CHD Korean Dumplings Tteokbokki! I got Rose Tteokbokki. It was the perfect amount of spiciness, amazing mozzarella cheese pulls, the sausage gave a snap for every bite, and it had tons of bacon flavor for those bacon lovers. The actual tteokbokki was the perfect chewy texture and it the service was pretty fast. It was so big I took it home and ate it for another meal! Cool food court and the tteokbokki at CHD is great!

First time having Korean dumplings. Got their sampler. It was pretty good. Definitely enough for two-three people to share. The dumplings are large so don't let the name fool you. The lady working was super nice and for being in a kind of bustling food court it came out pretty quickly and fresh. You can tell that these are not made before hand.

Pretty good dinner option located inside of H Mart! We tried to go to another restaurant in the plaza but hte wait was too long, so we walked over here to peruse the food court. ENded up choosing CHD, and i ordered the shrimp wonton dumpling soup with beef broth. Waited about 20 minutes for the food, but you can easily walk around the market while you wait, and they announce all the orders in the intercom so you can easily hear if you are in the vicinity. Soup came out super hot and fresh with a side of pickled radish. The noodles were really good texture, and the broth was pretty light and not too salty. The wontons were alright, but they were way overcooked to the where the outer part was like disintegrating; the shimp inside tasted good though. Only thing, is I wish they had metal utensils instead of plastic spoons to eat the hot soup. Overall a very good option for dinner if you are shopping at H-Mart anyway.

They have these new rice pots that I remember trying in Seoul and they taste just as good! I've only tried the eggplant one so far and I'd HIGHLY recommend it. I haven't found any other Korean places offering this style rice pot like we had in Seoul. I'm thinking of trying the steak one next time but overall you scoop the rice and protein out into the bowl to eat. Then you pour the kettle broth into the rice pot and re-cover it. For $3 you can add 3 mandoos too

I usually go to the Westpark CHD, but a friend told me the Northpark location has new sot-bap (sizzling bibimbap in a pot), so we stopped by while nearby. We ordered the kimchi bacon, eggplant, steak, and fish roe sot-bap. Every dish was flavorful. My super-picky boys loved the steak and fish roe, and even my husband--who can't handle spicy food--enjoyed the kimchi bacon (with some water on the side). The eggplant sot-bap was a standout: crunchy fried onions and garlic, melt-in-your-mouth eggplant, and chewy, umami pork--all perfectly seasoned. Texture heaven. They give you an empty bowl to spoon out some of the rice, then you pour roasted barley tea into the pot and close the lid. While you enjoy your sot-bap, the tea loosens the lightly burned rice (nurungji) at the bottom, turning it into a delicious toasted rice soup. Next time, I'd love to try their spicy eggplant sot-bap.

I've been enjoying their Mandu (dumpling) but never thought of writing a review, but today as I tried their Spicy Eggplant, I thought I gotta recommend this to everyone. The eggplants are perfectly cooked, (not very hard, not very mushy) and the spicy sauce blends in perfectly with the rice. If you want to try something different among Korean foods, you mist try this menu.

Cooler days call for soup and warmth. I was in the area running some errands and decided I want udon, but no meat. Wanted something light in taste. Stopped by CHD in Hmart food court. It was delicious. The broth was perfect and not overly salty or oily. Generous portion at a fair price. Can't go wrong with their food court and all of the options available. Service was quick as it wasn't too busy, right before the lunch rush. The food court is always clean and busy with families and older folks. It's just very comforting to see.

This place is legit. In a food court in Hmart. The 떡볶이 is spicy and the 만두 are fried perfectly. Really reminds me of food in Korea.

Awesome looking Korean food court located conveniently inside H Mart. With the high rating my expectations were so high, but the tteokbokki and the dumplings were so mid at best. Friendly and quick service though!

What a hidden gem! I found this delicious Korean dumpling restaurant inside the H Mart in Irvine near Orchard Hills. The bulgogi rice and sampler dumpling were authentic, juicy and delicious. The staff were super helpful as we did not know what to order (more familiar with Chinese dumpling). Ambiance is casual, clean and relaxing with hip hop music I playing in the background. Look forward to trying their other dishes next time. Highly recommended!

Been looking for good rose tteokbokki and absolutely loved CHD's. The tteokbokki was cooked perfectly as well as the wide noodles and sausages. I loved the flavor and creaminess of the sauce, it was lightly spicy and tasted amazing. I've had quite a few rose tteokbokkis in Korea and it very much so reminded me of it. My boyfriend got the dumpling sampler platter and loved all of them. They were all fried tk perfection and the fillings were amazing. Their side of radishes were also delicious and we didn't wait too long.

Get the dumpling sample plate, just trust me. Other things on the menu not worth it imo. The dumplings get a bit oily but it is so good!

The crispy tofu was honestly my favorite simple but really good, you can never really go wrong with fried tofu. The beef with scallions was pretty spicy, which I personally liked. The pork belly though was disappointing to the point that we didn't even finish it. The steamed fish was decent, but there were a lot of big bones so you really have to be careful while eating it. It was also pretty expensive, around $55, and the portion size was just okay. The minced pork fried rice tasted like your typical fried rice, nothing memorable. The place gets really packed during dinner time, so expect a wait and maybe come before you get super hungry. It was also kind of hard to get the servers' attention, probably because they were busy with how crowded it gets. Overall, I'd say it's mid, especially for the price.

BUSINESS PERMANENTLY CLOSING 6/28/26…read more Came here with some gals for afternoon tea. It's a cute little restaurant in Old Towne Orange. It's decorated really cute inside and out! Everything was creatively planned and decorated. It was also very clean and spacious inside and out. When you go in, there's a tea sampling station with the menus so you can see which tea you would like to order. Our server was really sweet, but she was the only one serving all of the tables, so she would come by every 10-20 minutes to check on us and some things we asked for didn't make it to the table. If they had more servers, customers would be happy with quicker service. The food and tea were delish! There were 6 of us so we shared a bunch of different teas. I really enjoyed the teas they had. The sweet and savory treats were really yummy! I really enjoyed them. Each person got 5 little savory treats and 4 sweet treats. I kind of wish we got one or two more for $45, but either way they were delicious! We had a great time and were sad to learn that the business will be permanently closing down tomorrow (6/28/26), I would have loved to continue going back!

Like Gene, the serrano ahi poke bowl with wontons was the "go to" for every visit. Another fan favorite was the guac-poke with wontons. Well, wontons were removed from the menu altogether, and the serving size of the ahi is half of what it used to be. Not sure if this was a local decision or corporate decision, but it was a bad one! Second faux pas on the new menu is the removal of black beans with the taco plate. Now your options are fries or a salad. Who orders fries or salad with tacos? Black beans are so cheap. Even if you charge $1 for them, you're making money. Doesn't make sense to remove them. Oh, and the 3 taco plate is no longer an option. You can only get 2 tacos now. Third questionable decision ... eliminating the miso salad. The bartender told me that the house salad on the menu is the same as the miso salad. They mean the same thing. When the runner delivered what I thought was the miso salad, it looked different. So I asked her if this was the miso salad. She said no, that is no longer on the menu. So .... ya. Another big change for me was the removal of my favorite wine, the chenin blanc. The other whites are subpar IMO and not worth the drive over there ... especially with all these really poor menu changes. So now you know why I'm looking for a new happy place. If you know of any open air, fresh fish places, please DM me. Thanks! P.S. I went back and forth between giving 2 stars and 3 stars. The employees here are really exceptional. And I didn't think it was fair to give the whole restaurant 2 stars because their culinary executive is absolutely clueless.
