Ordered from the kiosk and it was quick and simple. But if you go when they have deals, expect long wait times for drinks. Thai green tea is still the best. I dont think i can go back to regular thai tea if i come to cha tra mue. Perfect place to experience thailand weather. They have no ac but they do have fans blowing. It actually might be a bit cooler than thailand.
Went to the viet restaurant and stopped by to check out the store. Got me a Assam milk tea with grass jelly and the butterfly drink, they both taste good, though they are known for their Thai tea, maybe that's the move next time. They got plenty of tables and the ordering is on the tablet so no need to talk to anyone either! :)
The place had nice seating and was clean. Parking is hard to get when the plaza is packed! The staff were nice. I got the milk tea and WOW, was it sweet!!! I even got less sweetness. I usually get 70%, but for this store I'd recommend 30%. It was a bit hard to drink due to the sweetness, and you couldn't really taste the tea because of it. I'd be open to trying it again.
WOOHOO finally got to try CTM in the big R #shoutoutBf The green Thai tea is very fragrant, and very sweet (obv at 100%). Josh got the orange original Thai tea at 70% sweetness and it was a very deep Thai tea flavor, which was really yummy. If I were to go again, I would definitely get the green Thai tea and maybe try to bump it down to 70% sweetness... or maybe if it was just a warmer day I would get it still at 100% sweetness and just let the ice melt a little bit. I think 2 drinks was a total of $11- so p good :)
ChaTraMue Original Thai Tea showed up on Yelp while I was strolling for a boba shop. i dint realize the significance of this place until I left the shop (reading the cup). We were quickly greeted upon entering. We were directed to order at the kiosk. The tea shop is known for classic Thai milk tea and Thai green milk tea -- unfortunately both wasn't that great. My Thai Green milk tea at 30% was still quite very sweet and taste very artificial! There were other variety of drink options, including specialty teas and rose tea. The ability to customize sweetness levels -- saw a 130% and add toppings at the kiosk was convenient. This month to celebrate Chinese New Year -- each $10 purchases you get a lunar year scratcher ticket that you have until May to redeem.
3.7 stars I've had good Thai tea and it seems like the Thai tea here is good. I don't know if I can say it's the BEST Thai tea I've ever had, but it's decent and I like that the sugar level is adjustable. I ordered it at 30% sugar and thought it was still very sweet. The tea itself is a bit astringent, which I'm not a huge fan of. I used the kiosk, so my interactions with the tea baristas were limited. Prices were reasonable. I'd come back to try other things, but this isn't a location I'd go out of my way for. Bonus points for free parking!
Recently came in for some Thai tea but noticed they got some new seasonal options! I tried their biscoff matcha thai tea which was really good. If you like biscoff cookies then you won't be disappointed. On top of the biscoff crumbs that they put on top of the drink, they'll also give you a biscoff cookie too to dip into the drink. I look forward to getting their other drinks They also have a lunar new year celebration going on right now too. Spend 10 dollars and get a scratcher. Everyone wins. Prizes include: a tumbler (limited supply), BOGO Coupon, a free drink, and one of their many unique tea tins!
Cha Tra Mue have managed to maintain the taste and quality same like in Thailand. It's a daily go to brand tea shop for people in Thailand. I always get Jasmine Thai green milk tea or Rose oolong Milk tea. Tried the Pandan boba with Jasmine green tea it didn't taste anything special or couldn't taste much of pandan. I get butterfly pea Jasmine green tea from Bangkok. Wish you would have that milk tea option on your menu. Service was quick and plenty of space to sit and free WiFi for guests. Just give this place a try for a different kind of Jasmine green Thai milk tea.
It was great to finally try ChaTraMue! I've always relied on buying the leaves but it's a different experience trying how the brand makes it. The store was clean and drinks were ready within ten minutes of me placing the online order. The packaging is cute but I think the lids are badly designed in terms of keeping the liquid from spilling. It wasn't too bad for my drinks since the workers added some parchment paper as a seal. But for people who bought the hot drinks, the lids caused it to spill. The only solution for folks in that case is to remove the lid or the workers need to figure out something else to create a better seal. Especially if it's likely the workers cannot use different packaging. It was also nice to see the tea leaves that you can just buy. I ended up getting the regular Thai Tea leaves for $8 but if the Thai Green Tea came in a smaller tin, I would've gotten it as well. $12 for Thai Green Tea felt a bit too much.
ChaTraMue is located near Shin Sen gumi and Golden Delight. There's plenty of parking but it can get busy at night and on the weekends. They have self-serve kiosks with a great selection of drinks. They had some many drinks and toppings that I haven't seen before. Such as slushy teas and pandan boba! The interior is clean and is a nice place for a brief catch up with a friend. It's not ideal for studying or hangouts for big groups as the tables are small and the music is a little too loud for me to get work done. There was only one longer table for a group. But they do have plenty of outlets if you don't mind the loud music. The matcha was solid, but I don't think it's their specialty. The boba was still warm in my drink and had some good chew to it. The Thai tea was very good. Creamy and strong tea flavor. Would definitely recommend their thai tea. 70% sweet was just right for me if you get boba with it. Unfortunately they ran out of honey pandan boba, so I hope to try it next time.
My husband and I stopped by ChaTraMue for the first time Sunday, 12/21/2025 at around 2:20 PM. I've been wanting to try out this place but just haven't gotten around to it. We ordered the following: Original Thai Tea $6.50 - It was recommended to get 100% sweet, but I felt like that was too sweet for my own liking. I wish you could customize a little more than just 50%, 75%, etc. The drink itself was tasty, classic thai tea flavor, but next time I'll cut down on the sugar. I also am not a fan of the fact that you cannot customize the ice levels since I'm a less ice kind of girl. Lime Lychee Honey Rose Tea $7.25 (prices as of 12/2025) - My husband ordered this. I thought it was funny how they give you plenty of warning signs that rose tea is a laxative. This drink is on the pricier side, and it was sweet, tangy, citrusy, and refreshing. The rose tea did not give potpourri-vibes, and I would definitely consider reordering this, but maybe less sweet as well. Shop Interior: The store was clean, and they had cute Christmas decor all throughout. There were a few seating booths available. It looked like a group of people were studying with their laptops when we came. Customer Service: We ordered through the self-ordering kiosk so not as much interaction with the employees. However, they were nice and courteous. The drinks were prepared pretty quickly. Parking: The shop is located in a popular lot. Although there were plenty of cars coming in and out, there were still parking spots when we came. All in all, I'd be back!
I had a good experience at ChaTraMue (Rosemead). I ordered the Thai Green Milk Tea ($6.50 - Large - 22oz - 70% Sweetness) with Honey Pandan Boba (additional 75 cents). It's a roasted green tea mix with jasmine in condensed milk. It's refreshing & tasty! I arrived at ChaTraMue (Rosemead) on Thursday (around 11:16AM). Parking felt easy since it wraps around the building. I parked in the Empire Commercial Center lot. Staff is professional and welcoming. Customers can order on the two clean self-service kiosks or the counter. I disliked how the kiosks require a cell phone number to proceed; however, it's easy to use. Although Staff interaction felt minimal, I appreciated how Staff put effort towards greeting me. "Have a great day!" she'd exclaim. My drink took three minutes and 42 seconds. Good pace. I appreciated the Thai Green Milk Tea ($6.50 - Large - 22oz - 70% Sweetness) with Honey Pandan Boba (additional 75 cents). There's thoughtful flavors. The milk successfully carried a crisp, fresh tea flavor. Unfortunately, I think 70% sweetness was too strong & sweet since the taste of "sugary cereal milk" eventually became the primary taste. The honey pandan boba felt playful and squishy; however, the texture resembled very soft gummy bears or Gushers. It's enjoyable, but the soft texture could be off-putting. All in all, the drink was thirst quenching and refreshing. Regarding ambiance, ChaTraMue (Rosemead) is a study/work paradise!! There's 10 electrical outlets! Wow!! The location is also very clean and shiny. The location also includes customer internet with password; the information is taped onto the counter's translucent frame. There's also a gender neutral restroom in the back. The location also felt spacious and well-ventilated. There's nine tables and one tall counter. The seats felt plush and comfortable. Also, strong, clear music echoes within its walls. There's genuine utility hidden within ChaTraMue (Rosemead). Overall, I enjoyed my visit to ChaTraMue (Rosemead). There's thoughtful drinks; the location offers an excellent study/work spot; and staff is friendly. I left happy. 4.8 out of 5

