: Vehicle Inspection BEWARE, we were forced to take my husband's truck in to this shop. After being charged $800.00 for a new alternator that may not have needed to be replaced, they call my husband and tell him it is still not holding a charge and they do not have the equipment to diagnose what the issue may be, so we will give you the paperwork of what we did and you can take it somewhere else. They did not offer any type of refund for the diagnostics or labor which would have been the least they could have done. Would not recommend this shop to anyone. read more

Car repaired to Specs and as customer requested , but they like to ask and tell you in a special format if you're bringing in and use ing you're own sourced part from the auto parts store, (ROC part), that they still want to 'Troubleshoot', the check engine code you have, which is extra surplus diagnostic time, ON MY evap. Canister hoses, 1 loose, 1 hanging;2 clamps , plastic broke, not replaced ; on Lug nuts for inspection 14 LUGS way too tight,WHEN I ROTATED MY snow wheels, And 5 lugs on 1 rear corner rim, not even torqued down past about 15lbs UNSAFE! Above and beyond!!! I have been a customer for years, and recently brought in our 2nd vehicle, a Mazda, to Same Day after the Dealership Warranty expired. We had major work done and the next day ran into problems. We called Steven and he immediately made arrangements for a tow truck to pick up the vehicle. After performing diagnostics, they couldn't determine exactly what caused the problem. I think this business really rises above the rest due to their customer service, realism, heart of a teacher, and overall work. Background: My 2016 Subaru Crosstrek needed an all wheel drive service done, but I also mentioned the TPMS and a dull low hum in the back left wheel. I was somewhat suspicious before hand that that noise was a bearing going out. Steven called me to ask about the comment made on the initial papers when I dropped the car off to have me describe it. Instantly, he suspected the same issue and asked if I was willing to have them do the inspection for ~$50. I agree. About an hour later, he confirmed that the bearing was going out and quoted a reasonable price for fixing it. What really set this shop apart was they didn't try to upsell me both or all of the bearings being replaced. He instead educated me that bearings only are replaced once they start going bad. I confirmed this on the internet and learned that this sometimes happens at shops looking to make a quick (and dishonest) buck. During the repair, he called me to let me know that the rust build up was bad (thank you Duluth, MN) and it might require leverage being used against the backing plate to get it off. I confirmed all of these procedures on the internet and sure enough, rust does sometimes mess with bearing replacement. Again, another great sign of a mechanic asking permission rather than just doing whatever. It is clear that this team has a lot of respect for the customer. It also is clear that they are realistic in what they are capable of doing. I think that level of authenticity is admirable in an industry filled with many people looking to just screw you over. The repairs and services were all done in the same day at a reasonable price. They also answered my curiosity questions and I really got the sense that they take a very pragmatic view of vehicle maintenance and repair. Breakdown of my costs: $159.00 - All Wheel Drive Differential Fluid Service $52.50 - Inspection of Bearings $375.15 - Replacement of Rear, Driver's Side Bearing Overall, I had a great experience and feel that if you are a reasonable person, you will have a great experience too. read more
