I can recommend Checkpoint Motors to readers without reservation as a very trustworthy shop for all repairs and maintenance. We have taken numerous vehicles to Checkpoint Motors over quite a number of years - and always found them to be very skilled, thorough, honest, fair and courteous. (That's not a combination found very often, and it's quite refreshing). They recently were given the opportunity to really put their diagnostic skills to the test, with our Town & Country having some intermittent troubles with blower, wipers, power windows, radio and such just sporadically deciding to quit working. It was a real challenge to isolate and identify, but their determination tracked down the issues and completely resolved them. Great shop! Every time my fiance and I have brought our SUV into the shop we have left feeling confident that we made the right decision. In addition to consistently offering friendly service, they take the time to make sure you understand the services that your car needs and why they are necessary. James, the owner, has stayed after hours to help us. He took the time to explain to us and show us the repairs that were made, he informed us about some other issues that needed to be addressed as well. He seemed to understand that finances can be a hindrance to obtaining auto repairs regardless of the urgency, so he also took the time to make sure we understood the situation, our options and answered all the questions that we had. Honest, affordable and reliable. I used to work at an auto repair shop tied to a local dealership so I know how many of them work. They had salesman assigned to the technicians. Their job was to sell as many repairs and parts as possible, even if it wasn't needed. That is NOT what you will find at Checkpoint and that's why I like it. They are willing to go above and beyond. On my recent repair (a minor collision that I got into), I got my car back sooner than expected because I was leaving on a trip and needed it. They are honest and upfront about costs. James is Awesome! He is friendly, kind and has never charged more than what has been agreed upon prior to the work performed. He works within my budget and explains what the needs are. I brought my car into the shop about a week ago, and it was such an easy experience.
