Coke). Was pretty darn good and would get it again.

Italian Hot Beef (aka Italian Beef) Sandwich - probably the best, and certainly the biggest, Italian Beef that I've had in Seattle

As a former Chicagoan, one of the foods I miss the most is Italian Beef, which was every bit as much of my teen years as Chicago pizza was. Big Mike's Italian (Hot) Beef is the real thing. The sandwich was huge, tasty, and comes with a generous portion of fries. I think that folks with normal appetites could probably split one of these, but I managed to eat the whole thing. I would recommend grabbing a fork or two, and a handful of napkins - the one downside is that it is pretty messy and near-impossible to actually eat as a sandwich. But, compared to stingy portions of beef at other places, this is a good problem to have... This is a great addition to the Armory food court, and at $19 probably one of the best values there. Happy to pay tourist prices for Chicago-sized portions and quality.

I can't speak for New York and the authenticity of a chopped cheese but the one I had from here was more than good enough to make me believe I was back over there. The man behind the counter was cool and welcoming and I knew from the little interaction we had that the food was gonna be worth it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Setting was small so not much to say about that other then that the menu looked cool and that's all there is on that.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Would come back if I remembered.

You have got to try the Ribeye sandwich! It was so good. The NY Chopped Cheese was really good, too! I'm loving this new NY flavors sandwich shop!

Big Mikes is always good and yesterday they stayed true. Our smash burgers with fries stands strong over other nearby burger options.

I would not recommend their $20 Italian chopped sandwich as the chopped up deli meat was lacking in flavor. Fries were also soggy.

Holy stars aligned to get us here…read more We went to a bar down at Pikes and apparently some soccer game was on so noone was eating or drinking but the wait was 90 minutes so we left. Wander down streets and see this place tucked off behind the railroad tracks. Had a couple glasses of water and a sharpie mustache beer while wife debated if she wanted to eat there or not. Got another third side on the moon beer and ordered a Seattle burger (cream cheese, who knew) with tots and an elote. Asked the guy how he felt about the mushrooms and he gave them a very enthusiastic rating so I ordered some. Freaking A. The mushrooms are worth the plae ticket to Seattle. Dill ranch dip. Crispy and delicious. The burger was good, more of a cream cheese sauce. The tots were just as tots should be crunchy on the outside and soft inside The elotes retained their heat for so long that we had them for dessert.

We dropped in for brunch, and were thrilled to find a place that is both pretty and delicious. Service is walk up and quick and friendly. There's a great brunch selection - we got tacos and a breakfast burrito. The potatoes were some of the best I have had. Ambiance is techno retro and comfortable with a waterside vibe (although you can't really see the water). Would recommend!

All the…read moreoutdoor tables were full when we arrived at 6, so we put our name on the list for inside and waited about 30 minutes. The oysters were the main draw for me, and they were totally worth the visit. Old Stove serves them with a savory watermelon sauce in addition to a traditional cocktail sauce--eaten together, it's a flavor explosion that I can't quite describe. We also enjoyed the garlic everything fries, which were delicious! We just had to try a flight to sample the brews. There are some really good beers available here, especially the Belgian blonde, citra pale ale, and the stout. I did not really care for the seasonal sour (grapefruit, I think)--to me, it just tasted like a sour and nothing more, but someone with more interest in sour beers would probably enjoy it just fine. Despite the busy night, our server checked on us regularly and was very personable, stopping to chat with us about the local sports scene. There's plenty to look at, inside and out. If you can snag a seat outside, you'll get to enjoy the waterfront. Inside, the decor is industrial but fun. Not sure if this runs all the time, but when we were there, the tvs were playing vintage beer ads, which was quite fun. They also sell some pretty good t-shirt designs. Overall, Old Stove Brewing is the perfect combo of good location, good food, and good beer. Definitely recommend a visit when in the Pike Place area!

Outside seating is first come first serve and inside seating you have to see a hostess. We started outside and saw someone leaving and circle them like vultures. We got lucky, it was 4th of July weekend, so it was busy! We ordered pizza for the table and for my toddler. It was really good! He loves the pepperoni. My order was the salmon burger. They used a good slab of coho, nicely seasoned with a aioli. The fries were crunchy and nice. I shared with my husband and it was just right, since we had a bunch of apps at the market. We also got a round of beers. Or in my case I got their hard seltzer, which wasn't too bad, I would probably just get a light beer next time. Service was great outside! Also you get the nice breeze, they also had heaters on top. Picnic style tables and quick service!
