Was good but not great. Stopped by on a Saturday afternoon and it was pretty busy. It was spacious with comfortable seating along the wall. There is a parking lot which was nice. When you first walk in, you order at the kiosk near the counter. You are given a number and a text to let you know that they had received your order. There is also a monitor where you can see the status of your order. Our order took about 20 mins. There were a lot of staff but maybe because they are new, it just didn't seem very efficient. We ordered the orange Jasmin tea with lychee jelly at 50% sweetness and the cloud matcha with 30% sweetness. The matcha was not sweet at all and did not have a strong enough matcha flavor for us. Finally had a chance to try UG Tea after hearing good things about it! I ordered the Camellia Oolong Milk Tea (100% sugar, no ice) through the Fantuan app. When I came to pick it up, they have their own dedicated parking lot, so there was lots of parking spaces which is a plus! I can't speak for the ambiance since I didn't stay long, but the interior was very spacious and clean! I liked the green aesthetic. Pickup was seamless as I just went up to the counter, and they handed me my drink. I liked the drink! It had a slight floral taste reminiscent of Jasmine milk tea. I don't think it tastes anything special though, but it was good. The sweetness level was good too, but I might try it at 70% sweetness next time to see if the floral flavor pops more. Customers can order at counter or self-service kiosk. Staff is cordial and friendly. Staff provided wonderful recommendations, but Staff seemed a little skittish when asked questions. My drink took about two minutes. Fast!! As mentioned, I ordered the Next Level Matcha Latte ($6.95 - 16oz - Recommended 30% Sugar). It's refreshing!! It tasted balanced & purposeful, and I liked how the usual earthy matcha felt subtle as it mingled with the vanilla and milk. YUM!! On ambiance, UG Tea (San Gabriel) is gorgeous and upscale. It's SHINY! The floors sparkled. The music also felt very fun. When I'd arrived, it was fairly empty, so the place felt very spacious. I also really enjoyed all the plush cushion seating. However, UG Tea (San Gabriel) is not an ideal study/work spot. I found about one easily accessible electrical outlet. Ugh... One thing I like about their drinks are the cups. Pretty underrated in my opinion, very sturdy, hard to spill, and overall a cute design. A decent cup is always a sign of a solid boba shop and UG Tea is definitely one of them. They also have one of the best "reusable" carry out bags that come with your drink if you order online or request a bag. Sealable bag, with handles, solid design, and good material. To the drink itself, all 4 drinks I've tried are plenty refreshing. The flavor is certainly on the stronger side but with higher level of ingredients, it's expected. The fragrant flavors are not too overwhelming which makes the drink very addicting to a point. After the hype died down and going at a very strange time, I actually bumped into my friend here hilariously enough. Since it's UG Tea, aka Unique Green Tea, I felt like you had to get something "green" to really see what they're all about, I mean it's in the name. We all got the Next Level Matcha Latte. It's a creamy matcha smoothy with some cheese to add a bit of savoriness to it. It's alright, but nothing that can compare to the heavy hitters that are taking over the boba scene in SoCal, or even just up and down this street if you think about it. Think of a light cheese milk drink with a very subtle taste of matcha. You're not going to get something on Yamari level, but I expected a little bit more out of a place with green in the name and this being a "green" drink. Or maybe that wasn't the theme or intention of the business and the green was about restoring green spaces in the world (they do plant a tree for x number of drinks purchased which is pretty neat). Peach Camellia Fruit Tea - The peach flavor was very strong and paired well with the camellia oolong tea. this was my third favorite. Orange Jasmine Fruit Tea - This was my favorite of the teas - the bright orange flavor paired well with the lightness of the jasmine tea. Sometimes with orange teas, the orange flavor can overpower the jasmine tea, but this wasn't the case. Price: About $6-7 for the drinks. I think it's $7 for the larger size which is normal pricing in my opinion for that size drink. The Atmosphere: Very artsy location - its pretty large and plenty of seating. I liked it, but wouldn't order again. The Rice Floral Green Tea had a strong tea flavor and was well brewed (not bitter or burnt) and was not too sweet. I could definitely taste notes of pandan. They lychee jelly (50 cent add on) was a great addition. I would order this again. Something to note is that the drinks are sweetened with fructose. Service 8/10 Ordering was through an electronic tablet kiosk and was easy to use. After ordering, the wait was about 10 minutes. The drinks were provided in reusable isolated bags with a cardboard drink carrier for easy transportation. There was a lot of standing space, but not many places to sit. It was mostly benches and stools with small tables so would mot recommend for groups of more than 3-4 people. I am around the area, so I decide to use UG tea app to try their tea. UG is also a specialty tea shop chain from Taiwan. The building outside is nothing special. The decoration inside is kind of futuristic and minimalist. Service is friendly, I preferred the tip -% to be not chosen, but the app added them first. Anyways, I do appreciate first tea is $3 off. My order is Camellia milk tea with 30% sugar by default. Tea is pretty good. Plenty of Ice, and the packaging including a carry bag and straw seems to be very special. another tea shop in SGV! UG Tea has things that id say make it a little different than the others. the shop has plenty or parking in their private lot, and street parking is available too. the store is HUGE, and so well decorated. the ambiance is immaculate, transporting you to a swaggy, futuristic, yet modern + naturey environment. super clean & had so many aesthetic pieces of decor. theres even a photobooth! theres plenty of seating, so i would recommend this spot to hang out at. service was great! they have so much staff working at once, so our drinks came out fast. the drinks themselves were super high quality, with strong tea flavor. literally reminds me of MollyTea, esp if you get the jasmine mt. not too sweet, not too crazy, just fresh and light TIP: scan the qr code on the wall by the entrance to download the app and earn a free drink for your next visit :) read more

