I've driven by this place what feels like a million times but never stopped because the shopping center always looks like it has no parking. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that Cheba Hut is a cannabis-themed sub shop eatery, and parking ended up being manageable. The place was very busy when I arrived, so I grabbed a seat at the bar. The bartender was clearly juggling a lot but stayed friendly and personable. The place was super clean, and I immediately loved the laid-back neighborhood vibe near Roosevelt Row. I ordered the French dip sub along with a munchie- pretzel nugs. Cheba offers three sandwich sizes (Nug, Pinner, and Blunt), which makes ordering easy depending on your appetite. Everything came out fresh and flavorful, and the pretzel mugs were especially good, soft and salty, Parking here is a little more limited than some other locations, but overall I really enjoyed my first visit and was happy to learn there are multiple Cheba Hut locations around town. We called the restaurant on 7th St- placed an order for 9 people. When we got to the 7th St location they said they didn't have our order. We were told that we called the correct number but that the phone line rolled to a different location. we were also told we were the 3rd customer that it happened to today. We were told that they were not affiliated with the store on Shea and Tatum so they couldn't transfer the order to the 7th St location. Well if you are not affiliated with that store why did your phone line roll to them? We asked if we could cancel the order and if the 7th st store could make the order for us. They said they didn't have the capacity. So we had to go out of our way to this other store that is 20 minutes out of the way. setting the meeting meal 40 minutes late. I do not think I will ever go back. the food is always good but the lack of customer service is not. read more

Good afternoon, I made a trip into Phoenix to stop by and say hello to some of my employee colleagues after retiring 2 1/2 years ago, had a great time visiting with some of the guys who were done for the day, as I was leaving Alan one of the guys I trained before leaving wanted to take me to lunch, so we headed over to Cheba Hut, Alan wanted to do the ordering so I let him do all the leg work, well he order us both the 12in White Widow and it didn't disappoint, it was filled with bacon, grilled Chicken, and all the other fixings that make a Hot Sub Good. I'd say the business has plenty of seating inside and some outside tables as well, we arrived a bit before lunch time and the place was starting to get busy and as I've always said that's a good sign. The Ambiance of the sandwich shop is done very nice with a cool vibe. So many people, friends family tell me about CHeBA HUT so thankfully after CPR training there was one nearby so I finally went to check it out. I got the Kali Mist and another sandwich forgot name but it was chicken with marinara and cheese kind of like a meatball sub but with chicken I also got a drink and a chocolate chip cookie. I have to say the ambience was pretty chill the decorations of course is all marijuana related. I ordered for pick up so the service was really quick In and out. I normally love Cheba hut- but my experience the other day wasn't the best here. I placed a phone order and the lady on the phone had a pretty rude tone. Seemed to be having a bad day. They said on the phone it shouldn't take long, and I get there 15 minutes after placing the order and still had to wait another 10 mins for my food. Then when I get my sandwich I head to my car and check to make sure everything's right, and they forgot the avocado on my Kali mist. The reason I get the Kali Mist is because of the avocado. So I walk back in with my sandwich and the lady looks at me and says "whats wrong with it" and I told her there's no avocado. They then give me this container with the 2 smallest pieces of avocado. Cheba hut is a themed sandwich place with the marijuana vibe. They don't sell anything marijuana related, but it's the theme of the store. Their menu names are also named such theme as well.
