Located in the armory, this is pretty much the subway of fry shops. I came here for lunch and didnt have to wait in line. Unfortunately the machine glitched during my transaction so I thought the buttons didnt work and ended up added an extra zero or 2 to my tip. Gotta figure that out at some point. I ordered the nacho fries. I was the only person in line when I first came so my food came out quick. The fries were cooked fresh to order, but not cut fresh. I believe is was pre made and frozen for storage. When i finally got my food, i felt like the presentation wasn't too shabby. Nore was it in a proper to-go box. Since i had time i went ahead and enjoyed my food at their bar. The fries themselves reminded me of burger King fries. To speak on my service, it was pretty basic. The helper couldn't speak much English but I didn't need her to. The flavor was actually kind of good, but My fries tasted barely cooked enough. Luckily they were on the right side of the line so they get a pass. A few people walking by had tried this place already and for sure wanted to discuss the differences in experiencs. Which made someone else walking by chime in and say "WHAT, HOW CAN ANYONE MESS UP MAKING FRIES". This started a whole new debate. somehow they managed to live up tot he "bar" portion of their name. Idk if I would recommend this place based on the convo I had with others. From my own experience, I'd say yes if u just want something quick and cheap. Often I regret eating quick and cheap, but not today. On this visit my food was good for the price. Do be ware, the quality was pretty darn mid to low (essence of taco bell). Either way I had enough for two meals and both times I chowed down pretty hard. No side effects after either so maybe better quality than taco bell or regular fast food. Seriously, WHAT HAPPENED to this place??? This place (pre 2020) was such a great find with a diverse menu and option of flavors. Went back this past weekend at the Armory and was disappointed that there are a whopping two, very unoriginal, fry options (nacho and chili cheese) and now offer plain chicken strips and sandwiches. There is no differentiating factor. This place now tastes like "we have chicken strips and crinkle fries at home" Look I know how hard it is to have a diverse food menu, the costs of it and the stress it adds on a kitchen. FOOD // I ordered the small curly fries with 3 sauces: Sweet & Spicy Mango, Spicy Thai Peanut Sauce, & Cool Guys Fry Bar. The fries were great but the sauces were just okay. The Cool Guys Fry Bar sauce is the one that I used the most. The Spicy Thai Peanut Sauce was okay but it should've been thicker. The fries were good and made to order but definitely had better. The sauces were on point though! The flavors gave life to those potatoes, although they tasted good plain. This place is so bad, I can't think of anything good to say. The food just tastes like frozen grocery store food put into a deep fryer, or as another reviewer put it, "we have fries and chicken strips at home". The hawaiian rolls were extremely stale when we got them today, like inedible - which is unnecessary given that they are so cheap to buy wholesale, it's just lazy and corner cutting to serve stale ones. I saw a whole menu of fries, so I got kind of excited; I had to try something. The fries with the toppings sounded good, but I already ordered a burrito from next door, so I just decided to order the large Curly Fries to share with everyone. Dipping sauces were $0.59 or 3 for $1.59, which isn't too bad compared to what some other places charge, and it was a good size. There are lots of dipping sauces to choose from, and I got Curry Ketchup (it was really watery, tasted okay), Cool Guys Fry Sauce (everyone's favorite), and Habanero Mayo (not too bad). Just a disclaimer this is 2 stars for only what I've tried which was the garlic and herb chicken dog. The hotdog was overcooked for me and tough. There wasn't a garlic and herb flavor at all really. I just had regular fries so I can't really give a fair rating since there wasn't anything special on it. The fries itself weren't as crunchy as I liked, and to me didn't have a good balance of flavor (but I do like my fries salty). This place is FRY HEAVEN! I love love fries. Its basically my most favorite food item! I visited the Armory for the Winter Wonderland during December and found this great snack place. I shared regular fries and curly fries with my friends and got the cheese and sriracha ketchup dipping sauces. There are so many fries and sauces to choose from! The fries are made fresh and come out piping hot! It is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, just how I like them. Damn good friiies... so good I went twice while on vacation to Seattle. My girlfriend and I split the Mexi Madness and Sriracha Samurai Sword our first visit... good lord, delicious. The Sriracha Samurai Sword basically tastes like pad thai with sweet potato fries in place of noodles and is pretty easily the best "loaded" fries I've had. The Mexi Madness fries were good, but were made a lot better when we shaked some of the Baja seasoning on them. Next visit we got the BBQ Throwdown fries, and they weren't anywhere near as good as the other two. I don't know what it was, maybe the BBQ sauce, but it was too salty. Despite that, they were still easily worth the price. A last note... Cool Guys claims they have "fresh" lemonade, but it tastes like it's possibly just fresh from a jug. It's still refreshing, but it doesn't really taste like fresh lemonade normally does. In any event, this is definitely one of the better food options at The Armory. If you don't consider fries a meal, they also have a number of hot dogs on the menu -- I didn't try any of them, but if they're even half as good as the fries, they're worth having. read more

So, they forgot to make our order. After 15 mins waiting for just a dog, we asked to find out the cook hadn't received our ticket. Grr! So we waited another 7 mins to get our darn hot dog. It was overpriced and average. While waiting, we saw them break health code. Had a customer hand her half eaten cardboard tray over the counter/food, then he scooped some fresh fries into her dish, giving it back to her. That's just unsanitary. Health codes should never be compromised. Regardless of the reason, make her a fresh tray, never take customer food in and out of the kitchen. Really should have read the reviews before stopping here. I don't think I have ever had a worse Fry. I don't think they added any salt to them and anyone who loves a good fry knows, you have to add salt right when they come out of the fryer. I had mine with chicken strips and the strips were also void of flavor, not to mention burned. My suggestion would be a higher quality spud. Flavorless taters are for haters. I would also suggest better chicken strips that are meatier and juicier. Now that Frankfurter is gone, I would also add more dogs.
