    Sausage n Pepper Calzone
    E. C.

Food mediocre, had Sausage & Pepper Calzone. Tomato sauce bland, had very little cheese or sausage, mostly sauce n peppers. Counted 6 thin sliced sausage coins in the calzone, half a sausage worth. For $15.50 you'd think a full size sausage sliced up be more worth it. I've seen more cheese in a grilled cheese sandwich. Heirloom tomato w burrata salad was okay. Had to ask for balsamic vinegar to give it some flavor. Emily bartender kinda snotty attitude. First time here, not impressed.

Sorry to leave this review. I was here about 2 years ago with friends. Wanted to revisit for a ladies lunch June 4 2026. Of course I ordered the chicken since my last visit it was memorable. Unfortunately this visit yielded dry chicken and 2 sad overcooked potato wedges. I didn't even finish. Only coleslaw was worthy of finishing. My friend ordered a Mac ball appetizer. I dont recommend but the red sauce it was in did pass a tasty check. No one at my table finished the food. Service was so so. I only had water, but that was never refilled by our lone waitress. Maybe that was the problem? I saw her having to work the bar and some of the dining I had to take the tip to the bar to make sure she ( waitress) got her cash tip. Even if im not thrilled by a place the help will still get their $. I saw lots of patrons so I think some folks love the place, but I won't be back.

When I worked in El Sereno this was the place for happy hour and lunch. I haven't been here for a few years and wanted to see how it changed. The place has been remodeled more booths and tables and it gives a homey feeling. The waitress seated us and took our order quickly. We were given bread and an oil, wine vinegar dish for dipping. We order the children's alfredo , fried Mac n cheese and a boasted chicken meal. The kids received their meal quickly and we waited for our appetizer which didn't come. Our chicken meal and adult alfredo came, still no Mac n cheese??? We inquired and finally we were told that it wasn't ready or could it be forgotten? We told the waitress that we no longer wanted it because our meals were here.. The meals were all very good and we will be back , it got a 4 because we should have been told before our meals came that the app wasn't ready and not after.

In my opinion, they could use a bartender thats isn't rude and nasty. That doesnt yelling at customers

I've driven by this place multiple times and we were finally able to enjoy! Stopped by on a Sunday evening for family dinner. I saw a dish as we were sat and new I had to try it. The waiter new what It was and it turns out it's not on the menu. It was delicious, although I don't remember the name, I did take a picture and added it here (first pic). Family friendly ambiance, our server was great and attentive!

I had the breasted chicken lunch with spaghetti. I also ordered the 9 piece broasted chicken.

After reading an article about the best supermarket fried chicken, I had that on my mind when we were out and my wife asked what's for dinner. My answer was Charlie's Trio, she said okay and there we went without hesitation. Their broasted/fried chicken is the best and is always satisfying. Maybe the photo below will get you hungry?

Went in for dinner after 630pm and boy was it busy. We were told the wait would be 30 minutes but we were called closer to 15. That was a pleasant surprise. The restaurant and bar area was filled with Dodger fans watching the game. We were a party of 7. The service was okay, the food was good it just took way too long. I saw that pizzas came out a whole lot faster. So i may just do salads and pizza next time.

Small parking lot in the back, very narrow or street parking. They have a bar area where people can eat and watch the game that is on their tv. Their host station can be seen from both the front entrance and the back entrance. It was a casual atmosphere and a family environment. They had a happy hour menu and provided free bread as you wait for your food. Their broasted chicken was crispy and flavorful! I also forgot how large a large Ceasars salad was. The lettuce was crisp, cold, and the seasoning was just right! My friend really enjoyed the salad! I also enjoyed their mozzarella cheese sticks! The server was really attentive to our needs and patient as my friend was waiting for me to arrive. Did you know they have a Sunday brunch?

I've been a fan of Charlie Trio for years, and it never disappoints! Every time I come, I'm reminded why I love this place so much the food is always fresh, flavorful, and made with care. This time I went with a friend for dinner, and I decided to try something new the Southwest Pasta, which my husband always orders. Oh my goodness... it was SO delicious! Creamy, perfectly seasoned, and full of flavor I think it's going to be my new favorite from now on My friend ordered the same dish, and she completely agreed. We waited about 25 minutes to be seated, but it was definitely worth the wait. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the service was great as always. What I also love about Charlie Trio is the cozy and relaxed atmosphere it's quiet enough to enjoy a nice conversation but still has a warm, inviting vibe. Whether you're coming with family, friends, or for a casual date night, it's always a pleasant experience. Highly recommend this spot great food, great people, and consistently wonderful service. Can't wait to come back!

Went there for dinner with friends but happened to get there early enough for their Monday - Friday happy hour that was 4-6 pm., so we ordered off the HH menu. The food was amazing! Portions generous and everything was delicious. The ribs was a meal in itself as was the spaghetti and pizza! Mozzarella was definitely homemade and delicious and the calamari! Yum! We got in a 2nd order with minutes to spare lol. Prices were amazing and service was great! Loved the hustle and bustle but also the ambiance of a nice family restaurant or date night place. They have a bar on the other side of the lobby too but happy hour is served in the main dining area too.

What a treat, I was in the area for an early morning showing and lucky for me this was around the block. Made it just in time before a Saturday lunch rush sat at the bar ordered water a glass of white wine "Thomas Henry" tasty and a Ceaser salad. Listen I'm not sure if saying it was a delightful treat is even fair because I even scraped the dressing with my bread off the plate Lol! The small portion is a lot so if you're sharing I would say you can do this one for two and the Large for three. Shout to Ana she was great , stop hurting them Lol soccer players do cry a lot. That was hilarious I almost spit out my salad. Parking was easy lots of it , service was fast the place was spotless shoutout to you all. I'll be back for brunch, Thank you so much!!

    Chicken Fettuccini Alfredo
    Vanna T.

Stopped by for lunch for the first time and had a disappointing experience. Ordered the southwest pasta, chicken fettuccine alfredo, and lasagna. They offered complimentary garlic bread only for the first round then you have to pay for more. The pasta dishes weren't flavorful and tasty. Service was meh, the servers weren't that attentive and pleasant. This place looks very old and kinda run down. Won't be coming back here.