I ordered their signature Thai iced tea, and it did not disappoint. The flavor is a little different from other places, in a good way. I also really like their cups; they add a nice touch. Plenty of parking, wifi available, limited seating LOVE LOVE LOVE the service here, always greeted when walking in and they always ask if the drink is good and if we need to make any modifications. High quality tea and service + reasonably priced drinks! Green Thai Tea 10/10 ALWAYS hits even at 50/75% sweet Thai Tea 10/10 My friend and I come by at least once a month and the drinks are consistently good each time, we love this spot!! We had to try the famous original Thai tea from ChaTraMue so we made a trip during a rainy day. We weren't the only ones with that idea. Ordering is at the tablet, but there's a large menu behind the counter and right as you walk in as well. They are known for their Thai tea and their green Thai Tea, which has matcha flavor in it. They also have other teas such as rose tea which are supposed to have a laxative effect. I'm not sure how strong it is, but the yuzu rose tea did catch my eyes. Based on other yelpers' reviews who said the Thai teas are too sweet, we tried the original Thai tea and green Thai tea at 30% sweetness. IMO, they were not very good at 30% sweetness because all I could taste was the milk and tannin. We asked to have the sugar level adjusted, and they automatically switched it to 70% sweetness (also what is recommended by them) and they tasted way better. Perhaps I'm just used to Thai teas on the sweeter side. But in general, I thought the Thai tea was just OK. The green Thai tea has less tannin flavor and is more subtle, so I might prefer that over the original Thai tea. Overall, I would return to try the other non-Thai tea drinks, such as the Yuzu rose tea! read more

