I wanted to share my experience the other day at Cheba hut. I've been wanting to go here for several months since I moved to Riverside and my first experience there was terrible the gentleman that took my sandwich order. I gave him exact instructions of what I wanted on my sandwich and what not and then when the sandwich came to the table, it was completely wrong as well as my boyfriend sandwich. Upon speaking to the lady in the back that made the sandwiches she was non-receptive had very little interest in what information we were relaying and requesting as having a side plate of what we wanted to add on our sandwiches and instead, she stated that we had to pay for additional things when we already paid. Her attitude was very poor and she belongs working elsewhere. We absolutely will not be going back to this place. read more

I just want to start by saying this, I paid $20 for a sandwich and I can't even be mad because it was the BEST DAMN SANDWHICH I've ever had in my life. Without a doubt. I got the Kali Mist with a few add ins, and double meat (+$4) and I was so satisfied. Riverside is home to many many gems (not even hidden). I was in the area getting my nails done and was looking for a quick bite afterwards, this place is close to downtown and not far from the freeway. When I arrived there was a long line but I was still helped within 5 minutes which was awesome. They have a pretty extensive and detailed menu so take a look before if you can. The tables are first come, first serve. I had a few workers check on me while I was eating which was really cool- they bring the food to your table. I can't remember what I ordered but I DO know it was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. Will definitely find an excuse to come back asap soon as possible. Love it! 10/10 read more

When I arrived I stood at the register for about 10 minutes trying to get someone's attention, but the workers behind the counter completely ignored me even though they clearly saw me standing waiting. When I asked for an extra ranch, I had to wait another 5 minutes before the employee whom I ask asked for extra ranch finally came over to charge me for it. As soon as I told her I was okay with being charged for extra ranch she should had proceeded to charge me and hand me the ranch instead of cleaning and letting me wait until she got done cleaning. The employees were unpleasant, unfriendly, and very rude throughout the entire experience. They seem to hate their job and make the ambiance terrible. Parking is a bit tough at first but then I saw the free parking at the Hampton, so do that instead of circling around cause man oh man it gets busy! So incase you didn't know there's also a bar inside and they have performers. So it can get busy and it's also a bit loud but nothing too crazy. Now the food, we got the pretzel nuggets and the G-13. Those pretzel bites are amazing! Get them, so soft and the honey mustard is perfect. The sandwiches are really good. I have been 3 times in the last month. 1st time was great! 2nd was okay, 3rd was almost as good as the first. Counter staff vary and can seem like they have a case of the "don't cares", I suspect they are high sometimes. Some are very pleasant, others seem disinterested. I usually don't focus on the staff, but it seems to go hand in hand with the quality during my visits. My daughter was pissed, and said she didn't feel like the staff listened to her order. It was one of the best sandwiches I've had at a restaurant, and I don't say that lightly. The ambiance was also very nice, like a clean-street design (if that makes sense). The trash can and soda machine was sticker bombed, but it wasn't overdone and none of the stickers were at all crass like you might find on a street sign.
