Authentic food, great service. We arrived on Sunday for dinner, and there was hardly any customers.

not the best looking place. Went for dinner, so no buffet. But the food was good, fast and plenty to fill you up.

Started off with bad customer service and ended with bad food. I would not recommend this food to anyone. Pathetic!!!

Friendly folks. Food is A-OK (nothing to write home about though). Great option if you're in the area and want some Indian.

I just love the food in chaska grill. Usually I go there on Saturdays and every time I had the best and fresh food. Highly recommended...

The place where you can get the dry food. The rice is all dry. No neatness and the same old buffet evrytime. Really waste of money

This place is so unassuming? You order your food at the counter and find your self a comfy spot. Big digital menu if you have a lot of bodies that need to look... or paper menu on counter. The service is so stellar. The man was very patient while we tried to figure which choice we wanted. He took time to make recommendations based on what I was asking. It wasnt auper busy at this point, so he even gave some samples of his more popular items! I ended up getting the Tikka Beef over rice, small. Husband order just a plain ole cheese burger and side of mozzerlla sticks and a can of sprite. The cheese burger? Simplistic, but chefs kiss. The cheese melt was beautiful, the beef patty was juicy and gentle flavor. My husband rarely eats onions or tomatoes on his burger.. and he ate the entire thing as is. The detail to butter and toast the bun just right is thoughtful. I got to try a bite, and it was not a disappointment. The rice and beef was good! Beef was sooooooo tender, and the small.portion was just right for me. We got the mango lassi and reall enjoy that as well. We cannot wait to come back with the rest of the pack to try this place, and will be directing traffic this way! Ps. They have waffle fries, it is not on the menu :)

Oh my goodness, I wanted to love this place. It's been around forever and I recall coming here in…read moremy very distant past. We planned to meet at 6 pm on a Tuesday. The place was empty and boy were we popular! LOL We still needed to wait for our third. We were visited a few times before she arrived. I really can't complain about attentiveness. The restaurant itself seems clean, but there was nothing extraordinary about the decor. FYI - other people did arrive while we were there. The entire experience was all over the board. The service was over the top, but certainly attentive. The food was good, but not great. We all ordered Dal Soup, and here's where things went slightly awry. Mark and I received our soup first. It was good. Another bowl of soup (?!?) arrived for our friend. It was THICK compared to mine. In fact, mine was fully liquid and hers was overflowing with lentils. THEN... another soup came out. We were so very confused we were still asking about the thick lentil soup (?) at the end of the meal. We were told it is supposed to be eaten with the rice, or whatever you might be eating. I'm still not sure I understand. I ordered my go-to, Saag Paneer. Mark and I split a Garlic Naan. The naan was great. The flavor, the temperature, the consistency.. it was perfect. My Saag Paneer was good, but when it was delivered the server called it something along the lines of 'Chicken Saag', which is not what I ordered. I mentioned I ordered Saag Paneer, which cheese, not chicken. She then told me it was Saag Paneer. Indeed it was, but can we compound the overall confusion for the evening? Yes we can. Mark had Chicken Tikka Malasa or something similarly named. Be ordered it with a spiciness of 5 out of 6. His review of his meal... it was hot (and he likes "hot") and that was about it. Flavor was either overpowered by the spice level or simply didn't exist. Either way, he was unimpressed... and he loves Indian food. It's really his review that brings us to a three-star review. I tasted one small piece of our friend's Tandoori Chicken. This was after she packed leftovers for her daughter. The piece I tried was small, tender and had a strong flavor of some type of sauce. I think generally the Tandoori Chicken was dry (meaning not wet), but there had to be some sauce on the plate. Bottom line... for us, Ambar India Restaurant provided typical Indian cuisine. And though the staff were super attentive, we found ourselves confused. The food is good and if you live in the area it's a good spot for Indian, though there are many options in the area. We hadn't been in decades. Our most recent visit won't bring us back... mostly because there are so many Indian options in the city. Ambar isn't one we'll need to come back to. Sorry, no pics.
