I would like to start by acknowledging that the cashier who took my order--listed as Tykeya on my receipt--was very personable and courteous. However, I observed some concerning behavior from the kitchen staff during my visit. There were three employees visible: two working in the kitchen and one at the register. While the cashier was actively assisting customers and managing the line, the two cooks--a male and a female--appeared disengaged. At one point, the male employee was scrolling on his phone. More concerning, I witnessed the two cooks sampling food with their bare hands, after which the male employee licked his fingers before both employees proceeded to put on gloves and resume food preparation. I have been visiting this location for years and typically have modest expectations, but this experience was troubling. Observing multiple food safety violations--especially in a location that serves a wide range of customers, including vulnerable individuals--is unacceptable. Went mainly for fries for my partner. No vegan options for me and she doesn't eat too much meat. My partner enjoyed the fries. They didn't add BBQ as we requested so they were a bit on the dry side. They have two sides for drive thru (one on each end it looks like) but it's very confusing! We almost went in the wrong way but thankfully there wasn't much traffic. Hands down the worst Checkers I have ever been to. Pulled into the drive thru and the person about blew our eardrums out when they shouted "can I help you?". My husband says "yes, I'd like one chili dog" the employee goes "is that it?" Sounding exasperated. That exchange goes on for every single item we ordered. Pull up to the window and the employees are all just hanging around chatting with each other. We have to ask for our receipt because they didn't give us one and they wouldn't give it to us. I think people that come up to any fast food joint there is some sort of expectation of quality. It's fast food not always will the product be good or result in the same quality. Take in account of human error, faulty machines, interest in the job itself, or peak times. That makes up for what may be the end result. I think that's why major chain restaurants comparable to dine in fine restaurants have big impact when someone's order does get messed up. Or the worst some sort of food safety violation occurs. This has to be the worst checkers I've ever been to, and I really like checkers food. It seems every time I go here I experience something different and one time I even watch them drop my bag off the counter and put the food back in it. This last time I ordered from the drive-through and was told to park and they would bring the order out to me. 15 minutes later I went back through the drive-through and they looked surprised that I did not receive my order and again told me told me to park and they would bring the order out to me.