The green Thai tea is my favorite! It's very fragrant and I personally prefer it over regular Thai tea. They also sell tea leaves here. Service was fast. The parking lot can be a bit hard to get out of during rush hour. read more
First time I've had ChaTraMue was in Hong Kong in TST. They had a soft serve that was amazing. I finally got to try their Thai tea and green Thai tea. The green one is the winner! It's the best one I've tried as compared to many other places. 30% sweet is perfect (I usually get 50-75% sweet at other places). I didn't care too much for the Thai tea. You can order online to schedule a pick up time. I highly recommend as the shop was quite busy on the weekend! Parking lot is shared with a bunch of other businesses. read more

I always loved getting this when I was passing by Chinatown, and now I love how it's so close to home!! I visited on a weekday night and it was not busy at all. The interior and seating were all very clean. Plenty of space to work quietly. I ordered the Thai green milk tea with pandan boba and the service here was really quick. I took a sip and honestly, for some reason, it didn't really taste like the original from the one I had in Chinatown. It tasted more milkier, and the tea taste wasn't as prominent. I thought the pandan boba was also too chewy, but I realized you have to let it sit in your drink, and it gets to a nice chewy point! The pandan boba was on point but the tea was a bit off. I wasn't sure if it made be the barista who was making it, but maybe I'll try it again next time or another drink here. read more