Drinks were good, definitely plan to be back! Lots of seating/hangout space, and there is a parking lot with a good amount of spots (at least 10?) and street parking, too. Spacious, modern, and clean space. Staff were nice and friendly. Can customize sugar and ice levels* for most drinks. Some things to note: They don't have hot drinks. Also, the matcha drinks have a preset amount of ice, so *both the matcha drinks and smoothies are not customizable for the amount of ice. Got the Cloud Matcha Latte, was surprised to have whipped cream as a default but I'm sure you can ask for no whip. I got 10% sugar and it was equivalent to when asian desserts are described as "not too sweet". I think anything above 10% would've been too sweet for me. Also, got the Matcha Cookie Smoothie, which was more desserty. 30% sugar was maybe a little too much because the cookie crumbles (I think they use Biscoff) are already sweet and mixed in. Texture was good, but I don't think it's something to drink more quickly so the cookie crumbles don't get too mushy. read more

So we stopped by after eating lunch nearby to check UG Tea out. The interiors is pretty modern with cute fixtures and areas to hang. It was nice that for the introverted soul, the store had a screen to order from. We got the hibiscus roast milk tea at less ice and 30% sweet, and I can't say I was impressed. The tea flavor was completely overshadowed by the oat milk, and perhaps it's because more milk needed to be added due to the reduction of ice, but that does mean they don't necessarily have their milk tea ratios down. read more

My friend and I decided to try this matcha spot because it looked very authentic and the interior was honestly super cute. Unfortunately, I think I enjoyed the atmosphere more than the drinks themselves. I ordered a matcha drink, and while it wasn't overly sweet, I felt like it didn't really stand out flavor-wise. It tasted kind of bland to me and didn't have that strong matcha kick I was hoping for. It wasn't bad, but it definitely wasn't memorable enough for me to order again. The bigger issue was the service experience. Right when we were about to order, their system went down, so they could only accept cash. I completely understand that technical issues happen, but it seemed like there was a lot of miscommunication between the workers afterward, which caused our order to get delayed or forgotten. We ended up waiting around 15-20 minutes, maybe even longer, just for two drinks. I do sympathize because it's stressful when systems go down, but personally, I don't think the drinks were worth the wait. In the end, I probably wouldn't come back since there are other matcha places in OC that I personally enjoy more. read more

Amazing new store in San Gabriel! The interior design is stunning and the vibes are really cool. There are plentiful seats and couches available within the store as it is really big. They also have a parking lot which we were able to park in - however it was pretty full. There are lots across the street though, and parking in SG is never too bad. We ordered on the app, since there was a line to order. We ordered the matcha slush with a biscoff cookie on top, and the camellia oolong milk tea (there was a promotion). The matcha slush was good, not too sweet and good quality matcha. The biscoff cookie was also a nice touch, but it's not too much of a dessert-y overly sweet drink even though it has the pastry. The camellia oolong milk tea was good too, pretty smooth milky taste. It reminded me of the Chagee milk teas, especially with the tasting straw they gave us. Overall, I would recommend this store! The vibes are futuristic and cool, with a photo booth and lots of cute photo / mirror picture spots. The drinks are great too! A large menu that I'm excited to explore more of. read more
