got the che ba mau. the beans were perfectly cooked & flavored the milk rly well. the mung bean paste was almost flan-like in creaminess

Parking is limited and the line to order can be long sometimes but the sweet dessert is worth the wait. I have been coming here since the 2002 until now still Love their 3 colored dessert, and bánh chuối in coconut milk, chè đậu ván , bắp hầm was delicious too . They're open 7 days a week from 8 am-6:30 pm and they only take cash. Try to get there early because some of the popular desserts sell out fast.

Our must go to after spending an afternoon in Westminster. We love to get Che from here for the after dinner dinner dessert. Must have : 3 mau dai Xoi Flan If you're a lover of flan you have to try their version. It's so soft, like a custard but light yet creamy. There's a nice amount of the caramel sauce at the bottom of the cup and it's not bitter at all. Ughh my all time fave I love it so much! Docking a star bc of the parking and the transients in the area due to the liquor store. Last time I was here someone threw a rock into the window, startling everyone inside.

I know about this place since I was in HS, which was back in...decades ago. Parking can be rough since they share the parking lot with 5 other stores. Plenty of sweet desserts choices and the prices are roughly around $4 each. Clean and well organized with friendly staff.

Recently in the area so stopped by here to pick up some sticky rice and dessert. There were no customers in the stores other than myself, then 2 people came in right behind me. They had hardly anything behind that glass window. All the trays were empty. Only some pre-packed items as shown in pictures. The chicken sticky was very bland and rather dry. I'm not sure of the relationship between this one and the one on Bolsa but many of the same type of dessert that both places offer don't look nor taste the same. Personally, I prefer the other location. I wonder if they are franchised and owned by totally 2 different owners? The other location always has a super long line on the weekends, regardless what time of the day though.

I have been going to this Che establishment since I was a child it's been 20+ years no one does the Che ba mau #1 like them. They put so many different beans in it and the flavors are delicious together a bit on the sweeter side though which I prefer and love. The parking plaza can be a bit hectic depending on timing of when you go the weekends here would be madness. My go to orders are the #1 ba mau dau, che bap (corn), che chuoi (banana), and che banh chuoi hap (steamed banana). I also like a few of the xois but they are sold out quick. Definitely recommend stopping by for some desserts it never disappoints!

Back for more delish Vietnamese desserts. Love those pandan treats: chewy & QQ while not overly sweet. We tried a new item that looks like mochi, it was just ok compared to the pandan treats.

    Cloudy melted ice.

Do better! It is unethical to serve this ice to your customers. Clean your ice machine/water line. This is absolutely gross and warrants a visit from the health department.

My favorite! Bananas with coconut...I think!

Alright, so I'll admit, this place has the most unique desserts. Since I didn't grow up with these delicacies they have quickly become one of my guilty pleasures and I just love everything about this little bakery! I especially enjoy the banana coconut Vietnamese morsels of goodness. To be honest, I don't know what the true Vietnamese name is, but that's a pretty close description . The soft chewy bananas combined with coconut sauce makes for a tasty not too sweet treat. You gotta check this bakery out for yourself as it is a local gem!

Bought the cassava cake Monday, it's Tuesday and there's already mold. It has been in the fridge too.

Don't ever get their cassava cake. I picked one up on Monday and it's now Tuesday night (less than 24 hours later. It has been in the fridge since I got it and went to go have a piece and see that there's mold. Ugh. Not cool. I'm now questioning all the other stuff...

Chè Hiền Khanh? Let me tell you... this place is dangerous. I walk in for one dessert and walk out with a bag big enough to feed a small village. If you go around 9:30-10 AM, the desserts come out fresh and HOT -- like "I-can't-wait-but-I'm-burning-my-mouth-and-I-don't-care" hot. And that banana with coconut cream? Listen... if loving it is wrong, I don't want to be right. I would marry that dessert if the law allowed it. I buy chè here every. single. day. I think they know me so well they probably have a bowl ready before I walk in. Fifty desserts to choose from, and my brain just shuts down like: "BUY ALL OF THEM." And I do. Then I share with friends so they don't judge me... too much. Prices start around $3, which is basically free considering the emotional support these desserts provide. 10/10, would risk my diet again.

Che Thai 5/5 stars. Top notch! Has jackfruit, longans, etc! Super refreshing!
    Dennis L.

If you like viet desserts, this is the place to buy it. Again, parking is still terrible so you'll wanna park across the street in the neighborhood. I ordered a ton of items! They accept Zelle here!! Yes, Zelle! So no need for cash anymore! Yay! The Che Thai is the best here. Everyone gets it! The sticky rice is a little dry but they have durian xoi so everyone gets it! They speak English, and if they don't understand you, you can just point to it. Service is great and place is fairly clean. I'll be back! Yum

    Jacinda X.

Lots of Vietnamese desserts to choose from! There are no prices listed, so just ask. I had to get the Che dessert drink and it was PERFECT! It was so good that I went back in to get another before leaving. There are homeless people outside of the shop and the parking is small.

What I ordered: Coco Pandan Mousse DESSERT: 8/10 I loved how light my mousse was. Most importantly, it actually tasted like pandan! I was worried the pandan flavor was going to be mid and subtle, but each bite had a great pandan flavor. I had a bit of a drive back to my hotel, so I was advised to order mine frozen. I'm glad I took the staff member's advice because by the time I got to my hotel and finished dinner, it had thawed out perfectly. It was still cold-ish, room temp in the best way possible. SERVICE: 9/10 Great customer service! Upon arrival, the staff member who helped me was very nice. I was indecisive about what to order, so I really appreciated that she gave me a rundown and some suggestions on their most popular dishes. Most importantly, I appreciated her concern about my dessert melting by the time I got back to my hotel. If it wasn't for her and her advice to order the dessert frozen, I wouldn't have known and probably would've ended up with a deconstructed dessert. The way she packaged my dessert was also very helpful and considerate. AMBIANCE: 9/10 Definitely a cute place, and I can see this being a great go-to spot for groups. I loved how the back seating area had so many Polaroids plastered all over the walls. There are different types of seating depending on what you're in the mood for, and each seating area has a different vibe. There's also plenty of outdoor seating if you want to enjoy the weather while having your dessert!

The Matcha Latte was easily my favorite thing here. Super flavorful, sweet without being overly sweet, and dangerously easy to drink. I finished the entire thing so quickly that I genuinely wished I had ordered two. The Matcha Foam Coffee was also really good, especially if you want something with a stronger coffee kick. The bao buns were smaller than I expected, but I liked trying all the different fillings. The Combination Bao Bun was my favorite since you get a mix of the different meats and flavors in one bun. The Quail Egg Bao Bun was another standout. The egg itself is great, and I liked how the flavor carries throughout the bun instead of just tasting like a separate filling in the middle. The BBQ Pork Bao Bun had good flavor and a tasty bun, but I definitely wish they were a little more generous with the meat. The Salted Duck Egg Bao Bun was still good, but the saltier filling wasn't quite as enjoyable for me compared to the others. Definitely more of a specific flavor preference. I also tried the grilled pork banh mi and really enjoyed it. The bread has that nice firm exterior while still staying soft enough inside, and the pork is flavorful with a solid amount of meat. Others in our group ordered the Crispy Roast Pork Banh Mi as well, so there are plenty of savory options if you're not just coming for the bao. Service is quick and pretty straightforward, with part of the experience being self-service. It definitely helps if you speak Vietnamese, but overall everything moves fast and it feels built for picking up a bunch of food and heading out. Great little spot to stop by when you want something quick, tasty, and easy to take home.
