Terrible service from who I believe is the owner. He was visibly irritated and even raised his voice when we asked about items on the menu, which made us extremely uncomfortable while ordering--even though there were no other customers and no reason to rush us. I've been going to Che Vi ever since they first opened. The che is sooo yummy and always hits the spot! I really miss when dine-in orders were served in the coconut bowls; it made the experience feel more special and the presentation was beautiful. Lately, the plastic cups just don't feel the same. Chè is pretty tasty, first timer here. Ordered Tofu special and coconut special, the tofu is so soft tastes just like Melo Melo. The coconut is good but not as flavorful as the Tofu. Service could be better by honoring the online order system, my pick up time was 4:45pm but they didn't make it until I come and had to wait another 15' for other orders from the walk in customers. The ambiance is nice, bright, and has a lot of parking spot. The price is a bit high but BOGO so that's a great deal to snatch. read more

I have been to pretty much all of the Che around here and this has become my go to place when I am craving Che. The coconut and tofu special here fulfills my craving for sweets and is well worth the price for the taste and amount that they give. Their Che ingredient seems fresh, especially the coconut jelly which is quite soft. The service here has always been great as well. Everyone here has been very friendly. After dinner, my friends and I decided to try a new Chè spot. We were greeted right away by a young man, which was nice. we were that group of friends asking a bunch of "what if" questions, but thankfully, there was no one else in line. I appreciated that he clarified the Chè is served in a cup, not a bowl. The prices were reasonable--definitely less than what I used to spend at BlackBall! As someone who's not Vietnamese and not really into beans, I was excited to see toppings I actually like. They even had a special: buy 2 and get 1 tofu dessert for free. It was my first time trying it, and I loved it! The tofu dessert was gingery and lightly sweetened--so good that I'll definitely be back. While the ingredients and flavors are there, the value just isn't. The menu photos are misleading, making the bowls seem much bigger than they actually are. On the plus side, the interior is bright, clean, and has plenty of seating, but for the price, there are much better options in Garden Grove or Westminster. read more

This is one of the best Che places in OC. The chè isn't too sweet like other places, you don't need tons of ice cubes to drown out the sweetness. There are basically 2 types: 1 with tofu pudding and 1 with flan. Each type has different toppings. We enjoyed everything we got there. The portion looks small but there's actually a lot. I ordered online, but when I arrived at the shop, they only started making my order after I showed up -- and no one informed me about this process. I understand it was a busy BOGO day, so I'm willing to be understanding. However, if online orders can't be prepared ahead of time, the shop should temporarily turn off online ordering or at least notify customers.
