Went for dinner tonight and it was amazing! Very quick full course dinner we had bread, appetizers, dinners and desserts. Don't forget about the drinks! Phenomenal! Lots of people in the dinning room with lots of yummy looking food! Hands down best oysters I've had and best crab cakes! Will be back!

Complimentary Brunch Fruit Cup with Assorted Pastry Basket
    Michelle M.

Stopped in here for brunch on a Sunday. The hostess couldn't seat us in the dining room since we did not have a reservation, but offered for us to sit in the open seating in the bar area instead. The waitress brought us a couple of complimentary fruit cups filled with diced cantaloupe, honeydew and pineapple pieces and a basket with 3 pastries in it. The fruit was enjoyable, but only 1 of the 3 pastries was worth the carb calories. For my Main I ordered the Banana's Foster Pancakes with candied bacon and it was luciously delicious! The Bacon slices were crisp and deliciously bacony even with the sweet sauce slathered on them. The pancakes were quite large and very fluffy just like I like them and topped with rum sauce syrup, 2 bacon slices, banana slices and whipped cream. It could have easily been shared with someone else and my date did try to help me finish it off after he finished his main, but we both cried uncle before finishing it off so I still had to box some up to bring home. It was just as good leftover heated in the microwave. Those pancakes are the stuff dreams are made of so I hope they leave them on the menu indefinitely! In the meantime, I will be trying to concoct a copycat version at home.

Best restaurant in Golden Nugget. Great food, service and atmosphere. We eat here at least twice a month.

First off, I am very glad there is Thai restaurant in Lake Charles. There needs to be a couple of…read moremore. I think they have the right idea, but I will have to disagree on their execution. We got the Spring Rolls, Pad Thai, and the Pad KraPrao. Overall the food tasted good, not great. My biggest complaint is that the peanut sauce was something I've never seen (as in DID NOT LIKE) seen. It's some kind of clear liquid thing. They could buy peanut sauce in the Asian section at any grocery store and it would be better. Next was the Pad Thai. It was good, but it feels like they are more worried about the spice level than the quality of the dish. Lastly was the Pad KraPrao. I have eaten at too many Thai restaurants to count, and they all serve this dish the same way: rice on the bottom and the PKP on top. Nice and easy. This place served it (and all the dishes I saw) like Chinese food: Two huge plates, one with rice and one with the PKP. That coupled with the taste (not very good) means that I will not order that again. I will give them another chance. I'll take my own peanut sauce for the spring rolls, and pick a recommendation off of these other reviews.

My crawfish poboy was okay. And I say that because I wasn't expecting a full potato slice so it was extremely hard and messy to eat lol. Overall I would definitely recommend if you're in the area!

Pretty easy to get to when traveling east on I-10. We found easy parking, Buffi's is at the corner of Broad & Bilbo Street. Great vibes right from the get go. There's a pretty mural on the side of the building, great photo op for those that are doing it for the 'Gram. The interior is cutely decorated, black and white checkered table cloths. It's self service at the counter. After looking over the menu, we decided on a small bowl of Shrimp & Corn Chowder along with a full size All American Peauxboy. I'm not a corn guy but my wife said the chowder was delicious. The Peauxboy was fantastic. If you would have told me the bread was baked an hour before I ate the sandwich, I would have believed you. It was so fresh & so delicious! We might have a new stop for our roadtrips when headed east. It was a great first meal on our weekend getaway.