I have been wanting to try ChaTraMue since I heard about their Thai tea, but unfortunately they're so far away! Now that a new location has opened up in SGV, I was eager to try the drinks to see what the fuss is all about. The location isn't the most ideal - located inside the same plaza as Good Alley and Shin Sen Gumi so parking is horrendous on weekends. We came on a weekday evening right before closing, so luckily we found parking right away. Ordering is done through the kiosks - they have a good amount of drinks including milk teas, coffees, lattes, and other special drinks. I didn't try their popular Thai tea, but I did get the Thai green milk tea. Thai green milk tea: ordered this at full sweetness with less ice. The recommended sweetness is 70% - 100% was definitely too sweet. I liked it - nice flavor and would definitely go well with boba. Wouldn't mind ordering again. $4.95 plus $1 upgrade to large Also tried jasmine milk tea with boba - $6.25 for large plus $0.65 for boba. Would prob go 70% next time. At first, I felt like the taste was a bit bland but as I continued to drink it, I found myself liking it more. Boba was cooked on point - super chewy. Also got the Thai milk coffee - $5.50. This is their coffee sweetened with condensed milk. I think this drink got better with time - it was a bit bitter at first. Definitely recommend if you're a coffee lover! Shop is pretty small but there's chairs for customers to sit and chat. Drinks came out fairly quickly! Will definitely be back to try more drinks! read more
Grand opening BOGO deal and raffle! Came and lined up at 11:15am and there was already a line. We waited an hour and inside, staff were organized and quick. No ice adjustments. You get a raffle ticket and blind plastic egg per order. We got the gold Thai tea mix and the regular Thai tea mix (not sure the difference?) For drinks, we got the green Thai tea slush (one size only) and green Thai milk tea. Sizing up was $1. We waited another 10 min for the drinks which is not bad honestly. I definitely do not remember the size being so small. When I visited the first location by LAX-C market back when they just started out, there was only one size. Sadly, the drink regular size is so much smaller now. Usually, my go-to would either be the Cocoa Milk or the Thai Lemon Tea, but I went for the Thai Tea this time. 100% sweetness is recommended, but I'll have to decrease it to 70% or lower, as it's still pretty sweet. Also doesn't look like there's a Thai Tea soft serve or Thai Tea Float at this location. read more
Lots of seating available here. The drinks come out relatively quickly. I've tried the Thai tea and rose milk tea with pandan boba and really enjoyed both. You can even get their teas to take home or bring back as gifts. The staff are friendly, there's also a couple ordering screens at the front. A ChaTraMue in the 626! I was so excited for this location to open so I don't have to drive to Chinatown. My favorite drink to order is their Thai Tea. I recently discovered their Honey Pandan Boba and I am a fan. It's a good addition to the thai tea. This location sadly doesn't have the soft serve ice cream like the Chinatown location. Parking here might be a bit tough on weekend since it's in a share plaza. read more
Service was great, was greeted upon entering and staff calls out your name when your drink is ready. You'll also get a text. Staff is really nice, saw them answering any questions customers had. There are 2 self-ordering kiosks on the right when you walk in. I tried the vegan rose milk tea. The vegan version is with oat milk. I liked this drink! The rose flavor is subtle and not in your face/too strong. I would describe the drink overall as light and on the watery side (not heavy). As for the ambiance, the interior is so classy and seats are comfortable. There is free wifi but the music playing in the background may be loud. At around 4:30pm on a Saturday, the seats were empty and everyone was getting their drinks to go. There are outlets under the seats to charge your laptop if you want to work here. read more
So good! My family loves thai tea so we were all very excited to try. We got two signature thai teas (one with egg pudding) and two thai green teas (one with pandan boba). They were so good especially with 30% sugar. The pandan boba was also very soft and chewy; definitely will be getting it again! The service was quick as it was pretty empty on a Friday afternoon. This place is a casual tea spot. There are tables to chat and enjoy your drink along with free WiFi as well. There's a big parking lot in the plaza so parking is not a problem. read more

