We usually enjoy Checkers when we find one. The service is fast food and they have a good selection. I got the chicken and fries. Fries were really good but chicken bites were just ok I'd probably go for a burger next time. My husband had a burger said it was really good. I finally checked out the local Checkers location this past week. As others have stated - it is indeed inside the Walmart in Haymarket, VA. I walked up, placed my order - a Double Baconzilla burger, with medium fries, and a medium vanilla milk shake. In a few minutes, I received my order, and went to sit and eat in. About halfway through the burger - I realized that there is zero bacon in my burger - AND the burger patties are just blah. No char on the burger at all. The patties tasted - flavor and texture-wise - as if the entire cooking process had taken place in a steamer. Blah. I looked at my receipt - she charged me for a "Double Big Buford" - which has no bacon on it. I could have gone back up and complained - but at this point - I am not interested in eating even more of these burger patties. The fries were hot and crisp - and the vanilla milkshake was frosty and delicious! The burger is the star of any burger show - and the fact that they patties were presented the way they were - combined with getting my order wrong - well, that's just unfortunate. I should have checked my receipt the moment she handed it to me - but I am not used to places getting my order wrong. I should have been clued in when I was having trouble understanding her - when she asked my if I wanted a "vanilla" milkshake - I could not understand her pronunciation of the word "vanilla." Watched what looked like a manager bring ice up in a bucket and dump it into the ice machines up front. Picked ice up off the floor and put it in the blue bucket then walked to the back. I also watched some lady use the fry tool to put fries in the trash but the tool had salt or something on it and she wiped the fry tool in the trash to get it off. Then she got my fries with the same tool that was just touching the trash can. read more

This Checkers is located inside the Walmart in the Trading Square shopping center. I miss having a Checkers nearby so I was really excited when I found out they were putting one in. The menu is great and I absolutely love the burgers. I'm also a big sucker for the fries. My only complaint regarding food/beverage is the soda doesn't seem to have enough carbonation. The staff can be a little hard to deal with. It seems like there's only one person who actually knows what's going on and he's busy doing everything else. Other employees are constantly asking him questions. Also they act like they're suffering which is annoying in general. They need to focus on some solid training to get everyone up to speed. They have a good deal on the back of the receipts. Do a short survey and get a free sandwich with the purchase of a large drink. This can help offset some of the high prices of the menu. *This business is gun carry friendly. read more

Ordered two double fish but when got home discover they gave me double chicken sandwiches instead!!!!!

The first time I went to this location was about a year ago. I ordered some sort of sweet and spicy/sour boneless chicken wings. The sauce was over powering and I ended up tossing them in the bin. I should have stayed away but decided to give this location another go tonight. I ordered a big Buford to go. I got home and took two bites. I should have stopped at one. The meat was cold and tasted as if it had sat out all day. It had an off taste and I tossed the rest of it in the bin as well. The place is in dirty/disgusting condition and the employees could care less. This place would benefit from a strict manager or be shut down. read more

If I could give this place less stars I would. My husband and I grabbed dinner from here tonight on our way out the door from Walmart and first off we got a Coke and there was no carbonation left so it tasted terrible! We asked the guy for a different drink but they all tasted bad because the carbonation was out of the whole machine. The gentleman who was working there made ZERO effort to rectify the situation which was frustrating. Then we got home to eat our meal and it just tasted terrible. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else. You're better off going to Sheetz, their MTOs are amazing and their fry's are epic too. read more

This establishment is embarrassment to checkers. Checkers was the LAST fast food chain I i had hope or any respact for . It has always been a staple of quality for the fast food worLd . Great deals . Great food . But this one In the Walmart in haymarket has tarnished its name . My order was repeated over 3 times . Different tempos and volumes . Update: I went again and have two complaints. One, that they won't accept survey receipts for free sandwich with a purchase of a drink, even though their own receipts show the survey. (Either they don't accept it or they lied about it). Two, the people who work there are either clueless or simply don't care about customer service. While I spoke to an employee about an issue I was having, the manager stood in the back of the restaurant, just staring at me. read more

I have eaten at this location twice...never had a hot burger so I went yesterday to the Manassas Checkers. I won't ever go back. The fries hot the burgers barely lukewarm. I think you can get sick from foods not being hot and cooked and served fast. Who wants barely warm burger...ewww Even with the coupons won't do it again. Used to be pretty good...not sure why service industry isn't taking notice and realize why customers don't come back.
