I had the Mid West sandwich (delicious!), shot of the day Scooby snack, and a Hash can drink. Now you know the reference, prepare to enter the Twilight Zone or board the Train to Bangkok, because this stoner-friendly chain likely has your munchies covered. I didn't see Oreos and milk on the menu but there is a 7-11 down the street. Worked for the Census this summer in surrounding neighborhoods and I can assure you that an endless source of weed smokers will be overnight patrons. How can you resist the episode of King of the Hill where Bobby trips balls at school playing on the big screen TV by the bar? Sweet tooth kicking in? Check out the baked goods on the counter. Cotton mouth? The soda machine features Pepsi, no Coke. In essence, the only thing missing is smoke hanging in the air. I love the names of the subs (grinders really because they're toasted), 5-0, La Canna, Chronic, AK-47... all names of famous strains of weed (except 5-0 for pigs). Anyhow, we got a couple 'Blunts' to go, which are the 12" size with the 9" 'Pinner' being the next size down followed by the 4" 'Nug'. I actually recommend getting a Pinner unless you're super starving, the Blunt is an impressively packed sub! I think they are a great addition to downtown, especially since the immensely inferior Subway closed earlier this year, and the nearby Riverside Food Lab doesn't have a competitor either. Been waiting for this place to open since I seen the sign posted months ago. I tired the Kali Mist toasted sub and it was loaded with fresh ingredients and very delicious. It also had a bit of a kick if you like a spicier sub. The two things I didn't like are (1) the way they slice their pickles, it's a pickle spear on the sub and not pickle slices and (2) the bread was a bit too toasted and crunchy for me. I also had the garlic cheese bread and it was fire, so yummy. The place was very clean, hand sanitizer stocked, and everyone had masks and following COVID-19 regulations. The employees were friendly and welcoming and offered great recommendation. And they have a full bar. I will be back to try other options and taste their breakfast subs too. read more

Cheba Hut is the only place my niece gets sandwiches from (absolutely hates other sandwich shops) and raves all the time about how good their bread is, so I just had to try it. They offer many vegetarian options (which I love) and various sizes of sandwiches ranging from a tiny 4 inch "nug" to a 12 inch "blunt!" You can customize your sandwich to your liking, and I highly recommend ordering online. Amazing food and people! Super fun and clean environment with stoner vibes. I usually go for G-13 blunt sized so I can save half for later! I love the chipotle mayo on that one. Must try the desserts also! The Goo Balls and chocolate chip cookies are always delish! They had special ones for Valentines Day included in the pic. Our bartender was also fantastic. I used to absolutely love this place. However on Saturday morning I was deeply disturbed by an employee working behind the kitchen expressing his fondness for P. Diddy. While saying the woman and children who attended those party's deserved what they got. Like excuse me how can you hire someone who openly supports CHILD ABUSE AND RAPE. It was a white tall man with a baseball cap on, I unfortunately did not catch his name but regardless of who the employee was, there is no exceptions for this kind of behaviour . A different employee offered me a free drink after realising my self as well as my child witnessed and heard the incident which was very kind but in hindsight doesn't make what he said okay. My friends and family will no longer be supporting this business and I suggest you all who read this do the same. read more

I've eaten at this place three times. I've only tried one sandwich, but it is so delicious! The staff is friendly, but it's no joke how long it takes. They really take their time making the sandwiches...I'm not sure if they're baking the bread while you wait. The ambiance is interesting. They have a bar separate from where you order the sandwich. Overall delicious subs. Best ones I've ever tried. The Thai stick is amazing. A must have! Good customer service. Parking outside and at the hotel next door. With validation. Only thing I didn't like was how provocative the bartender dresses. Just very inappropriate the couple of times I've seen her. Especially when there are children. The food was so bomb , The vibes were cool . But if you are 21+ and you still have your vertical ID , you aren't allowed bar service, i was told my ID was fake even though im 22 and its not expired but just because its vertical they didn't want to accept it (this has never happened at an actual bar but oh well), so they told me to bring my passport. The reason I ordered from this sandwich shop was because of the cool name and supposed "chill" vibe. Subway is way better, and that is saying something lol I called in my order yesterday evening, (blunt-sized Magic Mushroom on wheat) and was told my sandwich would be ready in 10-15 minutes. I show up 30 minutes later, and it's not ready. The place wasn't busy at all, less than 10 customers in the whole place, so I'm not sure of the reason behind the increased wait time. Staff was rude, grungy and unkempt looking, not like someone I'd want to be making my food. Take a shower and maybe clean yourself up a bit before going to work. All had RBF's and were less than hospitable. Y'all look like you hate your job, maybe you should quit and go work somewhere that's not in the food/hospitality industry. After waiting another 10 minutes, my sandwich was finally ready. I get home, open the foil, and boom! Disappointed. Barely any toppings, barely any sauce, and they didn't even cut my blunt-sized sandwich.