Came to this location on Wednesday at 6 pm and there was no wait. All of their teas use tea straight from Thailand and taste super authentic! I got the Thai Green Milk tea with pandan boba. Their 70% sweetness level is not too sweet, and still held the tea flavor. The boba is not too hard and I could actually taste the pandan. Right now they have their 80th anniversary sale, which is 2 large signature drinks for 8 dollars but only until end of Sept. from 4 to 10 pm! read more
Finally got to try the infamous Thai tea from here!Thankfully there was no wait and the service was friendly and fast. I ordered via their tablet and got the oolong milk tea, orignal Thai tea bucket, and Thai green milk tea all with pandan boba (which was soft and chewy just as it should be). The bucket one does have a lot of ice though, so I wonder if it would be possible to ask the staff for less ice in it since the tablet did not give that option. I would say it's worth trying but I only will get it if I am in the area again. read more

I stumbled upon this place after grabbing lunch right next door at Good Alley. So happy to find a unique and different bubble tea place. They specialize specifically in Thai tea and have many different variations of it, although they have other options as well like rose tea. Service here is amazing and they're super friendly, especially considering they are still in their soft opening phase. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they actually also had Wi-Fi and outlets in case you wanted to sit down and get some work done or catch up with friends. The ambiance is also pretty cute and they have lots of references of their Thai background here. I actually heard from a friend that this place is popular in Thailand after I visited. I would definitely come back here if I found myself on this side of valley boulevard again read more

So happy to have one in SGV now! My first experience was at their Chinatown location and it was amazing. I have had a lot of thai teas in my life and this is definitely one of, if not, the best thai tea I ever had. The sweetness level was perfect and the roast has so much depth that it challenges other thai teas. I know this is their 2nd location in the US and I'm grateful it's in the LA area. It's located in a busy plaza (Golden Delight) with a big parking lot however it can be difficult during peak hours. The store is standard with plenty of seating along the wall and self-ordering kiosks. Even though I went on their 2nd day, the drinks didn't take long to receive despite the wait. Definitely worth a try and they have a wide range of other non-thai tea drinks too. Will be back for more! read more

Really good place if you want some thai tea or rose tea. Those are what we tried and came out really good. For a small little place was not expecting it. Got the thai tea, rose milk latte, and yuzu rose. The thai tea you can really taste the flavor if you adjust the sweetness which I enjoyed since other places don't let you choose the sweetness so usually it is too sweet for me but this place let's you choose which I enjoyed the less amount. The rose milk was also good as well if you like rose tea. They brew it for you when you order it. The yuzu will be in the sour side if you want that but it is more of a refreshing tea. Do try the pandan boba which actually is really good and for me who doesn't drink boba too much really enjoyed. On weekdays parking should be okay but would expect weekend would be bad due to so many restaurants in this plaza so be aware of that when coming here. read more
I was so excited ChaTraMue opened in Rosemead which is a closer drive for me because I love their Thai iced tea. However, I have to say the original location in Thai Town tastes way better. I can definitely taste the Thai tea at the original location compared to this new location, it taste diluted and milky. I wish the Thai tea flavor was stronger like the one in Thai town. Now, I guess I'll have to make that drive to Thai town if I wanted some good Thai iced tea. Disappointed read more

The drinks here were nice and cooling during this hot weather. I ordered a Thai tea latte and it comes with Pandan Boba. It was nice, and sweet and delicious and made me cool down a bit. The service here was fast, and quick, but it was made to perfection. The staff were very welcoming to their customers and it made my night. I will definitely return here for another drink. read more
After hearing that ChaTraMue has signature thai tea, I paid a visit with that in mind. I went on the weekend around 4:00 pm. This store is located in a large plaza with a lot of parking spots. As I head inside, I noticed it was a small little shop with a cozy vibe. I placed my order on their kiosk and waited for my order. Keep in mind you can opt in for rewards and get updates to when the drink is ready. The staff were very quick and I only needed to wait a few minutes. For my drink, I got the thai green milk tea at large size with honey sugar boba and regular sweetness. I really enjoyed this drink and will definitely be returning! read more

