As recent transplants from Nashville my husband and I are looking for new go to foodie destinations and this place hit the spot! We came in earlier in the week to grab an appetizer and glass of wine at the bar and it was fantastic, made us want to come back for dinner later in the week. We came in Friday evening for dinner and it was superb start to finish. The service is top notch, we had two servers and I apologize for not remembering their names but they were both fantastic! We started with the lamb lollipops which paired nicely with our Napa Cabernet. The lamb was juicy and flavorful and the sauce it sat in was bright and herbal. For entrees we had the swordfish and the filet with a half wedge added on. The swordfish was flaky and flavorful, not fishy at all. The Israel cous cous it sat in was pleasantly rich but not over whelming . It complimented the fish very well. The wedge was fantastic with bright bites of cherry tomatoes with the onion strips and blue cheese. The filet was cooked perfectly, medium rare with fantastic potato and asparagus sides. Both cooked perfectly, the asparagus had nice flavor that helped balance out the richness of the filet and potatoes. read more

The restaurant has nice decor inside. We sat outside on the patio, but I don't recommend sitting out there when it's hot. Our waitress was nice, but our food took awhile to be served. I had the vegetable paella and the portion is on the smaller side. It had a kick to it and it also comes with garlic aioli. My friend had the heirloom ravioli and she said the sauce was really good since it was homemade. My other friend had the sriracha chicken and she said the chicken was alright, but the soba noodles were really good that came with it. We also waited a long time for our dessert to come out, but it was worth it because the key lime pie was SO GOOD. It was homemade and the crust was salted. It looks like a lot of cream on top, but it was a good ratio with the strong key lime flavor to balance it out. read more

Had a wonderful meal here last night. We're able to make 6:30 reservations immediately seated. They had a 22oz bone in ribeye for two on the special menu and I'm so happy we got it. It was amazing came with a salad we upgraded to a wedge salad which was one of the best I've ever had it onion crisps and pork belly cubes the flavor was amazing. Our steak was already sliced done to perfection and enough for both of us and plenty of leftovers. They have a great menu for food and drinks. We had reservations and the restaurant was full. Hostess dropped us off at our table and threw the menus down. We had to ask our waitress for the specials of the day menu. Our waitress seemed distracted most of the night. We received some very good bread with oil with Parmesan in it for dipping. Started with the Brussel sprouts, tasty and nicely cooked. Had the simple salad with my meal and she had the loaded wedge. The wedge was really good. We had the Flat Iron steak and Osso Bucco. Both were top notch. The wine list has a nice variety. The owner or GM stopped by to chat and check on how everything was going and explained some items on the menu. read more

Excellent. We drove here to play golf tomorrow and I read that you could count on their Walleye - which was correct! So very yummy! I ordered "The Good Wife" and my husband ordered the Old Fashioned cocktail. These were also spot-on. I enjoyed an excellent bowl of the Acorn Squash soup and husband had the French Onion. My soup was spectacular - his was good, but not his favorite ever. Lastly, the "frites", served with the Walleye, were definitely some of the best I've enjoyed on this side of the ocean! In town for work and the pictured shared online is what brought me in. It seemed like a lot of them items pictured are no longer available but I was able to find something really delicious. The Tuna Tartare is severed differently and looks smaller and was the perfect amount. I sat outside and ate and it was a perfect night for it. Service was a little slow. By the time I sat down and got served the main the dish it was an hour and 20 minutes after be sat. I ordered pretty quickly after someone came to my table to take my drink order. (About 10-12 minutes after being sat) I was in town for work and it was a Friday night at 530pm when I arrived. I wanted to start with this restaurant should not be an option on Uber Eats. While browsing this was about the only restaurant that wasn't some sort of chain. I was excited when I saw baked French onion soup and the soup purses- so we went with this restaurant. We are visiting St. Joseph for a wedding and I wanted to try something more local and this was the only option for delivery (we have 2 little ones and I was alone tonight so we ordered in). To start I placed my order around 8 pm and got a call around 8:15 stating they wouldn't be able to make the food for a hour. I was ok with it- again- wanted to try something local. The baked French onion and purses were ok- assembly was required and the restaurant didn't send utensils (like I requested through the app) so pretty hard to eat without those. Then we got a caesar salad... there was no dressing. Just lettuce and cheese and 3 croutons. We didn't even eat this... because what's a caesar salad without caesar dressing? The meatballs were cold, but so was the rest of the food. Thankfully our hotel has a microwave and we were able to heat everything and they were fine. I bet this place is good if you dine in- but they should not be listed as a take out option on Uber Eats. read more

The food is the STAR at Bread + Bar! Great food & service! Started with Espresso Martinis, French Onion Purses, Wedge Salad & Chorizo Stuffed Dates and all were so yummy! We used the provided bread basket to soak up the sauces . Sriracha Chicken w Soba Noddles & Flat Iron Steak w Polenta entrees were perfectly executed! It was also a pleasant surprise to find out our order included Happy Hour (4-6p) discounts! Kudos to the chef and staff at Bread+Bar. Best meal & service my husband and I have had in quite awhile. Robby was the best server! He gave us great suggestions and was patient with our requests. The hostess found us an outdoor table, but beware there are mosquitos since you are by the lake, so either bring bug spray or sit inside. Food was 10/10 - we didn't know what to expect, but all of our food was delicious. All the desserts are also fantastic, including the cookie, strawberry lemon cake, and the cheesecake. read more

I absolutely loved the meatballs! I got takeout so I wasn't able to be in the actual restaurant for a sit down experience but ordering and picking up my food was seamless. I'm visiting from Chicago and fell in love with Bread + Bar! I was given the choice between pizza or "this place with French onion soup and bread purses" so obviously I chose the Bread Purses! It's one of the most creative dishes I've ever seen/tasted. Seeing as though this restaurant has "bread" in the name, the bread they serve to nosh on is delightful, especially paired with the olive oil/parmigiana cheese to dip in! The bread will be used throughout the entire meal to soak up pasta sauce or that French onion soup, so definitely know that going in! I always love hearing what the server recommends and she raved about the crab cakes(on special). They did not disappoint! The Brussel sprouts were my most favorite, followed closely by our main entree (we ordered a smattering of things to share): the cacio de Pepe. I was told the chef adds a bit of Gruyère to his cacio dish to elevate the creaminess - absolutely divine! The thinly sliced fried zucchini on top was a great way to cut the richness. We saved no room for dessert, but that speaks so highly of our meal! This city girl fell in love... with Bread + Bar! read more
