I came here for lunch for the first time with a friend and ate at the bar. The service was professional however the waitress messed up my friends order as there was cheese on his salad when he asked for there to be none; he has strict diet restrictions. The room itself was nice and airy. However the food was just simply awful. The lobster in my bisque was absolutely not fresh and seemed to be pulled right out of a fridge and my caesar salad had flimsy stale lettuce and croutons and it was sloppily overdressed. Although to be fair the taste of the bisque itself was solid. I asked for this salad to be removed from my bill and they did so however it took the waitress having to go into the kitchen to be confirmed. You would think when I told them I was not eating this salad they would have automatically taken it off the bill. Nonetheless I am appreciative that they did ultimately remove this item. Lastly, I had the club sandwich. The bread was dainty and the chicken chewy like a gummy bear. The lettuce/onion/tomato was flimsy; not fresh at all and was looking for a bit of a snap as you bite into it. The fries that came along with the sandwich were tasteless. Overall: I recommend this place only to get a drink as the bar is nice and has large tv's. Other then that SAVE YOUR MONEY. I'd rather blow my money in the casino, at least it would be a bit more of an enjoyable experience and I'd be getting served "free" alcohol. read more

The service was decent, the food was *ok*, but the price was a bit high for what you got. I understand markups, but few of the wines were over $40 commercially, while most were priced well over $100 per bottle. The lamb was bland and tough, even though it was cooked properly, medium rare. The tuna was very good and the sides were also well prepared, but again, the pricing was not really commensurate with quality. They sat us immediately and Anthony was nice, tho he seemed a bit overwhelmed and awkward. Good kid with lots of potential. Needs polish. Not sure I'd go back, but maybe. With a coupon? Had brunch today and it was delicious! We ordered the crab stack appetizer. So refreshing and tasty! For our entrees we ordered French Toast and the shrimp and grits entree. My French toast was yummy, and it came with a roasted tomato and potato coins. My boyfriends shrimp and grits looked and smelled fantastic. He was struggling to decide between the prime rib hash and the shrimp. He really enjoyed his choice and I think next time he'll try the hash. Everything looked great, and based on what we had today I'm sure it'll live up to our expectations. Our server, Colin, was friendly and not over bearing. He was there any time we needed something but did not hover. Michal, the manager, greeted us after walking in, brought us to our table, and checked on us throughout the meal. Hosted seated dinner for 33 people after wedding. Working with the Executive Chef Josh was a dream come true. There is so much to say about Josh, it's impossible to say it all. He was on top of everything from beginning to end. We had great food with a choice of prime rib and salmon. I was told by everyone the salmon was out of this world. The servers assigned to our group were very nice and on top of wine re-fills, kids meals and timely service of each course. If you want to plan an event at the Chart House at the Golden Nugget, ask for Josh. He helped me so much and was always gracious when I started changing the menu with 3 weeks to go. Went to Chart House for their Happy hour. The restaurant is beautiful, sunsets amazing. The food was awful!! Service was slow, gruff and seemed uncaring. Our waiter recommended the beef tenderloin sliders, shrimp tacos and the calamari. The slider buns were burnt on top. The meat was overcooked shaved pieces of beef something with melted cheese. They were beyond terrible. My friend, Dad and I did not eat them. The shrimp tacos were fishy and shrimp seemed to be frozen and just not restaurant quality. The calamari had decent flavor but again, fishy and chewy...My friend had eaten here before and had the prime rib and said it was good. The waiters were really pushing the prime rib, I'm thinking because it is the one good item they produce. I was so excited to eat there, but will never go back , as well as my friend. Service is just as important to me as the food and ambiance of an establishment. Chart House exceeded my expectations in all avenues. My wife and I booked this venue for a lunch event to celebrate our union. Matt and Michal not only reserved the date for us, they created a menu to our liking and effortlessly strived to anticipate all needs. In addition, accomodations were made for our expected group of twenty, such as organizing the inside dining area and rearranging the outside patio. Every discussed detail was completed upon arrival, above and beyond our expectations. The staff was extremely courteous and prompt with our guests' requests. The food was not only aesthetically pleasing but very good and plentiful. Of course, drinks complimented our meal. The wide variety provided us with an array of options. From a very clean & mature atmosphere with a warm fireplace and a beautiful view of the lake overlooking the majestic golf course. Even the smallest of details had a lavish touch, I am referencing the lavatories which were taken to another level. Kudos to the management and staff at Chart House. We will be back! read more

It has taken me awhile to get this review posted, but I want to make sure that I highly commend Michael Stanak and the staff at Chart House for the outstanding Paul Hobbs Wine Dinner on November 29th. I can't begin to express how wonderful the food was and how great the service. The five-course meal rivaled any that I have had in major cities like New York, Chicago, San Francisco, etc. It is difficult to say which course was my favorite because they were all wonderful, from the Main Lobster Profiterole to the Raspberry Flambé Shortcake. However, if I had to pick one it would be the Pork Belly and Poached Pears. The Pork Belly was tender and moist, and the pears gave just the right amount of fruity sweetness to the meat. The Pomegranate Mint Sorbet cleansed the pallet to get ready for the Braised Short Rib Ravioli which was cooked perfectly; ravioli was al dente and the mushroom ragout with truffle glace de veau helped bring the short ribs to the front. Everything was paired with the perfect Paul Hobbs wine. Thank you, Michael and Chart House, for a fantastic evening. I hope you will offer a similar dining experience in the future. We always enjoy the food at the Chart House, but this night was exceptional. read more