Recommended getting the 130% sweetness, I tried the Green Thai tea with pandan boba and Thai tea. There's a tablet you can order on and you can also order at the counter with an employee. I'd come back to try their other drinks. [ Service ] I ordered at the kiosk and it was pretty simple. Drink came out quickly since I was the only one there. A newish Thai Tea spot with delicious drinks! Located in a busy plaza with Ji Rong and Shin Sen Gumi off Valley Blvd. It's a cute spot with menus and kiosks for ordering. There are a few tables but it's not a huge space. Original Thai Tea with Pandan Boba - the Thai Tea is really good, strong tea with perfect flavor at 70% sweetness. However, the pandan boba was hard. It was probably a bad batch. Hojicha Milk Tea with Oatmilk and Egg Pudding - this tasted off. The tea wasn't as creamy as expected. The egg pudding was just ok. Original Thai Tea with Cream Cheese Foam and Brown Sugar Boba at 70% sweetness - Now... This is what I came for! It was perfectly sweet and creamy with a great strong Thai Tea flavor, the cheese foam added an extra layer of creaminess and the brown sugar boba was perfectly chewy and still warm. Super yum! I found my drink! Service was quick and friendly. Parking is convenient but you may have to drive around to look for one in this super busy plaza. Definitely recommended! read more
Cha Tra Mue is finally in the neighborhood (no longer have to drive to LAX-C woo!!), and I had to check it out! Their Thai tea is GOOD!! Smooth, balanced, and not too sweet since you can tweak the sugar level (love that for us). I also tried the green Thai tea, and it was giving floral, refreshing, and just chef's kiss. But the real plot twist? My grandma, who literally never gets excited about fun drinks, fell in love with their lemon tea at 70% sweet. If it has grandma approval, it's officially iconic. The only meh moment? The boba. It's not terrible, but it's not the moment. Honestly, just skip it and enjoy the tea on its own. The shop is right next to Good Alley, and when I went on a weekday, it was super quiet. Probably because they're still new? I love Thai tea so this place is on my must try list when I saw it on my friend's insta story. Once you walk in, you can smell the pandan boba cooking. It's rare you see you pandan boba, but they do it right here. It's not too strong, and the consistency is a perfect balance of chewy and softness. You can order from two iPads. I got the Thai tea with pandan boba 70% sweet and it was amazing. I got my 6 year old daughter a coco milk drink since it has no caffeine. I had the drink made with 70% sweetness as well so it wasn't too sweet and she didn't complain about it. It was good too! Ample parking since it's in a plaza. I will definitely return to try their Thai green tea, the color of it looks good! read more

A great find on a hot day! Was craving some milk tea after eating pho and this place really hit the spot. I got the Hojicha milk tea and the Grenn Thai milk tea and they were both solid drinks! The flavors are very nice and the hojicha one was super flavorful (maybe cause I got 100% sweetness lol). Overall a great place and I would come back to try some other items in the future. read more
Glad this place has opened another location! Thai tea is refreshing with a very good tea taste. The Hojicha latte was also good, but it wasn't as strong as I was anticipating. Came here close to opening and there's 2 iPads for self order in the front. It's so funny that you need to check a box that you understand their rose tea is a laxative. The iPads were both glitchy like the payment screen didn't come up or the payment was cancelled because it wasn't connected. I need to flag down a staff member to reset the iPad which I can imagine would be more frustrating if there was a long line. I agree with others that ChaTraMue has a stronger tea and more condensed milk maybe? It has the classic flavors with real tea and more creaminess. I did try the rose milk tea and well....it wasn't a laxative for me. Darn? Worth a try, maybe too hyped. read more
