Well not to much to chat about. We heard a lot about this place so, we drove up from Grand Rapids to check it out. Unfortunately we didn't get the opportunity, my party of four received our drinks and appetizers in a timely manner but, after an 1hr and a 1/2 we still are waiting for the main course. Servers were super nice and attentive, I was really surprised that our waitress remembered my ranch with both the app fries and with my order. That's really rare! The Chatterbox burger is beyond description in ridiculous deliciousness. Juicy hand pattied burgers with ample amount of melted cheese and mushrooms mounded on a mountain of fresh meat!! Seems like a Cubs bar of sorts with jerseys of players on the wall and other paraphernalia but there were a few Tigers fans in here as well. Plenty of chatter about the sports world and the staff was most accommodating. Will be back whenever I am in the area to definitely get my fill. Honestly, the olive burger was pretty good. HOWEVER...I asked for mustard since none was at the table. The bartender/waitress told me that would be extra. I laughed and said "your kidding, right?" She wasn't kidding. She said the owner's rule, not hers. If it isn't listed on the menu for that item it is 55 cents extra. Are you frick'n kidding me? I know it is a small thing, but who charges for mustard in America? They had ketchup squeeze bottles on all the tables, but the mustard at this place is sacred. Wow. We ordered 4 burgers with 3 FF. One person had chips which were included for no extra fee. 3 ice tea and one soda came to $46.00. The burgers were very dry. It took 35 minutes to get our food. The ambience of the restaurant has a great, small town cozy atmosphere. Classic rock and roll acoustics from the jukebox permeates the restaurant. It was definitely a busy night with lots of chatter from the patrons and the TVs airing sports and cable news. The waitress was very busy and forgets to acknowledge her guests , check on them or give an estimated time of when the food will be ready. We ate from here before and the food was delicious. This time, there was a lot to be desired. We ordered the Swiss Mushroom burger, mac and cheese bites and Teriyaki burger. We waited over a hour for the food and the burgers tasted extremely bland; very grateful for ketchup. The mac and cheese bites taste like box macaroni and cheese that was deep fried; not what I expected. The fries were overcooked. The best part of my meal was the Lays potato chips. The waitress never asked us about our food after it was served and only came back to issue the check. Perhaps it was just an off day for Chatterbox. read more

I came to town for work with a buddy, and we were looking for a place to eat and drink some beer. Wasn't impressed at first. I only checked this place out cause of the yelp reviews though there weren't many. It looked like any little sports bar, but it was a decent atmosphere and played good music. Nothing prepared me for when they came out with the Burger and fries, I was impressed! It looked amazing and tasted just as good. What's more the service was excellent.
