For the price you paid, it's not worth it. The che in the menu and advertisement were extremely colorful , fresh and FULL. What we received was nothing like the pictures. I have been to pretty much all of the Che around here and this has become my go to place when I am craving Che. The coconut and tofu special here fulfills my craving for sweets and is well worth the price for the taste and amount that they give. Their Che ingredient seems fresh, especially the coconut jelly which is quite soft. The service here has always been great as well. Everyone here has been very friendly. After dinner, my friends and I decided to try a new Chè spot. We were greeted right away by a young man, which was nice. we were that group of friends asking a bunch of "what if" questions, but thankfully, there was no one else in line. I appreciated that he clarified the Chè is served in a cup, not a bowl. The prices were reasonable--definitely less than what I used to spend at BlackBall! As someone who's not Vietnamese and not really into beans, I was excited to see toppings I actually like. They even had a special: buy 2 and get 1 tofu dessert for free. It was my first time trying it, and I loved it! The tofu dessert was gingery and lightly sweetened--so good that I'll definitely be back. While the ingredients and flavors are there, the value just isn't. The menu photos are misleading, making the bowls seem much bigger than they actually are. On the plus side, the interior is bright, clean, and has plenty of seating, but for the price, there are much better options in Garden Grove or Westminster. read more

I think it beats out every other spot we've been to. The chè here is incredibly generous - they're not skimpy at all with the fresh fruit and jello. Every cup is loaded, colorful, and satisfying. The level of sweetness is spot on: just right, refreshing, and never overpowering. It feels perfectly balanced. The place itself is clean and the service is prompt and respectful every time. We've now been here several times, and the quality/service is consistent everytime. Failed to mention we don't even live super close, but will happily make the commute whenever a craving hits. Anytime friends or family drop by, its our automatic go-to spot. This is one of the best Che places in OC. The chè isn't too sweet like other places, you don't need tons of ice cubes to drown out the sweetness. There are basically 2 types: 1 with tofu pudding and 1 with flan. Each type has different toppings. We enjoyed everything we got there. The portion looks small but there's actually a lot. I understand it was a busy BOGO day, so I'm willing to be understanding. My latest obsession for Chè in OC! I love how Che Vi continuously improves based on customer feedback. They truly listen and respond to customer needs and get better. Since their soft opening, they've made noticeable changes to the menu, portion size, and pricing. For me, the portion size is perfect - you don't need tons of ice to balance out the sweetness like at other places. At $5-$8 for a 16oz Chè with no ice, it's a great deal, and plus you're not overloaded with sugar. They offer two base options: coconut soy milk and coconut milk, with a variety of toppings to choose from. Every Chè I've tried (#A3, A4, A8) has either been on par with or better than similar options elsewhere. I also enjoy their Flan and Che Vi Tofu which offering a rich soybean flavor. I tried the Taro Pudding, but it didn't quite impress me.
