I absolutely love their desserts because they're not overly sweet. My go-to is the Tofu Special, which features soft tofu paired with chewy ube balls. I also enjoy their Flan and Che Vi Tofu which offering a rich soybean flavor. I tried the Taro Pudding, but it didn't quite impress me. I can't recall the name of the green pudding, but it was really delicious--I highly recommend it. The service is always fast, and I've never had to wait long for my orders. The spot is in the corner of the plaza where the 85 degrees and garlic and chives is. We got the tofu special, and it comes with tofu, flan, Pandan jelly, and a whole host of other topics that I can't remember. The flavor is sweet and nutty and very refreshing. Returned today and was a little saddened that they are currently no longer serving the dessert in the coconut bowl. I guess it was bc people were complaining about how small the bowl was. (Geez people, it's dessert, not a meal!) Anyway, we ordered the coconut special and the ube dessert. Both my friend and I enjoyed ours very much! We thought all the toppings were all very quality, great tasting and of great texture! Love that it isnt too sweet! My latest obsession for Chè in OC! I love how Che Vi continuously improves based on customer feedback. They truly listen and respond to customer needs and get better. Since their soft opening, they've made noticeable changes to the menu, portion size, and pricing. For me, the portion size is perfect - you don't need tons of ice to balance out the sweetness like at other places. At $5-$8 for a 16oz Chè with no ice, it's a great deal, and plus you're not overloaded with sugar. They offer two base options: coconut soy milk and coconut milk, with a variety of toppings to choose from. Every Chè I've tried (#A3, A4, A8) has either been on par with or better than similar options elsewhere. The service was exceptional too - Hung was very friendly, patient, and extremely helpful with the menu. Thanks for the great service and offering 20% discounts and BOGO promotions! Hands down the best Vietnamese dessert spot in the area! We tried others within the area and this place instantly became our favorite dessert place. I think it beats out every other spot we've been to. The chè here is incredibly generous - they're not skimpy at all with the fresh fruit and jello. Every cup is loaded, colorful, and satisfying. The level of sweetness is spot on: just right, refreshing, and never overpowering. It feels perfectly balanced. The place itself is clean and the service is prompt and respectful every time. We've now been here several times, and the quality/service is consistent everytime. Failed to mention we don't even live super close, but will happily make the commute whenever a craving hits. Anytime friends or family drop by, its our automatic go-to spot. Such a refreshing dessert that isn't too sweet!! I ordered #4/the flan tofu, and everything in it was delicious. The flan and dau hu are soft and light. The jellos are nice and chewy. And I love that they use soy milk as the base. It helps balance out the sweetness of the toppings and brings out a more nutty flavor that I don't usually have in che. I tried tofu special and coconut special. I love coconut special so far. There are a lot of toppings in che special. The service is fast even they have an event. This place could be better, I'm surprised for the portions, it is pricey for $6-$8/portion. But the cup is small with less topping compared to the advertised picture on the menu. Customers service doesn't meet the expectations where employees sitting with a lap top open in the front counter. It's unexpected for the fast service. (What's the point of speed with a bad quality che?!). The quality of che needed to be improved. Another thing is the crystal boba are not served properly. They need to serve it properly, since it's still have not clear. Tips: Rinse the crystal boba with hot water, then lets it sit in cold water for few minutes to cool it down, so it's would be clear and ready to serve. The tofu tastes average, however it's nice with indoor seatings. Hopefully this review could be helpful! read more

For the price paid, I hope to have pandan jelly (banh lot), red tapioca (hat luu), crush mung bean, boba... and the good stuffs that other chè places offer. I came really late at night and it was quiet. The che was really delicious and light. It was not over powering with sweetness. The coconut base was light and really fragrant. The initial presentation looked pretty underwhelming because it just looked like milk and some toppings. But after eating some more, I think it looked way better if you're able to see the toppings. It definitely did not look like the pictures on the menu I wasn't asked if I wanted some shaved ice in this but I'm not too sure if this is suppose to be served with ice. Other che spots that I've tried always had ice in there to keep it cool. If they added ice to the bottom of the bowl, it maybe would've helped lift the toppings for visibility. My girlfriend shared a cup she received from a friend. It was the Tofu A5 tofu and ube. I enjoyed it so much, it made me want to try others from their shop. I went with my SIL and got all the best seller and the mango since my ng irks love mangoes: A4 Coconut Special, A8 Tofu Special, A11 Avocado & A15 Mango. After trying all of the above my favorite is the A5 Tofu & Ube. The specials with the flan was too much for my liking and didn't need that extra item but I'm also biased because I grew up on flan being from a Pinoy household where flan is a constant dessert and I grew tired of eating it. The avocado definitely had full on avocado flavor, taste and texture, same for the mango. Those 2 were my bottom picks as it was lacking the Vietnamese che tradition that I'm used to. The A5 has the right amount of fillings, sweetness and milkyness to balance everything out. read more

This is my first time physically inside the store. My wife usually picks up the Che and brings it home. I was impressed with the cleanliness of the store and how modern and inviting it was. There were plenty of tables and chairs to enjoy your dessert inside the store. I ordered the A4 which was delicious. I don't remember or recognize everything that was in it, but it didn't matter since it was so good. Some of the ingredients were clumped together and I just needed to stir it up a little with my spoon. They really pay attention to detail from the quality of their fresh ingredients to the spoons they provide, and the bag of ice included with my to go order. Some of the best Che in LA! Love this place. Service was fantastic. The drinks are not too sweet with fresh ingredients. I grew up drinking che and I find it tough to find really good che in Los Angeles/OC. I love their coconut milk at Che Vi. I got A3- Fresh Coconut Milk. A13- Three Color and the Mango Special. What a disappointment. The store advertised a nice colorful bowl of dessert and what we received was everything dumped into a cup. I thought my wife ordered Togo and I was confused, but everyone's order came out in a cup. I think everyone was equally shocked. Why wouldn't you take a picture of what we will actually receive instead of a fake pictures and served in something totally different? And the price is ridiculous. I wouldn't mind paying the price if the dessert actually looked like picture.
